I am expected to wear dresses and skirts when I'm at my in-laws house
Atleast just at their house
Okay off topic for a moment, your skin? 😍😍
Thank you love. I started taking skin care very seriously
My soon to be mother in law is very modern as well but I enjoyed this video very much.
Thank you for watching and we are happy for a a modern inlaw
🙈 being a makoti is something else
You will be humble like a vatoek 😂🤣😂🤣
Oh wow mother in law this nice is a keeper
She was the best
In Botswana you just wear clothes that are just meant for when you taken to your in laws. Apart from that they don't dictate much what you should wear or not.
You lucky. Some of us have it deep
Very interesting listening to this.. it's an education :)
Thank you
Yoh that no pants one is painful 😭 and it’s very common in South Africa.
Dude and pants are so comfortable
It is so interesting to know
It rough for the makoti’s out there
You're so blessed your mom in law treated you so well🙏❤️
Thank you love
We are probably gonna lose those peelers and stuff because people are always borrowing them 🙊
I see the shade in this 😂🤣😂😂
Is this a twsana tradition? I did not receive any makoti clothes nore a dress code
There are actually a lot of cultures that does it in South Africa. I also never received it. They didn’t even give me a name
Xhosa people are strong when it comes to makoti clothes
@@thethemakhele8450 will you say that the didnt do it to you because you are not south african? Genuine question
@@africaine4889 could be hey. Never thought about it like that
@@thethemakhele8450I don't think that it's because you're Congolese or anything like that. Some families are very modern and decide to do away with some things. My mother went through makoti duties because that's what was expected of their generation, additionally, she the family elder now she has a choice of what to enforce and not enforce. Her 2 daughters-in-law were not given names and don't do makoti duties. She prefers to things herself. They are only expected to help out at funerals or celebrations because it's only polite to help those who need to be assisted. Based on what you described, your mother-in-law was probably a mosotho and a very modern one.
Very lovely to know how others do it.
Thanks sis 💕
It rough for us out here lol 😂 thanks for watching
Haha I wouldn't make it as a Makoti I'm sorry 🤣🤣
Moghel you will be inlove and can’t say no lol 😂
