Have you tried learning the Do Ra Me Fa So La?? If not,then try it cause it would help you strech your fingers longer and once you master it you can go for the pentatonic scale (I'm a noop too but this method helped me alot)

relax your wrists more the plucking should be done by moving the wrist not arms
