I love this bike. I would get one myself but, the problem is it's over the watt limit to be classified as an e-bike in almost all states so it's an Electric Motorcycle. In PA it's simple if your bike is less than 100 pounds, 750 watts, and 20MPH. You're an E-Bike. Otherwise it's a motorcycle.
What’s awesome about Arizona is how many motorized trails we have to ride on. Just around Prescott there is probably 500 miles of trails to ride and experience. Maybe more.
"I feel like it just opens up more opportunities to RIDE A BIKE." Because you're actually Happy and Satisfied about RIDING just A BIKE of your choosing, it's seen as a true threat to their " Financial Credibility" giving what you can achieve with it.
In my opinion they're just an electric motorcycle, no pedals no changeable gears and all, they just work like a motorcycle not at all like a bike. They're unnecessarily hated because the super high torque makes people want to have fun with them (reckless driving) and them being more in line with a bike in the eyes of the law makes it so anybody can buy one, so, more reckless teens. I think the surron and other light electric motorcycles like these are amazing
As a mountain biker, I have absolutely nothing against surrons, in fact, I would like to have one but there are so many surron kids that destroy local mtb jumps with their surron so that's why mtbers try to put surrons with dirt bike because of the weight.
I'd love to have one of these but with a sidecar, practicality and it gives it a bit of a different look too! its such a cool little bike! Not sure if itd be legal to drive on the roads in my state but if it is for sure, I'd daily drive
I don't see why it matter what it is, if you can take it on the trail without getting stuck and be annoying, do what ever the fuck you want with it. Ride it on the trail, ride it on the road (if legal, or not, that's on you), ride it on bike paths; if you aren't a dick about it like a lot of Surron owners are, then it's all your game!
Usually at least the last time I looked into it, the federal government says that if it's more than 24 volts and 250 watts, it's a motorcycle whether it has pedals on it or not.
I mean the simple way i was told to stay out of trouble is noise and speed are what make the diffedence between being legal and needing to have a liscence and registration to ride it. Every state's MPH limit for needing to get a liscence is different thought.
Stunting on roads and ripping through public areas angers most people. MTB guys don't like it when you tear up hand built/maintained trails on an electric dirtbike; or when you ride considerably faster than everyone else causing new traffic hazards on the trail. That's why MTBs don't ride on MX tracks or single track trails with dirtbikes.
That’s how it people treat high end bicycles… People tell me all day long I should have gotten a motorcycle I don’t want to register, Insurance, cops, court, tickets, oil changes…should I continue?? I can… But I love the bicycle aspect I can peddle and go faster especially going down hills e-bikes are monsters!!!
I think you said it right. As long as I can ride, I'm happy. it's been raining so much in LA. I can't wait to have a clear and sunny weekend so I can take out my mx4.
People goofy af lmao, the surron light bee s/x is considered a e-bike like a super73 and is allowed just like a normal electric mountain bike but its different if you’re going to like a storm bee or stark which is made to be a dirt bike
The most fun you can have is on a small bike you can whip around easy and pick up and throw in your back seat. Nothing like going 70 on something that small. the only hate I will add is make sure you go when the light turns green 😂
I just love that the light was still red when they started honking
You're 100% without a doubt factual, me coming from mountain biking and me also wanting one of them...... I feel like they do not belong anywhere near "mountain bike, hiking, and horsebacking only areas"
As an American you have the right to be as ignorant as you want to anyone
“A ton of torque” - this is why mountain bikers dislike these. They rip up the trails and then say “uhhh it’s a bike not a motorcycle 🤪”
just fix the trail before u ride

@@stari313 It's surron riders who should be fixing the trails AFTER they ride. That's how I feel, I'm out riding everyday so people can say whatever the hell they want.
in Norway it has to be registered to take it on the road as it's categorized as a motorised vehicle. And it can only be registered as a Moped... so can't go top speed legally. Except for on a motocross track/enduro track.
Im in Miami Florida and here you have to share the road with bikers lol it's not very safe I'll tell ya that for either person sadly 😅 alot of accidents constantly
also in germany. you need a plate, insurance, mirrors, indicators, and they are throttled down to 45KMH max speed.
Was going to say I thought the speed had to be limited to count as a moped?
@@DarthTinderalla-qm9zw The surron is limited to 45 km/h in norway when it's registered as moped.
And now you can get it registered as an A1 motorcycle as well. You could not get it as A1 bike before.
It was either original and not street legal, or moped street legal

It’s a class 2 motorized bicycle. Same thing as a 50cc and below scooter, legal to ride on the street and in the bike lane with only a drivers license. No plate, insurance, or registration required.
different places have slightly different definitions but in most places this is NOT a class 2 e-bike (which must be under 750 watts and have a top speed of no more than 20mph usually) if thats what youre thinking of. sometimes these types of bikes are referred to as "class-4"
@@Abstract_zx ah, well either way, scooter under 50cc applies
as a mountain biker I can say I don't hate it or call it a motorcycle, but if one were to be ridden on a non-motorized trail it would be pretty annoying. I would really like to try one sometime and I also think they should also be street legal.
i wish we could easily buy one of those here in Brazil, maybe in a near future

The reason us mountain bikers don't like it, is because we spend a lot of our own personal time and money, maintaining trails and building features, and sirons are like dirt bikes in the fact that they destroy The features because the back tire tends to slip a lot just in normal riding on dirt
I don’t hate electric motorcycles. I hate the a-holes that think they can ride them on trials that don’t allow motorized vehicles
Who cares what u hate
@@TerranceBryant-fl8hn you obviously care since you felt the need tell me.
I find these type of bikes to heavy for trails and destroy ramps and berms for mtbikers. They suit dirt tracks where pit bikes go better.
I do a few recently in a national park where I live and the locals are getting angry as they’re destroying hiking trails and footpaths.
As someone who grew up ragging crossers up country lanes these are one of the best things to happen for urban riders and younger riders who are in areas with stricter regulations on having fun
Everyone finds a reason to harass me about my Surron! It’s amazing the psychological effect it has on boys and men. The ones that hate on it are always frustrated weirdo’s. It should come with the manual- how to deal with haters!
It’s an electric motorcycle and what you don’t seem to appreciate is that many of these end up on trails, especially when wet, and cause massive damage. You’ve likely never picked up a tool in your life.

Man my mountain bike cost as much as his surron, so if you can afford a good mountain bike you will afford this e dirtbike. Its not a mountain bike there is literally no argument about it because it has no pedals, no agility, and its heavier than a ebike but most importantly you can take it to a bike park.
@@droneon5575 it’s a grey area
It isn’t a class 1-3 ebike therefore it is a motorcycle. Just sucks that they aren’t powerful enough stock for a full scale motocross track and aren’t allowed on mountain bike trails
It's because o lot of surron riders ride it very recklessly and often double the legal speed limit for the cars.
I ride downhill mtb and mx. Those surrons are awesome. People just like to complain about anything these days.
Keep up the videos , they're great!!!
haha true - only on the internet, never in real life either. Thanks for the kind words
They're awesome until someone tears up your local trails on them.
Nothing wrong with the bikes, but some of the idiots that use them need to learn some respect for other trail users.
@@Kradlum everything tears up trails, not just ebikes. As a trail builder, even the hikers destroy lines and obstacles.

Bicycles have peddles...that here in New State would be an Electric Motorcycle.
In the uk, it's a moped (motorcycle). I wish these were classified as ebike, but it's over 250w and doesn't have pedals(stock)
in many US jurisdictions a moped must have pedals and ebikes can be up to 750 watts so these fall under the category of regular motorcycles and sometimes end up being unfortunately completely illegal on roads by technicality
I think it's cool, had all sorts of bikes throughout life... always wanted something like this
Its equivalent of a dirt bike. It is not meant to be ridden on mountain bike trails.
This would not be counted an E-Bike by DOT standards. The throttle and max speed alone make it pretty much a moped on a different frame.
Friggin love this channel man

Super cool bikes and it’s awesome that they’re getting people out of cars. The problem comes from either cars driving like a holes when they need to share the road, or people on these bikes riding like a holes on mixed use paths meant for slower traffic.
Dope Surron where u got that seat from ?
I cant complain about a well built ebike or what not, that thing looks solid
Its in between. And i love it. 😂❤
I don’t wanna say anything until I try one
Im a combustion engine lover but i also love surrons, they are really comfortable to ride and im short and it is small so i feel like it fits me perfect
LOVE my surron!!
As a long time dirt biker, and mountain biker. It definitely feels, acts and performs way more similar to a motorcycle than any e bike or mountain bike.
Bro really made an ebike his entire personality
I love this bike. I would get one myself but, the problem is it's over the watt limit to be classified as an e-bike in almost all states so it's an Electric Motorcycle.
In PA it's simple if your bike is less than 100 pounds, 750 watts, and 20MPH. You're an E-Bike. Otherwise it's a motorcycle.
What’s awesome about Arizona is how many motorized trails we have to ride on. Just around Prescott there is probably 500 miles of trails to ride and experience. Maybe more.
if u know the exact quality that u look for in a product, its actually really easy to be happy without over compensating
In what world is that not just a motorcycle, bike + motor = motorcycle
I want one so bad. Looks like a bunch of fun
"I feel like it just opens up more opportunities to RIDE A BIKE." Because you're actually Happy and Satisfied about RIDING just A BIKE of your choosing, it's seen as a true threat to their " Financial Credibility" giving what you can achieve with it.
I recently rode one. Totally badass. Fast and torquey. Unbelievable. The law will probably make laws against these and other ebikes soon.
First i thought it was a cycle😂
If it’s got wheels and a motor, it doesn’t matter what kind of motor, it’s fun
Usually at least the last time I looked into it, the federal government says that if it's more than 24 volts and 250 watts, it's a motorcycle whether it has pedals on it or not.
I ride a dirtbike I wouldn’t mind cruising on one of these seems pretty chill
If you consider this a bicycle you should look up the definition of one.. lol. People are clueless. It’s an electric motorcycle. No question about it
As an ebike rider, it should definitely be classified as an electronic motorcycle.
I'm a mountain biker and that is a motor bike. The damage these things do to my local trails is insane.
“As long as i can ride i’m happy” 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Wow, nice bike man, I keep seeing them. Think I will get one to blaze around on the Spanish trails
I mean the simple way i was told to stay out of trouble is noise and speed are what make the diffedence between being legal and needing to have a liscence and registration to ride it. Every state's MPH limit for needing to get a liscence is different thought.
This just makes me want one even more 😅
My only problem with is having tons of fun then waiting ages for it to charge, where as a 2 stroke it’s fill it up and go
I always wanted one.i had 78 Ford 250 lariat.i got tired of the hate.lost it.be safe.
That’s how it people treat high end bicycles…
People tell me all day long I should have gotten a motorcycle
I don’t want to register, Insurance, cops, court, tickets, oil changes…should I continue?? I can…
But I love the bicycle aspect
I can peddle and go faster especially going down hills e-bikes are monsters!!!
I'm a mountain biker and I'm so excited to try a surron they look like wayyy to much fun
The most fun you can have is on a small bike you can whip around easy and pick up and throw in your back seat. Nothing like going 70 on something that small. My mini bike was amazing as a kid with stage 3 mods on a predator 212cc. With a torque converter its crazy how cheap you can make them for the fun that can be had
