Ms Francis' teammate was my beloved brother. I hate that he was called "dick". I remember, i was 10 and mom let me stay home to watch my handsome brother on TV. I miss you Richard ❤
It is refreshing to see people wearing colorful dresses after around 20 years of WML and other game shows where people only wearing black and white dresses sitting in a white and black room without any audience!
On the previous day's episode (and in general), I assumed that Allen asking the contestants if they will come back is a perfunctory question. Of course they will come back. And presumably the Thursday and Friday episodes were taped on the same day. So it wouldn't be a matter of having to come back. They wouldn't have left. So not expecting that anyone would know the answer after all these years, I can't help but wonder what really happened. I watched their segment again and didn't see any reason why they had a complaint about the game play or any indication that they might not be feeling well. They both nod that they are coming back when Allen asks them. Could something have happened on 4/14 that caused the producer to throw out the rest of their entire segment that day and start over? Did they find out something about one of the contestants that made them ineligible? The only other thing I can think of is that they played for a very long time on Thursday. Perhaps one of them came on knowing they had to leave at the end of their segment and didn't expect that the game would carry over until the next episode. But I would think that the "Password" staff would screen the contestants to make sure they had one change of clothes and could come back for the next episode should it carry over.
Oooops, unfortunately that contestant earns the "Jack Parr Award", for mentioning the word. Should have given the other team 1 or 2 points. The updated version with Keke Palmer and Jimmy Fallon and company, well Jimmy goofed, over the word diamond to Heidi Klum, while the other team gets 2 points for the blunder.
Always enjoy hearing mention of worship with family being a positive thing. Nowadays you'd get sued, cursed, denigrated, etc. You can be as crude, rude, blasphemous as you please, but don't dare mention anything religious! So much for freedom of speech. :-(
It didn't hurt her, since the other contestant knew nothing about American jazz - Larry Blyden gave him both "Parker" and "Bird" and he still had no clue.
Arlene Francis was almost sixty years old here and looks wonderful!
Arlene Francis always carried herself with such class on these game shows of the 1950s and 1960s. A true joy to watch.
No matter where she is.. or what she's doing.. Arlene always steals the show!
And her keen intelligence made her an excellent player in games like Password, and What’s My Line.
Arlene is ageless. She was always a lovely woman and a class act with a sense of humor
She was great in the movie one, two, three.
So cool to see Arlene in color after a decade and a half in black and white on WML.

I regret that I've passed the point where I too could be described as "vivacious." But it perfectly describes Arlene Francis. What a gem.
Funny seeing Arlene and Larry together here, years before they teamed up later on the syndicated version of WML. Larry looks so young.

I remember seeing Larry Blyden on some episodes of Match Game. He was always a good game player...
Always liked arlene Francis sense what's my line classy lady
back when the Game Show Network was fun and showed these classic game shows instead of all the new crap they show today.
Look at that audience. No one is wearing blue jeans !
Or their pajamas!
love Arlene, classy, sexy and fun
Arlene is a dish.
I'm in love with Arlene ❤️
Contestant Richard is a bit like actor John Gavin.
He reminds me of Christopher Reeve.

I wonder what wonderful outfits we missed when the shows were black and white.
Some close friends of Larry Blyden believe he was murdered in Morocco. He was only 49 when he died. So sad.
Neelie B. I heard it was an automobile accident but that the circumstances were "suspicious."
How tragic.
Lovely pink outfit
Arlene was a master at WML, but not so much here.
✂️🖍 That was so funny when Arlene said Lobby as the clue for Hobby. Maybe she was clairvoyant !! 🧰
Might want to look at that part again
They gave terrible clues for “Crank”.

THe whole show would have been canceled if he did that today.
M. M. Say THAT again!!
that's actually not true at all! let's all put on our thinking caps and observe the world without preconceived notions
Amen to that! ❤️🔥🙏
Somebody tell Arlene that a saxophone is not a brass instrument.
Lynn Turman ~ sure, maybe we could have a séance and conjure her up to inform her about brass instruments. 🙄
