Wow. Montenegro surely needs some serious consideration for anyone who has the budget to buy in to it with the advantage of being out of the Schengen zone.
Can somebody help me understand how another countries tax laws could benefit me? I still have to pay income taxes to USA regardless of where I own other real estate.
Tax rate is 15%. VAT is 21%. Tax on computers and a few other items is 7%. You mentioned some daily tax in one of your videos. Do hotels also tax tourists? This makes the country a lot less attractive. However, I will give that it looks like a beautiful place to visit for a few days.
Most hotels pay the tourist tax, 0% tax is hard to beat. Being in the financial bracket that can afford Monaco’s cost for citizenship of course that may be a huge win. That said Montenegro is still lower than most countries, the US can hit you at 37% and if you’re from California or New York you get hosed even worse.
@@WarrenJulieTravel what's your tax rate in your home state? I don't know where you are from I live in the Netherlands and originally from Maryland. Since I own a business that requires travel, I can take advantage of the write offs. You should check out DAFT. It is a great program between the US and the Netherlands.
@@WarrenJulieTravel I agree that our taxes can get crazy but if one has ample write offs and a good tax person they can be cut in half. And I am from California. 😉
Yes & No, please look at our other Montenegro videos. We normally focus on the affordable quality of life, we decided to showcase the other side of Montenegro that caters to the rich in this video and an upcoming house video.
I have sailed many times in Montenegro. The waters are a primary focus for cruise ships and the rich who sail. Frankly, I don't think the country any time soon would rival Monaco. I That's just wishful thinking. Your pros and cons about living there is enough for me not to buy. Thanks but no thanks. 😉
I think everywhere there are pros and cons, we think the pros outweigh the cons in our opinion. We don’t want to be those guys that only give the positive and not the reality.

Agreed 👍
Great stuff guys!
Thanks 😊
I don’t like seeing the elites ruining beautiful
places.
I loved Montenegro when there 2 years ago.
No desire to ever visit Monaco!
I don’t think they will ruin this beautiful little country. It’s still a very lovely place.
🎉 The background music is good but a little lower better to hear your narration (at the end alreast got a bit high)
Thanks for the input. We noticed it too, but after it was published. Thanks for watching:)

Yes if they get rid of income tax completely. Must be 0%. Not sure why more countries don’t get rid of income tax. It’s stupid and should be illegal.
No argument from me, not a tax fan period.
