FYI, you can click the little lever on the left side of the black square shaped part of your dashboard and it will raise the hud glass up a bit. This is really helpful for A2A and general flight. You can also lower your seat a bit which I find to be helpful as well.

i quickly adopted the same tactic while running from fighters in a su25 hehe
uncaging the Sidewinder makes it easier :)
