I never watched stranger things before so this was the first thing I saw with Millie in it and her acting is truly amazing...but I simped for the guy the whole movie ngl
I mean they were still teens and Enola still has a whole life of mystery ahead of her, she hasn't even reunited with her mother when he asked her to stay so yeah. Good thing there's another sequel then.
After watching this I realized I really like Millie's acting, the problem was definitely me not liking stranger things. Millie has a LOT of potential, I'm happy she did this. And the chemistry between this two was wonderful ♥
Enola and Tewkbury definitely have more chemistry than Eleven/Jane and Mike. I also think that Millie has a better and more independent personality as Enola than as Eleven. As Enola she's more "I'm an independent woman who don't need no man." Whereas, Eleven is more like, "Mike. Mike. Mike. I can protect and fight for myself, but I need Mike." Enola>>>Eleven
Enola was raised to be independent by her mother and grew up secure in her mother's love. Eleven was kept in a lab where she was abused and mistreated. Mike was one of the first people to show her kindness and she clings to him because she has had very few people in her life that she could trust. It's not Eleven's fault that she has been through so much trauma and we shouldn't judge her for needing Mike and the safety and security that he represents.
