You stayed at the hostel as we did when I cycled John O'groats to lands end. Those bunk beds are something else!
Great video, great weather and great views 👍

We only stopped for coffee and cake so didn’t see the accommodation. Lovely spot though and so lucky with the weather!

Glad you enjoyed the vid. Next time I go up I’ll stick to the west coast and try to get to some of the islands. If I can get to Lewis and Harris I’ll be over the moon!

It’s a great trip. Worth taking some detours away from the route though. Watch for the midges, they’ll be lethal at this time of year! Enjoy!

Entitled BMW driver. Sadly there are a lot of people who do not know how to drive single track properly. Great video.
I have done the NC500 twice, once in my motorhome (never held anybody up 😇😂)and the second time on my bike. Looking forward to when I get around to doing it on the bike again. You just can't top Scotland's West Coast .👍

Thank you for the kind comment! It is an amazing place and I can’t wait to have another tour up there- I’ll probably focus on the west coast and isles.

Yep, absolutely loved it! Can't wait to get back up there but will miss out the John O'Groats corner...much better roads to explore next time!

Go west and do skye the best by far for roads and scenery 👍

Totally agree, next time I go it’ll be west coast, Mull and Skye.

Great video, I seem to remember seeing somewhere that in Scotland it is the law to move over for faster traffic when on single track roads, maybe somebody can confirm this.

Thanks for the comment! I think it’s more advice and guidance to let faster moving traffic overtake rather than a law. There’s loads of signage telling people this but seems to be a lot of people who never look in their mirrors…

A lot to see on the East coast, but off the bike 😁

No doubt there is, I just never seem to have enough time to explore properly. Sometime I’ll take my wife for a steadier run and take a couple of weeks.

Most but not all car drivers are oblivious to whats going on around them. It's a shame it's not compulsory to have to learn to ride a bike as it certainly sharpens up your instincts as to what is occurring in all directions. You usually find the best car drivers are also bikers.

Totally agree on all points, especially the last one- not that I’m biased of course! 😉
