because is a blast from the ground and not a projectile (that's why getting under any kind of cover doesn't protect you). to avoid it you must get out of his sight (he can only directly target an enemy) or dash fast enough.
A few levels into Barik he strikes me as more of a tank extension than a solo point holder. You were doing good in your video, but when I try solo fronting as Barik I usually can't keep both turrets out in a spot where they'll actually hit something. I find he's much more effective at boosting a chunkier tank's capabilities by putting turrets around them and dropping a shield when theirs is down and maybe alternating shifts on the point depending on HP status.
Really like Barik. Sure, when just reading the skills, he seems like another Engineer/Torbjörn, but he actually plays quite differently, being much more in the enemies face and taking names, instead of hiding behind his turrets.
Ooh I remeber Paladins,I played it when it got out as like really early beta.And I remember that I was so hyped when Bomb King was about to come out.And I was one of the best Paladins player I just couldnt sing up for tournament because I live in Europe and have school to finish
I play Barrik as a flank, gettting behind the enemy and setting up my turrent behind them, then quickly boost myself to the point in where a throw my shield and then set up my 2nd turrent, then I go through a flank route and repeat, always going back to the point to capture it faster and pushing the enemy back, once captured, I go out and get high ground or go behind in where I would set up my turrents, once my ult is ready I boost into a crowd of enemies and active it.
Barik is a beast when built/played properly but I feel like he's more loadout dependent than other tanks to perform as well. More people seem to misunderstand him and play him poorly than Nando because both his playstyle and loadouts requires better understanding of the game which is why most newbloods think he's bad or underpowered.
the funny thing is that i see him in a more offensive light then a defensive one. I seem to find that he is good at payload and control point pushing then he is at defending. Don't get me wrong, i think two turrets behind a barikade is a pain to deal with and a great defensive tool, but i think he can be a lot more fun and effective when used offensively. just my two cents
i find that a good Fernando (of which there is no short supply of it) can counter Barik easily. it is really easy to counter Barik with Tanks (Fernando, Ruckus, Grover, Makoa), and they are generally a nightmare whenever i play Barik
There's Makoa's ult, but it's really hard to make a pure melee character good. Just look at how bad demoknight is in serious TF2 play and how bad grover was post-buff. Reinhardt gets a pass because he has his shield up most of the time anyway and is intentionally limited by range, but with Nando already filling that niche it would be hard to balance properly.
Disagree with the position of the turrets, cuz with the card "healing station IV" its better to have them side by side with you, they'll heal you as you hit everyone, plus With you equip "Combat Repair III or IV" it will be diehard among you.
It's funny that, Bomb King and even Pip can take damage from their skills, but not her on that ultimate hehe. And most of the escapes don't save you from it, because if you are very far ABOVE the ultimate, it stills hits you, the only characters i manage to escape easily from her ult are Buck and Groover.
I personally find Buck way worse. Yes, Skye's bomb is crazy, but it's radius isn't as big as a lot of people think it is. And lately I've seen Skyes extremely lucky to get a double kill, usually only killing one target. When everyone spreads out a bit, her bomb becomes significantly worse as a tool, becoming basically an assassination weapon which she already has plenty of. Buck on the other hand has a ridiculously powerful gun, can immediately close the distance with any target he chooses, has a net that slows whatever gets hit dramatically, and to top it all off, he can just heal away any damage he takes. I'd MUCH rather face a Skye than a Buck.
Skye ult was nerfed again, it only deal the total damage on the center, if you get away from the center, even if you are in the ult range, you take less damage. And yeah, Buck is worse, and personally i think he should receive a nerf as well, even tough i play only him and Evie as flankers, he's too tanky for a flanker, not to mention that sustain, and the fact that he can reset the healing on his ultimate, and there's a card i use on him, that reduces all you cooldoowns on kills by 45% (this on lvl 3, on lvl 4 is 60%), this makes him almost unkillable, healing and jumping all over the place hehe.
Barik feels really hard to play effectively, It's like his turrets and barriers last like five seconds and are gone, on cooldown. His weapon is near useless unless he's right on top of you.
this champion is a team fighter. meaning that yes, you could be the best player on the field, and still being steamrolled because of an incompetent team. but that is not the point. the real problem of barik, is that his jack-of-all-trades is coupled with some heavy design flaws: - the blunderbuss have both a very high damage falloff and spread, the optimal distance for that to work is "far too close", many other champions can easily oudamage him even with the turrets on; a little buff on shield damaging, while it would not completelly resolve the problem, it would make him more capable of mantain position against enemies even when cutt off by the rest of the team - the turrets istantly die as soon as barik does. which means that, no matter what, enemies will disregard the turrets to take down barik every time. having the turrets recieve costant damage that take them down in 2 seconds from full health would be an improvements: the turret is doomed no matter what, but is still a danger
I honestly think the game needs one more player per team like overwatch bring on the complaints about copying, but this allows for a game like overwatch to have two tanks two healers and two damage characters how it stands now though imo if your team has a pip you need another healer you should almost always have a fernando and then this only leaves two spots for either a damage or a flank character assuming you aren't running a makoa or ruckus as well, and when it comes to damage characters again imo you can't solely rely on a kinessa or a flanker for all your damage. So when it comes down to it if someone picks a pip you need to pick another healer if someone picks a ruckus, makoa, barik you need to pick fernando, and then your damage character should be either a cassie or viktor (Note: I understand that ruckus, makoa, and pip all have good damage potential but a good flanker or damage character should still beat them in a lot of fights)
How to play Barik: 1. Go to capture point2. Put your turrets there3. Put shields in front of them4. Shoot someone when they get too close5. Repeat So easy. I want more dynamic play.

Barik's Sentry with healing card turns it into a legendary Dispentry.

That Magikarp is a Spy! i would say his hp is fine. i would suggest more turret damage

I play with Evie pretty often and being able to teleport during Ice Block was indeed a bit OP.
