- Port Grimaud is one of the most famous coastal towns in the world, but it’s only been in existence for around fifty years. A colorful port, nicknamed ‘The Little Venice of Provence’ and endorsed as a 20th Century Heritage site - it’s a place full of surprises.
Port Grimaud was brought to life on the French Riviera, and while its canals will no doubt remind you of the Floating City, it’s a project firmly rooted in Provence, as conceived by its architect, François Spoerry.

Camping de la plage was my child holiday campsite I’m 50 now we went back 2018 and 2019 we walked through … Not changed much really

Use to go there as a kid as my grandad had a caravan spot on the beach and we'd camp nearby via 'harry shaw' camping. It was NOT posh looking like it is now. I'd love to go back! My grandad still drove his caravan there into his 80s all the way from from the UK. His spot was right about the 14:20 bit of this video. He'd have such a scruff caravan next to all the super caravans that his German neighbours would have! Great memories of playing bools with total strangers of all ages. It always smelt slightly of sewers and the shower block had lizards that I was scared of!

It is next to Port Grimaud, there are several different campsites in that place.
