    You do the best explanations by fare about Max.
    No one even comes close to the clarity of your teaching....
    Most ppl leave out important details, so I have more questions after the videos, then before.
    But with you everything is clear.
    Thanks my friend, great job.

    This is an extremely informative video. All the objects you mention seem essential to working with MAX. I really appreciate your efforts! I was wondering whether or not you have ever done a tutorial on how to load a VST plug in, such as Dexed or Surge, into Max/MSP. I have yet to find anything online that explains this process in adequate detail.

    Hello! This is amazing. You explain things very clearly.
    I have one doubt. When I press the button to trigger the wave shape I draw on the little function square, it just works once (when I press it). It doesn't remain activated... I mean the one you create at 12:16 in the video. Sorry for explaining myself so badly; I'm very new at this. I'll keep watching. Thanks!!

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the function object’s line is drawn all the way to the bottom then the last number that will be sent out of it when you click the button is a 0 which will end the sound. If you want it to be continuous then don’t draw the line to the bottom.

    good explainations, thanks a lot :) !
    just a detail : how do i activate the visualization window ? I mean when u move the mouse over an audio signal.

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the event probe setting under the debug tab in the main menu bar! Make sure you have it checked on

    what did you click to create the bang button?

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can create a button by pressing the b button on your keyboard. Alternatively you can also create a new object and type in the name button

  • @OdysseasMichalakis

    Hello. How did you put inside the patch the float number box?

    • @OdysseasMichalakis
      @OdysseasMichalakis ปีที่แล้ว

      and also how you put numbers into the float number box? i mean how you activate it.

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can create a float number box either by creating a new object and typing in flonum or by pressing the f key on your keyboard. To enter numbers into you either need to patch data into it that passes numbers or you need to lock the patch and click and drag inside the float number box to move the value up or down.

  • @EvenStarLoveAnanda

    How do I unlock a patcher that has been locked by a feed back loop?
    I have lost 10 days of work because of one bad connection?
    WTF is up with that.
    I can't even delete patch-cords.
    Any ideas guys?
    Everyone be careful out there, this is the second time this happened to me.
    MAX needs a sequential loading option to recover this kinds of shit.

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It happens sometimes. If it’s because of audio feedback my best advice without seeing the patch is force quit max, reopen it, and try to shut off the audio driver.

    7:00 Why is it not a perfect sign wave of 220 Hz coming from cycle~???

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was adjusting the frequency value in that moment. Also the scope objects parameters may need to be modified a bit to show the entire wave shape

    What is line

    • @AndrewRobinson26
      @AndrewRobinson26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The line object is used to create ramps. You send it a list which tells it to go from point A to point B in X amount of Milliseconds. In this instance the function's line~ outlet formats the output for the line object automatically based on how you setup the points within the function object. for a more in depth answer about how line works I recommending watching this video I made: th-cam.com/video/V2SCRtij1sU/w-d-xo.html (I talk about the line object specifically at 7:00)

    Thank you very much, how would i go about keeping this 8:50 flonum object for the manipulation of volume beyond 1, while utilizing the line object (which seems to be limited to 1) for enveloping?
