+IfDurr You can pull it off Tom xD I was thinking of you actually when talking about the exhaust, you're one of the only people I know still with the stock exhaust on a WR :P
In my opinion if u have rev counter its good but people who really need it and they need to watch it all the time, they shouldn't be riding out there, just my opinion :) also great video, I have WR too :3
+SMoto Tontas || Supermoto Territory Yea man I agree, doesn't take long to be able to listen to the engine and know when it wasn't to change gear :) Thanks for watching mate
I dont need a rev counter, But for some reason, i can bearly hear anything if i have a helmet on. It's really weird. I hear fine otherwise, And my moped isnt silent, Just when i put on any type of helmet (Applies to when i snowboard as well) That has ear protection, I cant hear shit.
haha the only thing i dont like with my wr 125 is the power xD i tried to think of 10 things but honstly i cant think of more then the low power 😂 great videp m8
+RollingWithFlow Yea, it's great for a 125, but its still a 125... xD It was hard for me to come up with any too, which is why all my 'complaints' were so small and shit, thanks for watching man :)
actually, usd forks require more mainentance, are more dangerous if not maintained properly, cause worse problems if they are leaking and if lug loosens on stanchion, opposed to increased stiffnes becouse of larger tube diameter at the clamps, and that is in my opinion not really needed on 125 4stroke which is light and slow bike, and wont drastically affect performance
I agree with everything, Though for the original exhaust I just asked a guy paid him like 10€ and he desoldered all he could inside and then started finally having a good noise, it was beyond horrible sounding like a damn scooter stock. Also it pisses me off not having a analog RPM gauge, I even bought one, drilled the handlebar nut and then didnt counted well, I'm so pissed... And for last the engine doesn't last a single crap since it's only a 125cc 4 stroke i'm mostly on max rpm and now 40k something my engine almost runs on oil. I always wanted a 250cc but the WR 250 was like 6K+ € and had the old motorcycle style, nothing like this SM look grrrrrr. ps: Bike was crazy expensive for when I bought it back in 2009 for what it is, even lot of 125cc scooters are faster on the highway FFS 🤬 EDIT: The old DT 125 R modded for SM is a whole completely different beast, I was riding in a back with a friend going uphill and even 4th gear running trough the gears it feels like a horse jumping and goes to like 140KM/h+, it has crazy power, then again it's 2 stroke, his one unrestricted had more than 20HP...
+Jz Obey They actually came with the bike, they are so good, you will find them if you ebay "acerbis handguards", but if you just ebay "motorbike handguards" or something you will find loads of different ones that will probably be cheaper and just as good :)
My xv750 has twin horns and even thats too quiet. Not that i really need a horn as i have straight pipes and its loud enough to be heard coming. Alot louder than the pip squeek Horn.
Try doing your own valves. Need a special yamaha tappet tool. It seems like everything is engineered to break together as well like the needless amount of plastics and metal behind the lights holding the instrument cluster. You break one part and you have to replace 3.
what is the best 125 supermoto that is reliable but also a bit of fun ? i don't mean which one you personally think is the best but which one is the best ?
Yamaha dt125 is defintly the most reliable fun you can have. You can even put a athena 170cc kit on it and drive it hard as hell and it wouldnt brake! Aldo they are fairly quick stock and insane fun with an athena kit!

almost any 2 stroke. Husqvarna sm 125, yamaha dt 125 re, aprilia rx/sx/mx, ktm exc 125,
Because in Europe or some shit I think the number plate has to stick out further than the back wheel by law or something so you get a diving board on the back of your bike
Try a ktm sixdays, this won't be your favourite 125 anymore. I'm not saying this is a bad bike, it's super good and well built(I have one) but there are always better ones if you have the money
Do you have to change you oil every day I’ve been told that you have to change break fluid and the rest ? But I have no idea I’ll be getting a bike in the next month or two
Most bikes are 4 stroke, which only needs oil level to be checked weekly or so. Just in case the engine is using oil. Some do use oil, some don't. Checking oil level will mean you don't use the engine without oil, which would destroy the engine. Have a look at the manual. 4 strokes typically change the oil only somewhere between 6 months to 2 years, or 5,000 to 20,000 miles, depending on usage and conditions and the actual vehicle manual. So read the manual. I will guess for a 125 4 stroke it's 6,000 miles or every year for changing the oil. 2 strokes actually use oil mixed with the fuel. So they do need oil every day. But usually you just pour the oil into a separate bottle near the fuel tank or under the seat. The bike will usually mix the oil by itself. You just need to make sure there's some oil in there. Typically 2 strokes need a 1 to 30, or 1 to 50, oil to fuel mixture ratio. This will be in the manual. 2 strokes are a lot of fun because they make way more power for the same engine size, and the faster the engine turns the faster the increase in power. It's like having a huge turbo but without any lag. When I had 2 strokes I would just check the 2 stroke oil when putting in fuel. 4 strokes is usually a glass you can see through or a simple plastic screw dipstick.
Cant stand the snorting sound... Would be awsome if we could get a new video without the snorting sound so that i would be able to watch the whole video...
Yea the stock sound sucks. there are 3 WR drivers at my school, all have ever thing stock, except one has has a Stay Grenzig sticker, which isnt a good thing and also kills the price when he sells it Btw the WR is with the slowest 15HP 125ccm because all of its unnecessary weight. The Husq SMS125 is faster f.e
Yes i know that about 4000 € or £ it's too much, but come on, all 125 4stroke cost about 4000, and this bike isn't slow, it's s four stroke and in the group of 125cc it's very fast, probably only the ktm duke can beat her, if you would go faster you must buy a 2stroke. But i agree with you in other things like the uncomfortable seat for passenger. In conclusion i really love my bike and other yamaha wr125x i think that a lot of people don't fully appreciate her. I hope you answer me. +JustOutRiding
Yea dude I agree completely, I really love the WR and wouldn't have any other 125, no question, the price is pretty standard with other 125s of its class I guess, still pretty high but buying second hand fixes that haha :D cheers for your comment man cool to hear your opinion :)
JustOutRiding If I had the 4grand to splash out I would definitely get a WR.. But I guess that's good I'm too cheap to spend that much on a 125 just yet haha I'd be looking at up to 9 points in no time for constantly pulling wheelies everywhere :P Wheelies on a ybr on the otherhand are a bitch

Beta, honda, Yamaha....., i like so much this Yamaha wr125x
This isn't the best 125, the ktm exc converted to supermoto is the best. It drinks fuel like a car, but it's 0-100km in 7 seconds and its top speed of 150 km/h is the best, except the price 7,700 euros + 1,600 euros for supermoto conversion.
+Leonardo Zichy Speed isn't always what makes a bike, i use this bike in all weathers (and i mean all weathers) doing 200+ miles a week minimum, have little maintenance, and the bike hasn't missed a beat :) The KTM exc has it's perks, but for what i need, it is not the best 125 for sure :)
hahahah xD yea I do sound pretty fucking stupid, and that was a pretty decent insult I will give you that xD but I was looking at getting the EXC125 but it's not good for doing 200 miles a week in all weathers like I need, which is why the WR is the best 125 for me atleast
+NORAWY 〈3 I would love to ride the Exc 125, but its not technically legal, which isn't really a big issue, but the main problem is that I do about 250 miles a week in all weathers and a 2 stroke is just not reliable enough for it :) So for me the WR is the best 125 by far :D
Some places where i park a lot I have a chain round a lamp post or something so i can lock it up, other wise i cable tie a disc lock holder to my bike so i always have at least a disc lock, but sometime you just have to take a big lock in a bag on your back :)
You're so lucky man. If you get it i hope that will have much fun with it. Next year i'll be 16 and i'm looking to get one wrx but they are all 2000+€ here in Italy. :(
+JustOutRiding you should try take the rev limiter off makes a hell of a difernce when ur proper booming it. I had a 4 stroke 125 too mine had no rev limiter and it was quicker at accelerating but it wasent as fast as the wr at top speed!! But yeh the wr is a awsome bike i had a yamaha ttr converted so it could be road legal :)
+Luke Merryweather I actually edited out a bunch of sniffing, don't know what was wrong with me xD I had just rode 50 miles on the motorway which probably didn't help though
This was a very off the cuff video when i made it, just pulled over and filmed it, and my microphone was in my helmet. If i did it again I would probably do it with a handheld camera though :)
I don't know if this has occured to you, but exhausts are noisy behind, not in front. So all you are doing when putting on a louder exhaust is annoying people after you have passed them.
haha yea it sounds pretty stupid, but what I meant was, if you had to ride a 125 for the rest of your life you would get annoyed that it was a 125, even though it's a good bike :P hard to explain
i dont mean the form, i mean the material of the plastics... compared with yamaha dt125r plastics the wr plastics are shit... the design is rlly good, but the material is shit :D
Ah i see, I haven't really compared them to be honest but I know what you mean, they managed to survive quite a few drops and crashes though so I cant complain to much :P haha
Point 1 ;- Just re do the film again with your notes ! Point 2 :- I thought 125 cc were for starters and /or new riders learning DAS etc so you don't want to go fast (50 mph max). If you want to go 70 mph+ then pass your required test and get a bike with a bigger engine !
+No Name Ahaha, I had just done about 30 miles on a motorway and it was pretty cold with no tissues.... I am very sorry, i even editted most of them out xD

You're so lucky man. If you get it i hope that will have much fun with it. Next year i'll be 16 and i'm looking to get one wrx but they are all 2000+€ here in Italy. :(
the bike as a rev limiter doesnt it ?! :/
+amazing3Dbullet yea man, but it doesn't really affect me much
+JustOutRiding you should try take the rev limiter off makes a hell of a difernce when ur proper booming it. I had a 4 stroke 125 too mine had no rev limiter and it was quicker at accelerating but it wasent as fast as the wr at top speed!! But yeh the wr is a awsome bike i had a yamaha ttr converted so it could be road legal :)
Ok sweet i will have to look into doing that :D Anything for a bit extra power is always good ;) ahah
got the same levers they are sick! and cheap!
yea man, was a good buy :)
Do you wish you took a tissue? Lol
+Luke Merryweather I actually edited out a bunch of sniffing, don't know what was wrong with me xD I had just rode 50 miles on the motorway which probably didn't help though
hallo from germany
the wr125x is my first motorbike - I am 58 - hate the uncomfy seat and think about the to quiet exhaust ...
You still got it? Buy a delkavic exhaust of eBay cheap n good 👍
Would have been a good idea to take your helmet off before talking/cursing lol..
#6 you hate the 125 because it's a 125? lol
haha yea it sounds pretty stupid, but what I meant was, if you had to ride a 125 for the rest of your life you would get annoyed that it was a 125, even though it's a good bike :P hard to explain
Before i whatch anymore your naming things u had to change not hate lomfao
it's a 125 and that's bad? get a bigger bike then
+sam wood I wish it was that easy mate, in the UK you have to be 19 to get more than a 125cc.... If i could get a bigger bike now I would have one :P
JustOutRiding didn't know how old you were OK lol
what a mic....
+English .Muffin It is far to close to my nose.... xD
And it ways 10 tons
Ways
slow? get 182 cc like me
u forgot the fckin plastics ._.
+Tomah4wk I like the plastics :P
i dont mean the form, i mean the material of the plastics... compared with yamaha dt125r plastics the wr plastics are shit... the design is rlly good, but the material is shit :D
Ah i see, I haven't really compared them to be honest but I know what you mean, they managed to survive quite a few drops and crashes though so I cant complain to much :P haha
Dtr 125 is better
if dont like . dont buy it lol.. cmom
You have to wait until 18 to do A2 (47bhp limit). At 16, you can only have 125cc.
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
when are u gonna learn to count? :)
Please clean your nose :P
+No Name Ahaha, I had just done about 30 miles on a motorway and it was pretty cold with no tissues.... I am very sorry, i even editted most of them out xD
this video is such a bullshit YAMAHA WR 125X is the best motobike (superbike) on the world soo.... this guy has no idea what is he talking about
Supermotos are my favourite type of superbike
