- permies.com Jacqueline Freeman from Friendly Haven Rise Farm in Battleground, Washington shows me a bird bath this is now a bee watering station.
In my podcasts I talk about visiting many farms. I have seen some horrible things done to bees. And I have seem some very nice things done with bees. And my experience with Jacqueline is the only time I have witnessed reverence for the bees.
This bee waterer is designed to make sure the bees don't fall into the water. If bees float on water, they have a hard time taking off. This waterer gives bees the ability to get all the water they want whild keeping their feet on something firm.
Jacqueline talks about how she uses just clean well water. Sometimes she will add a little seaweed to help the bees get some micronutrients.
In this video, Jacqueline gets one bee to drink off of her finger.
Jacqueline practices permaculture and biodynamic farming.

Can she have an instructional video on how to make a bee bath? I adore this! I don't cut my grass until the bees have left my clover and they would love this I think!!
What a pleasant lady, her voice is so soothing, I can listen to her talking about bees for an hour as relaxation.
She sure likes bees!
I bet this woman gives the world's best hugs.
I love how the bees don't even mind her, they just chillen, cause they know she's a friendly. If we just treated mother nature alone, they would treat us just the same.
Now that's a great way to make use of a bird bath. It's obvious she really loves her bees. Congrats on the 20K too.
twice now i have hair dryered bees after them almost drowning in buckets of water in the garden
they were pooped from trying to get out and sprawled out on my hand when i put in the water to get them out and dodnt seem to be drying so i turned the hairdryer on and put my hand with bumbly on at the edge of the warm air and they soon came round they loved it , shaking their bum in the air and turning to dry the other side it was brilliant --
You're a good somebody. Have a blessed day. 🐝🐝🐝
I have never seen anything like this before, watching this really lifted up my spirits!
I LOVE this bee watering station! Setting up a few in my front yard now!
What a great Idea.. Never seen a watering station for bees before but have noticed them having a drink from the aquaponics..
Thanks Mr Paul :)
Jacqueline has such a sweet voice.
Such spoiled bees!! I would love to know what all is in the bird bath! Wonderful!
they drank water off of her finger TELL ME THATS NOT CUTE
+Marianna Robbins That's not cute.
I love this watering station! I am going to make one today 💕
Thank you so much for this inspiring video! Mom and I love the way you tall to your bees. Then we went and made our own pollinator water fountain!
Great video. I never thought about bees drinking or their drinking needs. I have an old bird bath out back. May give this a shot for the bees. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Wish I could post a picture on here if my bee baths. Thank you for the great tips!!
Cool people doing cool things. Love it paul!
Wow thx you so much I’ve been herding bees in the desert for a few years
So sweet, I think I'll make one for my yard this spring so the 15 bees I saw last year can have a place to drink.
There, most probably is a little fairy village, working in unity with those Beeutiful Beeings, don't you think?
Very cool idea, I have just finished building my first two hives and I pick my bees up May 18th. I am so looking forward to them!!
Yes the video jump works. Great video.
Very cool I know what I'll be making for next year when we get our first bees
Can't wait for spring.... miss the garden and watching the chickens wonder around, the neighbors wife sunbathing topless. Just a couple more months and life will return
Looking forward to the release of her book, and the other 3 videos.
Thats fantastic im always worried about stepping on my bees when there all in the woodchips and mud drinking, they ignore the 6 pond edges i made probably because it lacked moss. I'm going to build one of these in a month or so, thanks paul.
The video jumps are lovely! I am so excited to see more videos coming out! Your videos teach me so much!!!
I have a watering station for bees and wasps and flies...when I started this about 3 years ago, the wasps stopped bothering us in our patio area..
That's cool. Great vid Paul!
This is great! I am going to set up something similar when the weather warms up!
I have never seen anything like this, so I shared it on facebook
Wow, I had never thought of doing this. I will use this idea. thanks
I learned something..thanks for sharing it.
Amazing! I need to build one of these.
tX FOR THE BEAUTIFUL MOMENT
This is my first time trying to add video jumps at the end. Has anyone tried it?
How would you control mosquitoes?
This is great, but would be a hot mess trying this in Florida.....that stuff would mold and get rank in a matter of hours ! But then again, they can drink the dew right of the grass leaves in the mornings 🐝
Too bad there is no mention on how to keep it clean.
There is such a thing as mosquito fish, that will eat the mosquito larvae. I'm sure if you rearrange things just a little, add a little more water, it would be perfect for them. I used them in my tiny pond.Check it out. ( :
What kind of moss can be used for this? Idk if all are safe, most, some, few??
I've already set up one. And have a few more coming up.
I'm checking with the kids in my neighborhood, see if they want to make one as well.
Love your video. I love bees!
How awesome!!
that's a great and good looking idea
Ahh yes... "nice clean well water"... same thought we had until testing showed pesticides from the 1950s contaminating it! :( My, my, what we've done to ourselves, huh?
Nice video, good message. Thanks!
OMG I love this woman!
Love this
I did! It worked nicely.
whats the maintenance for that?
Where do you get the moss
It worries me the fear people have of these amazing creatures.
THAT SOOOO COOL!
Ur my favorite channel on YTube
♥ Thanks a lot
how does she keep out mosquitoes?
My thoughts too.
That is so cool. I will bee doing this. Thanks for sharing. :o)
is there a list of best items to recreate this in our own yards?
"Bee stings her and dies"...lol
Curious how far away from the hive this is?
this Is Totally Divine xxxxx Thank You ::::::)))))))
can you use marbles? I heard that was a thing too.
yes it gives the little bees something to rest on and not fall in the water, this looks so beautiful :)
@@kimbobaloola7932 where does one find moss. I have everything else
Way cool!
Thank you! Have a ButterFly of Joy ~~> }i{
MMMMmmmmm, that was nice.
BEEUTIFUL
@quackerzdb I agree.
I have city water and refuse to drink it cause not only does it taste like death, it smells like death too! I ma very sensitive to water contaminates...i even doslike bathing in it, but have no choice...
The easyest is a bucket full of water with packing chips.
Now it just needs a fairy in there somewhere.
I need it
haha, you're probably right though
:-)
I've been gardening for years and have seen millions of bees come and go and I have yet to see a be drown in a puddle of water. We humans sure know how to mess up the natural world but then we also tend to think that we know how to better improve on nature.
She is a really beautiful sweet woman! :)
Bee druid
I'ma get my bitch bees. Bitches love bees.
