Harsil is my favourite and the best place I have visited so far including international and Indian destinations. Thank you for covering it and providing such insightful details about the place. I am going to cover some of the treks in my future visits.

बहुत शानदार, जबरदस्त। ये भाई जी को कितनी डीप जानकारी है , सोचो अगर इन्हें सरकार प्रमोट करे ये कितने युवा गाइड तैयार कर सकते है और अपार रोजगार।। लेकिन इस और कोई सोचता ही नही। में गया हूं इस रस्ते से गंगोत्री, भोजवास गौमुख तक लेकिन हरसिल में ये सब ये आज जाना।

Brother can you help me out with the itinerary? Im on Uttrakhand trip (Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Landour, Dhanaulti, Tehri, Uttarkashi and Gangotri and now I added Harsil as well).
Is normal bus service is available on this route? My trip is solo and I wanted to explore through local buses or state owned transportation.

Very interesting information by madhu Bhai and baramasa.
There were plenty of yaks in Dharchula region too. We still have hundreds of Dzos ( Cross of Yak and Cow ) and a few Yaks.
Cross of Yak and Cow ？ Is not that unnatural ？ Will a buffalow allow an Ox to do so ？ I do no think so. In the same way, ..Will a Cow allow a Bull to impregnate her ？ Never.
