  • 2.05 GCD Speed, 6m39s Killtime. Rank 1 at time of upload.
    Log: www.fflogs.com...
    My Reawakens on the 2m windows were delayed more than is standard as our SCH and PCT drifted their raid buffs often, so I would delay my own burst window to maximise the gain for them. This changes nothing about my own rotation or final damage.

    Crazy what being funneled all the savage gear does to you week 1 lol

      Yeah it's insane, I had Dance Partner so they fed me all the gear except for left-side augment and tomeweapon+augment, but now i get nothing for 2 months since im last in line for Mount and Orchestrion. Honestly im content with it, I got the mount week1 last tier as white mage so I get to do the reverse this time around. Plus, I've been helping friends get their 1-3 clears in PF, gotta use this power for good as well as evil lol

    Absolutely insane damage output. Now I want to practice Viper for this fight as I usually play DNC.

      Viper's incredibly fun, it has a really high APM/CPM relative to most other jobs so even if it's simple on the surface you have a lot to keep track of and keep in mind, like the constant mandatory double weaves in the Winder combo and Uncoiled Fury. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to try it out in high-end content^^

    I play on controller as well and I’m glad to see that our hot bars are exactly the same. Great minds think alike 😂

    Congrats mate, I don't know what blows my mind more, the amount of DPS that was outputted or he fact that you did all of this with a controller (unless controllers are normally used at such a high level of play?), ggs!!

      Controllers are very viable, I think half of Neverland's roster (now Echo) plays on controller.

      Controllers are generally better for jobs that doesn't need targeting your allies, so its good for DPS and Tank (except Paladin). It give you good ergononomic and less movement for your keys, also its very comfortable when you use movement + action
      Keyboard is still Healer best in slot though

      @@blushingralseiuwu2222 "Keyboard is still Healer best in slot though" is ironically very subjective. Both of the healers in my static play on controller and we cleared the savage tier in 3 days. There's nothing inherently bad about playing healer on controller, ESPECIALLY if you don't mind delving into the world of plugins.

      @@Spiritchuckpvp it's still very hard for healer to use gamepad for stuff like Bozja and alliance raid, though it's rare. Anyway, what plugins are you referring to? Might be useful for me to train healer with gamepad

      @@blushingralseiuwu2222 I don't play on controller myself so I don't know the ins and outs of it all, but ReAction and macro queuing are big ones. ReAction let's you reassign the application priority of your skills to be automatic based on a priority list, for example if you're playing Sage you can make it so Druochole automatically goes to the main tank, so you can keep targeting boss and heal the tank at the same time.

    Rotation of viper is so braindead that it’s not interesting class anymore

    • @acerayquaza
      @acerayquaza  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The removal of Noxious Gnash did make the job easier in full uptime on a striking dummy, yes, but the job still has a lot to manage and optimise. You have 4 buffs and 2 gauges to upkeep/not overcap, and even a single instance of untargetable/stunned downtime introduces rotational alignment that you need to both minimise the impact of and then fix any issues caused by it.
      In savage, there's multiple places in all current fights where smart planning of Uncoiled Fury usages is required to keep full uptime, particularly in M3S and M4S where three UFs in a row are needed for a certain mechanic in each.

      @@acerayquaza viper got literally 3gcds in a row that got 20 range and are gain. This class is so easy you don’t even need to think anymore

    • @acerayquaza
      @acerayquaza  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Majkelo_ It started with them, it didn't get them in 7.05. If ranged GCDs make a job easy, then every non-melee and non-tank would also be easy by that logic, which is definitely not the case.

      @@acerayquaza so clicking shiny buttons like ape is hard enough ? You can just follow what game tell you to click

    • @acerayquaza
      @acerayquaza  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Majkelo_ I mean, the game tells you what to press on basically any job with a 123 combo. Tanks, Melees, Ranged, even some Healers and Casters. All jobs now also have buttons that you just press when they light up, like Gunbreaker's Lionheart combo, WHM's Glare 4, NIN's Tenri Jindo, Samurai's Tsubame-Gaeshi, Machinist's Full Metal Machinist, Summoner's Searing Flash, RDM's entire melee combo, etc etc. It has always been a thing in the game and will continue to be.

      I play on console, and as such have no physical way to use addons. This log happened to get uploaded by a party member who *was* using addons, and I was unaware of it until someone told me in party chat a couple of runs later that I'd gotten rank 1 at the time.
