It depends. They didn't clap when the caskets drove by. In some places, when you're on the road & a funeral procession drives by, you pull over & either wait in your car or get out & stand by your car until they pass as a sign of respect.
I think they should’ve been clapping the entire time. These guys just graduated life it would be honorable if they celebrated them. But culture always wants a pity party. But remember taking a knee is a submissive posture. The reason we escaped Europe was to get away from monarchs and dictators so really if your American it’s not appropriate to be kneeling down. But in this case it wouldn’t be a bad thing. It’s only national anthem or politicians you don’t wanna be kneeling for. Because it’s submissive and tells the government you are not free. Hence why people kneel when they pray when they recognize god as a superior authority in there life.
