Great guide! I found if you put Traveler in the spot where Dane is, it targets the orb rather than the boss. The yellow targeting line indicates it should target the boss, but does not. Swapping over to Sigrid targets correctly. I've noticed this in PVP also with some characters completely ignoring the yellow targeting line and going straight for the center tank.
That formation advice is perfect! I don’t have the same champions but it works with my team.

Great guide. I had to change the position of the top left champ and bring them down so they'd attack the boss and then managed to clear stage 3 for the first time (day 2 of the swamp monster quest, nothing else to do haha)

Thanks to your videos i learned to try different positionings in battles. Difficult fights i sometimes still get done with the same team using different position. Really helpful!
Wow changed the game for me. I'm new to the game, only a few days and was stuck on level 4 venom using legendary tank Eurion which is not a great tank for this boss. But I managed to clear it occasionally now, instead of lasting one ult from the boss. I'm training up Gareth for this boss, I heard his passive is very niche and suited for this boss.

Voresh was the single most impactful champion I pulled and it took well over a hundred pulls. I was managing to get by with others enough to improve slowly, but he opened up new tiers of difficulty. His kit is so great everywhere. I used my choice epic on Frurbath and I don't really regret it, but Voresh would've been a better choice in hindsight.

I dont have Meggan or Voresh, but I put Katherine instead of Meggan and Traveler (ice affinity) instead of Voresh and it works too. Used Horrus - tank. Hexsandra - second healer and Dane - DPS.

same positioning but i used: Horrus/Frurbath - Hexandra, MC (fire), Sigrid
actually there is another hero placement that works better, @jediphouka made a video with it, also your friend oddonegaming made a video with that positioning, on the tank line in front first square at the top i have Meggan (lvl 70), then 1 free square, then the tank, then the main character as frost/fire, on the back line first square at the top its free, then i have Heksandra then 2 free squares, and at the bottom square Sigrid ... only meggan in front get hit by the left orb and only the tank by the harpy, the harpy ulti doesnt touch meggan

But most of my top heros now have legendary gear. For venom 8
Horrus 100 but mc hek Meggan iola 4* 90.
So should I now focus on more goblin or very hard heretical ruins? Or 5* these heroes. Not sure where to go from here. S1. Ty

Put a hero with atk penalty and an have accurxy high enogh so it always applys.
Journey lvl 28. Need help clearing the story line. I cant get past: : defeat the mysterious monster" where 12 giant stone like monster's attack you. I die in seconds no matter what i do !!
You can move back row one square to right.
I've been farmin lvl 8 for ages but they only give me fragments..no leggo equip😢
Something is off on this rn.. coz i'm using the exact same setup and positioning and my Meggan gets attacked by the top add even though she has 30k health and my lowest got 28k health.

Yeah i tried that as well, didn't help. Dunno what's up really.
I swapped Meggan out for Enna and then it worked for some reason.
Both was the same level 70 and i took the gear from Meggan to Enna... very odd.
This strategy worked with Usha on the Top front position beside the tank as well.
Though Usha did take dmg from the Aoe hit, but since she has the shield she survives and gets topped for me before it rotates around again.@@SkratchG
I use Lucien but I'm not able to pass level 4, it must be because I don't have good equipment, but is this poison tank better?

You need to look for ranged units instead

The vid is great, but as an intuitive battle system of the mechanics of this fight, it is abysmal. There is no instruction / reasoning WHY this positioning blocks the AOE. This is just bad game design. There needs to be a way to figure stuff out in-game without just blindly plonking characters on the grid or resorting to online word of mouth.

What works instead of dane
Another decent AOE dmg dealer will do.
You know what would help? A minimum stat requirement to beat each stage of a dungeon. For example, Venom 5
Venom 5
Min lvl = 90
Accuracy = 30
DPS = 100k
main tank Defense = 40k
Resistance = 0
Must have attack down, dispel debuff, etc.
It's hard to gauge the min requirement when you're missing the hero's and gear you guys use to beat the stage with.
Hi, yes would be great but those things can only be obtained from data mining.
So... now that we got Venom 8 out of the way, how about 9? Been using Frurbath (?) as my tank and 8 has been working pretty much immediately, however, he pretty much instantly dies in 9.
All the clears use Garruk instead, but I don't have him. Any way to make this work with Frurboii?
