I’ll tell ya what, she got this 67 year old hockey fan in Cape Breton Nova Scotia watching women’s college basketball, and loving it. It was awesome. When I started watching her incredible talent it reminded me of a young Wayne Gretzky, who also got people watching and loving a sport they never considered before. Women’s Basketball Great One #22.

Catlin Clark is more than anyone in this basketball world. I’m only from South Korea. Surely I’m a big fan of NBA and NCAA men’s basketball, but rather now I’m keen to watch women’s basketball only because of Caitlin Clark.
I guess not just in America but from all around the world people became a fan of women’s basketball just because of Caitlin Clark.
I can’t explain the reason with exact words. I just watched her game last year during NCAA tournament by accident.
And I have naturally became a big fan of her and Iowa Hawkeyes since then, surely a fan of NCAA women’s basketball.
That is really a “Caitlin Clark Effect”.
I really appreciate to Caitlin Clark, Iowa girls and Coaches for giving me a joy and an emotion of enjoying the game sincerely.❤

GOAT = 1 person, not a whole team. Being the goat isn’t about winning championships because championships are about teams. With all the records Caitlin set, the way that she carries herself, the way that she changed the sport, and the kind of teammate she was…she is the goat (at least of college wbb for now).

Well, in all fairness, a team can be the GOAT too. "Greatest Of All Time" time doesnt just mean a person by its very definition. There is no word in that acronym that signifies it must be a person at all. So it all depends of what specifically you are referring too. There can be a GOAT for defense, a GOAT for specific teams, A GOAT for rebounding..etc etc.

It is still a great carreer and a good life for these young athletes. You need to put things in perspective or else you will get lost in this circus. And at this day and age, with social media, they are in a microscope. These old bitter women players who are pros ( will not name names but you know them) will never know the weight that these young NCAA players in this era had to carry, What Caitlin and the Iowa team had to carry (the media exposure, the nasty comments, they are just college kids who want to play ball) because they've never been in this kind of spotlight before, everyone's got something to say, most are bad, some good, you cant win with the mob. But it is how they all handle the loss with grace and positivity that matters. At the end of the day, the ring is just a hardware. Good Luck ladies on your chosen paths in life. You are great examples for the younger generation.

To the haters who say she's not the GOAT because she never won a championship, consider this hypothetical scenario.
Suppose that in the South Carolina game, it came down to 3 seconds left in regulation and Iowa is ahead by two points. South Carolina inbounds the ball and a player takes a 3-point shot with time expiring as the ball is in the air. If she makes the shot, USC wins by one point and Caitlin is not the GOAT (despite ALL the many things she has done for the game) because she never won a championship. However, if that SC player misses her shot, then Iowa wins by two and Caitlin is the GOAT because she won a championship (in addition to ALL the many things she has done for the game). So, whether Caitlin is the GOAT or not depends on whether that opponent makes or misses her shot? It does not make any sense.
Caitlin is the GOAT. End of story.

That SC team was deeeeeep. Other than Caitlin they had advantages at every position including the bench. I was surprised Iowa kept it that close honestly bc SC just had better athletes across the board. Iowa’s women look mostly like normal women. SC’s women look different. There’s no body fat on them except for their centers and their quickness is next level. Caitlin is still so far beyond any of them, that if Iowa had just one more athlete who could drop 20 ppg and put pressure on the rim they would’ve won that game despite the rebounding margin and being physically outclassed
