I also had induced menopause way back in 2016 which lasted for a year. We were trying to stop the growth of my myoma. And yes those side effects are true. You really need to have a supportive partner to go all through this. That's a moment in my life wherein I realized, ang hirap maging babae. But after all those unpleasant days and sacrifices, here we are, blessed with a 2-year-old baby boy. Fighting Vernice!

Hi Vernice! Just want to share my endometriosis and PCOS journey. I was asked by my OB to take pills (visanne) and I also do injectables as well. It's really true that you're going to have anxiety. At first I thought it wasn't true but there were times that I instantly feel really anxious about going to work and there were also times where I became afraid of riding a jeep or bus because I used to think na what if maaksidente ako or nagfflask back yung childhood memory ko na naaksidente kami sa sasakyan. I didn't take any anti depressant back then, I just have a strong support system and after 2 years I'm now endometriosis free and I already have a 2-year old daughter. Laban lang I'll be praying for you and Vern 🙏🏻😇

Hi Vernice, I have endometriosis and last year had a surgery to remove it. They have also injected monthly for 4 months as what u mentioned menopause stage to stop my menstration. It actually helps and now my menstration went back to normal and ofcourse daily checkups to monitor it. Yes, I experienced anxiety but diverted it by exercising. Try other opinions as well for other OB and see what they say. My OB is from Asian hospital. Wish all women having this kind of issues became aware and stay strong ❤

Hi Vernience, thank you for sharing your endometriosis journey. I do have too, I stopped taking visanne and we were advised on trying to get pregnant. My monthly period is so painful, sometimes I feel hopeless but everytime I hear stories of the same situation I've become hopeful. We can do this ladies, laban lang 💪💪💪

Hi Vernice! Cheer up! I have endometriosis too and was advised with induced menopause as well. Been in and out of the hospital this time last year. First few months I had the injectables but I experienced breakout. So I asked my OB what’s another option. She gave me pills - 1st brand I took gave me migraine but no breakout. Had another check up and my OB change my pills again. Been taking it for months now and no side effects for me. Especially no anxiety so best to find the right meds with your OB. I can share you mine if you want. My OB is at St. Lukes BGC. Praying for us girls who experience this. FIGHTING! ❤

I just watched your video, what if you try doing healthy living like you have to cut off chichirias, red meats & sweets. After I gave birth last 2020, I ate anything I want thus PCOS, endometriosis, polyps were back and my period hadn’t come until July of this year I started dieting like meatless food, cut off sweets & cut off carbs in short my meals & what I ate were really boring then last September got heavy period like I think all my cyst were washed away then boom I got pregnant again. There’s no harm in trying & natural healing, hope this helps & God Bless you & Vern ❤

I agree. Switch to healthy lifestyle is the key to a healthy body. Highly recommended ni OB REI ang gulay at fruits. Discourage sa processed foods, red meat and alcohol. Avoid din daw gluten foods. Kasi sila yung nagko cause ng inflammation sa katawan natin.

Hello Verniece! I was also diagnosed of endometriosis (deeply infiltrating endo) and pcos last 2016. Had two open surgeries since then and the cysts keep coming back over and over until now. Tried different pills and injectables for few years but nothing really works and I feel like those are just bandaid solution and not a permanent one. I had induced menopause for 3mos after my 2nd op and it was really the WORST! The side effects of it were so terrible na mas pipiliin ko na lang yung menstrual pain every month 'cause I know I can endure the physical pain more than the mental stress it brings me. After years of trial and error, I was lucky enough to find what works for me and that is DMPA contraceptive injection. It has side effects but not that extreme than what I had with my prev injectables/pills and induced menopause. I still have endo cysts but they are controlled and the pain is tolerable. You might also want to join Endo discussion groups because you will learn/discover a lot about our illness and find other treatments that "might" work for you besides induced menopause. We can get through it.

Don't worry so much about having those injectibles (lupron). It will definitely be a big help with your endo (both yan with visanne, visanne is just the tamer one). Been on and off with lupron for years and it really isn't the nicest feeling- get ready with your mood swings changes (makikita yan ni Alf) and hot flashes. One key thing is as much as possible, try to lessen intake of red meat, dairy, eggs until kaya mo na wala na. I avoided these for a few years now and my endo isn't as bad as it was before.
Didn't feel the anxiety as much (so don't worry about it!) - kasi a big help will be how your partner helps you. May times talagang sasabog ka, dapat hindi ka niya sabayan with it. Been there done that, you'll be okay!! Aja!

Hi ate vernice! Share ko lng po. I also have endometriotic cyst since College. When my polyp in gallbladder occur the pain I fell I have a ultrasound and found out that I have endometriotic cyst. Then I try natural herbs but yung cyst is anjan pa din po. Yung polyp ko lng po yung nawala. Then I have my Oby check up she told me to have injections and needle to put in my arm so that My menstration will stop. Because when My menstration occur I have so much pain in my lower abdomen that can fainted me so much. I try 3 months of injection to stop my menstration but my body cannot resist the injection so I stop. My oby told me also that if im gonna be pregnant the endometriotic cyst will disappear. But Im graduating to college that year and my oby told me that if my menstration is stop the cyst will also stop growing. So myhusband and I try to conceive and we had a baby but after 1 month of pregnancy i go to hospital to have ultrasound because I bleed and the baby is dead in my stomach but the endometriotic cyst is gone. And after our baby is gone and also my endometriotic is gone we try to conceive and now I have a 10months old baby girl now. I can only advice is stop drinking juices, softdrinks, alcoholoc drinks and salty foods, oily foods, less rice, and also maintain your normal weight and especially rest and no to stress. Just continue praying and be healthy po.❤😇

And also po yung lower abdomen ko noon is lumalaki, akala ko lng po noon baka sa mga softdrinks na iniinom ko lng po pero sa cyst napo pala yun. And when the cyst is gone my lower abdomen is now flatten. And I didn’t go to any surgery to get that cyst out of my ovary kasi po may possibility po na babalik po yan if pinatanggal po.

Omg I have the same type of endometriosis, too! The chocolate cysts… had my surgery last Sept 2020. Sadly, nagrecur siya August 2022 pero fighting lang for my fellow endowarriors like you ❤ What we’re trying to do now is to try na paliitin and sana mawala pa yung 2cm and prevent it from recurring. Been very anxious lately to the point na I consulted a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist, ngayon lang nagsink in sakin na pwedeng side effect pala kasi siya ng endometriosis ko. 😅

In between of my medication, I feel the palpitations and increase heart rate. So I had ECG and thyroid panel. Exactly, the same day, during the follow up check up. Here comes the side effect on it. I have grown toxic goiter (Hyperthyroidism) and the symptoms are really unpleasant. Meanwhile, I stopped my Ob-gyne sessions temporarily to treat my goiter.. Labannn 💪

Hi Vern! I had my endometriosis and ovary removed way back 2019. During the surgery they were just trying to remove the endometriosis but they end up removing my right ovary too because the cyst ate and dried up my ovary. I was depressed and had anxiety at first because I was still young and single back then. But my OB said it was the best option as endometriosis is recurring. If they did not removed my ovary, I will go through the same thing again.

I had a recurrence of my endometriosis, 4x. Went for surgery 4x as well and every after surgery, I went for induced menopause for 6 months. I wanted to get pregnant so right after my last induced menopause, I had to prep for a fertility program but was not successful. Side effects of induced menopause for me were, hot flushes, insomnia, mood swings, bad skin and I got fat too. I am in SG and sadly, same lang ang advise ng mga doctors. My doc did advise for me to wait and told me to conceive naturally but bec my endo came back too fast and had multiple surgeries with induced menopause every time, it resulted to too long of a downtime and my age eventually caught up until I could no longer produce enough viable eggs to even be eligible for IVF. I just had to accept it no matter how painful it was. Coming from this experience, maybe you can consider taking an aggressive approach if you really want to get pregnant while your chances are still high like consider freezing your eggs etc. Not to discourage or anything but di na kse mabalik ang time lost and in my case naghintay ako kse sabi bata pa daw ako pwede pa the normal way pero nung hindi nagwork, nawalan na din ng chance kahit may intervention pa and even if afford mo pa. Easy to say don't get stressed pero honestly nakakastress naman talaga sha lalo if gustong gusto nyo. I am just grateful that my husband gave me the assurance na ok lang kahit wala kaming anak but I did pray for both of us na sana matanggap namin wholeheartedly if wala. Natanggap naman but syempre may kirot pa din kahit pano. Just keep praying. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

There is also a supplement which has helped quite a number of people already. Try researching for PURTIER and see if you are ok to take it. It's expensive for a supplement but this has been around since 2007 and was founded here in SG. No side effects so far except that you will go through what they call healing crisis but will go away anyway. Late na nung nadiscover ko may ganito so di na ako pwede but I have family members who took it and are taking it for other health issues and they are ok. It's not a cure, it's only a supplement. May office jan sa Manila and Cebu din so accessible sha for you. Baka lang makatulong sa'yo or sa inyo ni Vern. God bless!

Hello vern! I dont know if you would be able to read my comment but I just wann share my journey as well to you. I was 22yrs old when I found out na may edometrioma ako sa left ovary ko and endometriosis on my right. My OB told me na my left ovary was converted na into a cyst and surgery should be done to remove my left ovary. The chance of me getting pregnant is impossible. But 5 months later after taking pro-15 or any probiotics lumiit yung endometrioma ko and my right ovary was normal na wala ng kumpol kumpol na cyst and 2 months later I got pregnant na with my 1 yr old daughter now.

Hi verniece! I hope you would read the book women’s bodies, women’s wisdom by dr. Christiane northrup. You know your body more than any doctor would. Trust your body that it would heal given a healthy environment and do not ever give away your power on doctors opinions to dictate what you should do or not to do. As the wise people of the past would say, your body is your home and you know your body more than any people or even doctors in the world. Listen to your body. Pain is a way of your body telling you to stop everything, and listen to its cries. Tend to the pain and you will gain wisdom.

I am praying you would consider the alternative to western medicine which is the eastern medicine point of view of your disease. Hope you would try and consider chinese medicine, herbs, acupuncture, emotional & spiritual healing as well as healing your repressed trauma from the past and inner child work. They are all i interconnected and needed for holistic healing and growth. Educate yourself first hand instead of relying on your doctors to dictate your life choices. Stand in your power. You are your own healer. There are so many wonderful books on self healing go to amazon. Disease such as endometriosis is a dis-ease in your body. Your body is screaming for attention. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Same thought, I was wondering if infused or induced ba. Just wanted to let you know I have been on induced menopause for over 5 years and the quality of life is so much better since you don’t have to go through dysmenorrhea every month. I was told by my OB here in Canada that Visanne (Dienogest) does not affect fertility and that if I ever want to get pregnant, I just need to stop taking it.

Hi verniece! I have PCOS, endometrial hyperplasia w/out atypia, polyps and anovulation and I never had regular period since I was in my teenage years until a year ago. I was told by my OB their in the Ph that I could never be preggy. When I moved her in the US I took a leap of faith to try to find a way to get preggy. I have three obgyne, my regular gyne, my oncologist gyne and our fertility gyne. It was just two years ago when I learned about my endometrial hyperplasia (thickened lining in my uterus) by my oncologist gyne, I undergone treatment for two years because if left untreated it could go worst. Fortunately the treatment worked and just recently we have been seeing a fertility doctor, I have been having my monthly period and have done two rounds of IUI which sadly was not successful but at least the slight of chance to get preggy is there. I have definitely change lifestyle, I used to drink wine like a lot, chips, sweets. As difficult to cut those off but I had to so I could hopefully get conceive. Don’t lose hope, the anxiety, stress and frustration is going to be there, lean on to you partner and family for support. We can do this. And also I do not want to discredit our doctors in Ph but yes I think with limited equipment available in our country sometimes it is good to get another help outside the country perhaps Dubai, Singapore, US etc. Our doctors in PH are great don’t get me wrong but I think it is really the limited equipment or resources. Cheers to all the woman are trying to be a mother. We will get thru this.

I just came back from Switzerland and I can attest to the price... on our first night, we only have a few options for dinner since it's Sunday and it's late so most places are closed. We ended up getting a small burger meal at Burger King for 2 and it costs us almost $35 so planning the expense is a must! :D but get the train pass it will save you a ton especially if you are going to the CLOY shooting areas like we did :)
