The original Turkic people are East Asian. Human Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup Studies show: east asia people are C, N, O+(DQ). Among them, the original turkic people N are very similar to O (chinese, korean, japanese), they came from the same gene haplogroup NO but absolutely different from J(J1+J2/Turkey) Type of east Mediterranean people.
      J1 is Arabic haplogroup
J2 is Native Anatolian haplogroup, from hittite, Canaanites
E1B is ancient greek, albanian and sub-saharan African haplogroup
G-M201 is most commonly found in Georgia; it is found at even higher levels among many other regional and minority populations, such as the Ossetians,
Turkish →60%-70%JGER1b,the Near/Middle East and southern Europe
      R1a+Q→Central Asian/Paleo-Siberians
      CNO→Proto-Altaic/Neo-Siberians
Turks from Anatolia (the Turkish Republic) are not related to any of those people. A very small minority of people in Turkey carry genetic markers that are also found in Mongolia, Korean,Janpanese and elsewhere in Central Asia. This has to do with the fact that the Turkic invasion of Anatolia in the Middle Ages was mostly a cultural and religious one. Byzantines changed their language from Greek, Armenian or Assyrian to Turkic and their religion from Christianity to Islam.

    • @夜行者-s2x

The Turkic people are believed to have originated in today Manchuria (northeastern China). They were partially agriculturalists but adopted a nomadic life. Than they started their journey to the West. (The Turkic migration).
During and after the conquest of Central-Asia and some other places, they assimilated some of the locals (mostly Indo-Europeans/R1a).
All Neo-Siberians have origins in Northeast Asia including Korea(hg K2a/NO+C2). They split from common ancestors from Northeast Asians before migrating to absorb Paleo-Siberians K2b/Q+R1a
Most Siberian have the N haplogroup. The people of this haplogroup came from the territory of modern China,
Haplogroup NO split to haplogroup N and haplogroup O in south China . . Haplogroup N is dominant among East Siberians .. Its closest relative is haplogroup O which is the most common male haplogroup in East Asia and Southeast Asia
It’s the haplogroup N that gives Siberia Sakha the East Asian looks.
So it is not surprising some Yakut look Asian
‘East Asian DNA’ includes haplogroups CNO+DQ . These are the same haplogroups shared with Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Mongols, Tungusic etc.
The first Turks (around 500 ce) were a mix of NOC just like the Han. Many either integrated into Chinese society or moved further west into Central Asia and eventually the Middle East JGE and East Europe R1aR1bI,
Turkish males on average carry Haplogroup J2 as their main Y-DNA. This is the indigenous Haplogroup of the Middle East where it originated. Turks are closely related to the people of the Levant, Iranians, Caucasus people and Southern Europeans.
That's why most modern Turks don’t look like Asians
The ancient Turkic people are Mongoloid. They are from a region between northern China and Manchuria. The Xinglongwa culture is often regarded as the original homeland of the proto-Turks. Genetical, linguistical and cultural evidence strongly support a northern Mongoloid origin for Turks, close to the homeland of Mongolians and Tungusic peoples.
The Tatars are a Turkic people, belonging to the Kipchak branchs. Modern Tatars have mixed with Slavic groups (Russians) but also with Iranian groups. Thus most Tatars have N and R1a
The ancestors of the Hungarians were also a mixture of East Slavs/old european(Ydna R1a I2) and Ural-Altaic/Siberian(Ydna N-M231)
The N hg has appeared various times in Eurasian history:
      Xinglongwa culture> major Y-DNA: N
The ancient Finn-Uralians perhaps may represent the first wave of migrants from the east long ago (maybe 5-12kya).
The Finnish-Uralic are the result of the mixture of I (old populations of Europe) and N (Uralic)

To people who don't know about Chinese tributary system.
The Chinese tributary system was a symbolic Confucian world order, with its basis in trade and philosophical relations between foreign states and various Chinese dynasties. This wasn't ruling system. This was a way of establishing formal diplomatic relations between Various Chinese dynasties and East Asian countries in the old days. Every countries in East Asia had hierarchical relationship each other. Every countries in East Asia had senior-junior, king-servant, big brother-little brother, teacher-student relationship. Traditionally, East asian diplomatic system was hierarchical. And the relationship were nominal. It was just establishing diplomatic relationship.
East Asia's traditional diplomatic system should not be distorted as the Chinese rule.

    • @yyyymmddhhmm
      @yyyymmddhhmm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +47

Because China was the shit back in the days. Unlike what China has become right now, there was a sense of 'give and take' amongst the ancient, medieval Chinese empires. The reason why Koreans, especially from the Joseon era, were crazy about sending tribute (to Ming) was because the 'take' part was much more in quality and quantity than the 'give' part. This is why Koreans insisted on sending tribute four times a year when the Chinese initially had them do so once. Meanwhile, the Ryukuans and Japanese didn't get much incentives from Ming China in terms of trade. It would be a pardon to compare the tributary system to modern day China's expansionist, fuxxed up One Road policies that leaves every single state involved bankrupt.

@@yyyymmddhhmm Dunno what made the Ryukyu not emulate the Joseon Koreans, but the feudal Japanese just keep embroiling themselves into civil wars, nationwide and provincewide. Not even bustling cities would get some rest when samurai would brawl amidst marketplaces and that wokou pirates linger along pirate havens all over the Japanese shorelines. This was a low point in Chinese-Japanese trade histories when the Ashikaga shoguns cannot have the power to prevent trade losses due to feuding warrior elites.
Turns out that modern day Silk and Belt Roads are just one way trips into unreliable, unwanted disasters

@@yujiang6004 That would be pretty cool. The Influx of Chinese immigrants into the Korean states has long been a thing noted in historical texts. Beginning with Qin (秦) and Han (漢) refugees fleeing to Jinhan (辰韓), Northern Yan (北燕) refugees emigrating to Goguryeo during King Jangsu's conquests, and hundreds of thousands of Ming (明) elites and soldiers settling in Joseon Korea (朝鮮) of whom their Korean descendants make up a considerable portion up to the time. Meanwhile, Koreans from Goguryeo and Baekje, and especially Silla (who actually build the first Korea Towns known as Sillabang everywhere on the shorelines of Tang), settled in China too. It would be cool to see these events noted throughout.

My ancestors mainly come from Goguryeo and Silla, but I've also happened to find that some of my ancestors from the female line were Chinese emigreés from the Song and Ming Dynasty.
