Playoffs is continuous 5 on 5 OT until someone wins, regular season there is 5 minutes of 3 on 3 if not decide then it will then be decided in a shootout. The longest game in NHL history went into 6thOT(Detroit V Montreal 1936) there was one game in round one in 2020 Tampa V Columbus went to 5thOT.
@@JPMaddenthey still use tempered behind the benches and the box. plexiglass is way lighter and more flexible making it way easier to put in after basketball games or concerts.
The glass is plexiglass. It's a lightweight, transparent, rigid and shatter-resistant thermoplastic. It can be heavy and it rarly breaks during games. If it breaks the refs obviously stop play, make sure no one in the crowd is hurt, and then replace the broken glass with a new one.
The glass breaking clips are pretty old. Occasionally an entire panel gets knocked down and they have to stop play for a few minutes to reattach it, but it rarely actually breaks anymore. Playoff OT is sudden death and continues in the form of 20 minute periods separated by 15 minute intermissions until a goal is scored, so theoretically it could continue forever. During the regular season there is a single 5 minute 3-on-3 OT period played immediately following the 3rd period, and if its still tied they do a shootout.
I think in a shootout it doesn’t matter if the goalie trips them in normal play 100 it’s a penalty. I it’s bc once the player shoots a rebound doesn’t count the goalie has to be beaten clean and yes if no one score in the playoffs the ovetime can continue I think the longest playoff game was 7 OT before the game finally ended I think it was Montreal and Philadelphia old old game idk the year
A lacrosse goal is also called the "Michigan" because it was first done by a player for the University of Michigan. When the puck went in the net after hitting a referee below the belt, he was standing in front of an ad for a St. Louis business called "Schnucks." Just change the "n" to an "m."

Back then it was glass now it’s like plexiglass
Tempered safety glass, like a car windshield.

"Patrick Ruah" at the beginning of the video shows that this Slapshot guy is reading from a script, it's strange
It wasnt the refs fault, the canucks just lost badly, and the Boston Bruins won the Stanley cup
