Korone was deliberately toying with Mio for the first half of this. Then the ghosts permanently haunted the screen and she immediately lost all composure. I’m noticing she does this a lot with things that legitimately scare her. Either it’s all “daijoubu,” or she’s a total, terrified wreck. strangely enough the only thing I find scary about the game is the main character you're moving around with. hard to be scared of everything else if she looks so oddly disinterested/not reacting to what's going on.
All the author's games have the same "disinterested" protags tho, probably is just the artstyle, but to me, sometimes is that they know that reacting would make things worse, but mostly is that they got trapped by the current curse and they can't even tell something is really wrong... Which is very disturbing as well
Korone is the worst but also cutest support I've seen. Mio did well to keep moving forward in this even while afraid though, maybe she actually is a wolf after all.
