I wonder, if he still alive and well ? ? ? miss him, his music stayed in my ♥️ from 1967 -2020 , and for the rest of my life , I will lesson to his music, until my last breath... . No Kidding, I mean it !
I want this mans cd. Its my childhood with all the Tsavo, Masai Mara experiences! We had to listen to the tape when in safari and all sing along in the car! Goodlife! Anyone know where to find his music... let me know!!
I was able to find it on Google store and bought it there. Went on a Masai Mara safari a couple years ago and it was heaven listening to the album while crisscrossing the park.
Kenya Airways did a full marketing campaign with this Album in collaboration with Roger back in circa1994. My dad sat on the KQ board back then so I got to see it. It was a beautiful video ❤.
Quite amazing that Roger Whittaker returned to the country where he was born and where his mother was tortured and his father murdered .... Yes, you can be proud of Kenya, the country. Of the people .... not so much.
Such a delightful documentary.
It really should have had a cinematic release.

Actually, I think this song could be the national anthem of Kenya ...
Nice African instruments but you still refer to them as 'primitive'

Yan Kararan Emeet, those guys were Kipsigis not Nandi, in Nandi we would say Ya Kararan Emeet.
Kigen and his friends are Kipsigis, not Nandi you can tell from 'yaan' kararan emeet, a Nandi would say ('ya' kararan emeet)
Change to left - *changelep* a corruption of the original parade command!
