    This man is a straight talker and has the intestinal fortitude to speak out about a very common problem. Thank you Sir!

    Well he's 100% right about how well it fixes you in the end , But there is some extreme pain and swelling the first week or 2 of my surgery. But all in all it's worth it. I used a different Surgeon here in TN. But a very high volume office. Ended up being 100% satisfied

      Thanks for your honest opinion. Thinking about having this done, in the near future. Just turned 66.
      Sick of Viagra. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, anymore😏

    I have ED as part of my Parkinson’s disease. No one talks about that. The other treatments are not ultimately going to help me long term. Why the heck didn’t my doctors tell me this?! I’ve been wasting my time with pills! I had to find the implant idea from my daily research! Tell your male friends with PD about this. Hope to have mine before summer.

    Definitely not painless. Two weeks out and still have some discomfort. No one talks about using the bathroom after surgery. You won’t be able to sit down and pee. Recommend a urinal, the shower, or a bucket.

      @@wasimahmed1570 I had the Coloplast Titan. No more pain but unfortunately developed an infection around the pump. I followed all instructions. Have to have it replaced with a semirigid device to maintain length. Not too happy man. Wondering if all this is even worth it? But I wish you good luck. I guess this is standard practice when there is an infection. Having it replaced tomorrow.

      @@natesworld315 well sorry to hear that.infact i would like to have TACTRA malleable implant as there is no risk of infection or mechanical failuar sice u are going for semirigid then which one u are going to have?

      @@wasimahmed1570 there is an infection risk with any implant. Coloplast semirigid
      I don’t know what size. Mine now uses 6.3 inch cylinders, only about 4.5 is usable because of my pubic fat. Imagine 6 inch rods.

    • @natesworld315
      @natesworld315 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am sure your urologist explained the rods have to be trimmed to prevent erosion. If I were you, I would try a two or three piece implant because you can be safely aggressively oversized.

      Exactly.
      I'm 66, and have been considering this procedure.
      Did some research.
      The procedure is 20 to 25,000 dollars. And Medicare covers just about all of it, if you have erectile dysfunction.
      I'm probably going to get this done sometime in the next year.

    An implant should not be pursued until all other remedies have been exhausted.
    It’s IRREVERSIBLE. It can go wrong, each revision can cost length and girth, it’s expensive. The device WILL fail at some point.

    • @DrPaulPerito
      @DrPaulPerito  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not exactly. A penile implant can be removed. While a replacement penile implant has a higher failure rate than the original implant, when placed by a dedicated implanter, it has a failure rate of ~1% per year. As far as the expense, it's covered by most medical insurance providers. That being the case, it should be pursued if prescription drugs don't work, but it's important to act quickly. Time lost is girth and length lost in the erectile tissue.
