Omg yeessss look at the growth and thickness. You can TELL you've been consistent. This is literally some ppl's hair after 2 years. You are doing sooooooo awesome. 🔥🔥🔥 If you're looking for something else that adds moisture to your hair and softens it without it I would recommend hibiscus powder. I add it to my oil mixes and my hair stays soooo moisturized and is much softer. I use to use aloe vera leaves a lot but if I didn't prep it early enough it was a bit much to do and clean. Loving your consistency and updates. ❤️❤️
you're hair is really FLOURISHING!!! I just wanted to give one quick word of advice, after looking through comments on your past few hair update videos: When I first "went" natural, I was able to find a routine that I committed to and was determined and dedicated to reaching my goal. But the natural hair community kept throwing new ideas and new things at me, which of course I tried, and the constant changes and additions to my routine and schedule I think became obstacles in various ways and impeded my journey. I just want to encourage you that your hard work absolutely is showing through!! And, only in case you haven't already considered, once you find your thing, you don't always have to try your neighbor's too. I think if you haven't found a perfect (or even really really good) regimen for yourself, trying a lot of the comment suggestions can be really useful. But also sometimes we take the suggestions expecting to expedite or get certain results that aren't the most compatible for us or don't fit in quite right with our current one. Just wanted to mention, in case you hadn't already taken that into consideration, because I know how easy it is to take suggestions from veterans and want to follow suit, but sometimes the only thing our current regimen needs is more time :)
I found your channel at the perfect time, I have an almost identical story to yours. In the 4th grade before I relaxed my hair I had gotten box braids that ended up ruining my hairline to this day, I'm a freshmen in college now. I relaxed my hair from 4th to 7th grade when I did a big chop and made a transition back to natural. And girl I ALMOSTTT relaxed my leave out for 8th grade prom but I stayed strong (kinda wishing I did tho I was looking a mess chile). I watched countless of natural hair videos but I still had no idea what to with my hair, and I was permanently scarred after that 4th grade situation so rarely let anyone besides my mother or me touch my hair, I learned how to do wigs in 9th grade and hid behind those for all of highschool. Wigs helped my overall hair grow like CRAZY I didn't even notice until this year September I got a blowout for a wedding and my hair was at arm pit length (thats A LOT for me) and you know you got hair if everyone in the salon looking at you 😂. But unfortunately wigs did not have the same effect of my edges or hairline and they look about the same as they did in 4th grade. The women who was doing my hair even said to me I might as well be bald if I'm not gonna have any edges, and she wasn't trying to insult me she was being helpful and offered useful advice. But I decided I am TIRED of this "baldhead" shit and I wanna wear a pony tail lmaoo. So since then I've stopped wearing lace fronts and still wear wigs just closures now that I do not glue down. I see we did some similiar research bc I ordered me some virgin fertilizer, and have been debating using a micro needle, I will now bc I can do it with you and we can just both be mad if that shit don't work 😭. I also use Haitain castor oil, and kaleidoscope miracle drops extra strength (I heard its the shit) if you decide to get some miracle drops get it walmart or cvs bc its cheaper. I keep my hair in cornrows and even though overall growth isn't my target I had the same concerns as you that the product wasn't reaching all my scalp so I think I'll do box braids like you. I haven't seen any extreme results yet but on my left side (thats my trouble spot) I see some peach fuzz and really thin strands coming in, and its usually skin bald. I've been consistent tho and hopefully my hair start moving like yours soon 😫
WHY DO WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME STORY??????????????? I went through it all! I’m trying to let go of wigs but not with these edges. I’m thinking of doing braids next but idkkk. I used the kaleidoscope product yearsssss ago. I liked it but I didn’t see any major changes so I stopped, I might revisit it. That African lady was right, if you have edges you have nothing.. I can’t wait to reach armpit length😩 I wish you luck and I pray our edges grow back stronger than ever. Once I get to the year mark I’m going to the dermatologist and possibly look into shots 🥴
I am seeing a derm because my edges started to fall out too after using lace spray and glue .I’m not sure if I was allergic but the derm gave me a liquid shampoo and liquid steroid and I feel it’s starting to grow back in after about three weeks.I think you guys should both go to the derm as soon as possible even if you prefer a natural route because with hair loss addressing it medically the sooner the better so your follicles can recover .
You are killing it girlfran! Enjoy the journey because we’re enjoying watching. Aloe Vera completely changed my hair care. I use it as a prepoo as well but mostly a moisturizer especiallyyyyyy when I have braids. Nonetheless stick to what’s working for you because it’s WORKING! 🥳
She’s growing out beautifully . I see you made it past 3 inches to 4 and 5. 💓💓I need oil in my hair at almost every stage of my wash process.. Pre poo and I even add a tablespoon of JBCO to my deep conditioner and conditioner. I’m high porosity so I need the protein and have to balance it out but I’m 4C so I need the moisture. Adding oil to my conditioning treatments has been a game changer💓
@@tamithecreator Me too i don't know quite what to do with i wear an afo but mostly keep it braided up i make my own diy shampoo and conditioner and i love it very thing is completely natural and homemade i can see that my hair is gonna be just fine the shrinkage 😫 is the only thing that i hate
I was told my edges probably won’t grow back because it had bald spot I’m still going to work with it when I was relaxing they didn’t stand a chance been natural for almost 2yr challenging but glad I did it
It's definitely grown out very well! I see your edges getting thicker, in particular on the left. I'm going to email you the prepoo ingredients and recipe. I promise you, you'll get amazing results from it. You're using the main ingredients already: fenugreek and aloe vera. And it's ok to add some pizazz to the prepoo lmao! Just know what properties the extra ingredients have and what they'll do beforehand! You're doing good though. Keep up your routine and you'll see the reward soon. 😊😊😊
Thank you Ms. Tennille, I’m ready for the recipe and the head massager is being delivered today! I found it on Amazon for $16. You saved me so much money, I had no idea they had shampoo brush head massagers, I was over here looking at massagers for $50+!
I LOVE IT! I am doing the same thing. However, I did not chop my hair off. But I stoped going to the salon and using all natural products in my hair. I’ve been doing it since August. Today I took out a crochet style I had for 2 months and my hair has grown tremendously! While I had the crochet I continued to spray my hair with clove water and used my all natural homemade hair oil. I’m very pleased with my results. I will be putting my hair in five braids and leaving it alone for 4-5 months. I can’t wait to see the end results. I want a big, fluffy, full Afro! Thanks for your updates! 🤎
This just inspired me to stay on my natural hair journey. I was literally gona give up and relax my hair tomorrow because I feel like I’m not getting anywhere my hair is so dry and brittle and I never see anyone with hair like mine fr. This just gave me so much hope. THANK YOU!!!💚💚💚
Awww, KEEP GOING! My hair is easier to manage now vs when it was relaxed believe it or not. When relaxed, once the new growth grew in it was a mess so having one texture helps. Just keep your hair moisturized and it’ll save you a headache but you got this 💪💪💪
Thank you so much for your video. I actually came across your channel two days ago looking up clove videos. I love looking at natural hair videos for my daughter. @@tamithecreator Lol I am still learning too, it's a lot, there's a lot of rubbish you have to wade through on YT. If you do use aloe vera again, you need to soak it standing upright in water so that the latex, the yellow liquid at the base is removed as that can cause irritation.

Hair mate!!!!!! I also shaved my hair in march This video jxt motivate me with people around telling me ur aren't growing but with this I know Our hair is growing just fine🥰🥰🥰
Hello dear, Your results are remarkable and give so much hope to those of us who have been idle for so long as well. Keep up the good work it looks great.
Yess! I remember I watched your update you have on your channel! You’re doing so well & you’re very knowledgeable! 💕💕 we got this and I’m proud of our growth
Aloe is my favorite!!! I use it on my face and hair but before straining you should blend &it’ll give you a lot more juice. Also aloe itself is a cleanser/moisturizer, so you don’t have to shampoo every time, I just use a really good conditioner to get the scent out and rinse very well. You’ve encouraged me to grow my hair back out, thank you❤🙌🏾
Next time when using clove water add a little oil (oils like coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil) For your edges try garlic and Amala all infused with oils for low porosity (oils like sweet almond, coconut oil, olive oil and argan oil) and some essential oils like tea tree , peppermint essential oils. Do you have a scalp massager...use it on your edges....the edges need like a regular stimulation to get them going. We are happy for your progress. you are so pretty❤️💋❤️✨
Yesssss! I am following you step by step! And my 2 month growth is amazing. I do take my aloe vera leaf and rub it in, I haven’t even thought of putting it in a bottle. First time I’ve had a healthy scalp in a longggg time! Keep updating, very inspiring!!! ❤❤❤
Good job 👏🏾 get It’s a 10 leave in conditioner & spray when you use any form of water spray on your hair. That’s were it went wrong with the clove water spray & dried out your hair. I put, jojoba oil, avocado oil, castor oil & almond oil in my clove water spray, I then go back & spray It’s a 10 leave-in conditioner for moisture.
You really inspire me & give me a lot of hope me & you are in the same boat chiiilleee lol but it's about consistency & my hair is growing like crazy & I'm so happy I'm not putting not flat iron to my head until like 5 years because it's growing to long & pretty thank you so much for being true
Your hair looks great! My advice is to sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase. Cotton sucks moisture out of your hair. I noticed a huge difference in hair maintaining moisture when I switched to a silk pillowcase. I have low porosity hair like you. Also, have you looked into using Ayurvedic oils? I have been using amla oil and it’s really decreases my shedding on wash days.
Wow aloe vera is the real plug. I got a whole bush growing in my garden by the leaves are thin. Not sure il harvest much but I'mma try it as a prepoo! What hair blower are you using. It looks real handy my African hair salon uses it but they won't share the name 😂
My hair type/length and hair probloms are identical to yours. My edges were lost in the war and I have been slowly growing them back for a year now. They're still patchy but have come a long way. I spray water mixed with aloe on my edges everyday and I also use the Mielle Rosemary oil mixed with Amla and Indian hemp oil. It feels so nice to see the bald spots filling out. Also, get some "Mother's Milk" tea I hope this helps someone! 🙋🏾♀❤
Absolutely amazing. And your edges do look like they're getting better. I went to a salon last summer and the lady burnt off my edges 😭 I have never had problems with my edges in my life. They final started growing back in 6 months after she did that to me smh I think edges are the hardest part of your hair to grow back since they get rubbed on more than the other parts of your hair.
I’m glad yours are growing back 😩😭 I should have taken my growth seriously right after my incident happened then maybe my edges would have grown back sooner. I’m glad you’re seeing results after 6 months💪
First of all very good good. Keep up the good work. I understand how frustrating those edges could be. I got to the point of just washing my hair once a month to put less stress on my hair and I use my hair butter or shea butter on my hair especially those edges. For me less my hands are in my hair the better.
I'm starting wonder if women lose hair on their edges because of the pulling back motion. I'm just speculating but the edges and sides seems to be the the main areas of the head that are always redirected whether it be with ponytails or braids it could have something to do with the loss. Peppermint oil is also good for stimulating the hair follicles.
First time here. My suggestion: Increase your protein intake, massage your scalp at least twice or thrice weekly. And last and importantly stick to whatever works for you and don't overdo anything.
I just saw your comment on my other video! I appreciate you & thank you for the compliments! I thought about a transplant then I saw the price & changed my mind 🤣 if I ever get to the point where I can afford one then I would consider it. Thanks again
You’re doing great! Keep micro needling! Keep applying oils. Keep pre-pooing! Keep protecting your hair. If you have not already, invest in your diet. Healthy hair starts from within. 1.) Incorporate vitamins & more water intake 2.) Fenugreek is a great intake to add to your diet 3.) Shampoo regularly to keep a clean scalp (yes even with applying oils…don’t over do it!) 3.) Check the comedogenic rating of products you place on your scalp to be sure you’re not clogging your pores. Coconut Oil is great for the hair but unfortunately not for the scalp. It has a rating of 4. 5.) invest in satin or silk bonnets. 6.) Eat clean and healthy!
Adding in: Look up Curly Chemist on TH-cam she is a Cosmetic Chemist as well as Afope Atoyobi she is a Trichologist (Hair and scalp scientist). I myself am a licensed cosmetologist as well as taking up courses for trichology to get my certification. Good luck!
I screen shot your comment! You are awesome! I’ll check her out & I’ve been doing most of the things on your list but you taught me a few things as well ! Appreciate you & good luck on getting that certification!
Idk if you tried this but try using a tooth brush apply your products and brush your edges only the parts that need stimulation or the sore spots as I call them I do this every other day to help promote blood flow also take iron supplements and b12 hope this helps you
I mix my fenugreek with green tea I mix together fenugreek and rosemary use it as a spray I mix together star anise cloves chia seeds flax seeds and fenugreek let it sit for a week in water and aloe juice put it in a blender and then strain it I love it I made onion and garlic oil I mix amla neem and brahmi in my favorite oil let it sit for a week I made cayenne pepper oil for hair growth I do my hair grease mix like you do it I mix a different batch too diy is so fun
Omg yes! I just made a DIY oil with similar ingredients to yours, it’s didn’t go well 😭 the smell was too strong but I’m loving the learning process 💪💪💪
Please use oils only for your hair, our hair is sensitive and locks in moisture when you use oils and plait it nightly. Those heavy grease clog pores on your scalp, I learned this years ago which stoped my hair from growing a long time. I now have been using oils only and my hair is bra length
You’re not going anything wrong whatsoever, the first 2 months of journey I cried looking in the mirror thinking I made a mistake. If you have a pic of your hair from august look at it and compare it to your hair now, I guarantee you there’s growth. Even if that growth is a millimeter it’s GROWTH! Keep going sis 💪💪
Yesss! Im subbed to you so I watch your videos all the time! I’ll check out the shorts! The bottle is a root applicator bottle it’s used for hair dye but I use it for my oils. 💕💕
It’s a rough patch, take care of them and they’ll grow. I’m not where I want to be either but a year from now you’ll be thankful you went through the journey. You got this
Always get your afro shaped up my grandma would get her afro shaped even every month when she took us to get a hair cut and it would always grow bigger and bigger entill she told them cut more off cuz she didn't want a big afro

Next time when using clove water add a little oil (oils like coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil)
For your edges try garlic and Amala all infused with oils for low porosity (oils like sweet almond, coconut oil, olive oil and argan oil) and some essential oils like tea tree , peppermint essential oils.
You know what, you taught me something new as well, I’ll take the leaf and rub it into my scalp. I’ll see if I notice a difference
And thank you!!
Blend the aloe then strain with a wig cap. You get more gel that way.
This gives me hope . I’m on a similar journey I wish I had your courage to share . But unfortunately I’m not there . Thank you so much for your vids.
You’ll get there♥️ I’m praying healthy growth upon you💕 you got this!
@@tamithecreator thank you 🙏🏾
Absolutely beautiful. Looking good my beautiful sister. You and your family have a very blessed New Year also, y'all stay blessed and healthy ✝️🙏🛐
My 3rd time watching a video about your hair journey ❤ and I'm a new subbie.....definitely cutting my hair soon
Maybe I threw my cloves away too early 😭 ill try again while focusing on moisture this time. I screenshot your comment! Thank you!
Your welcome 🙏🏽
Your hair is looking good!!👏🏾👏🏾 Keep it up!
You really inspire me & give me a lot of hope me & you are in the same boat chiiilleee lol but it's about consistency & my hair is growing like crazy & I'm so happy I'm not putting not flat iron to my head until like 5 years because it's growing to long & pretty thank you so much for being true
In so happy you journey is going well. Like you said we’re in the same boat and you inspire me just like I inspire you. 💕💕
Wow your hair is flourishing! I love it!
Saw palmetto is good for the hair follicles. It might give your edges a little boost.
Your hair is looking so healthy 🥰. I lovee it
Weldon sis 💪🏼 you’re doing well 🙌🏼
Like omg! You hair has grown so much what!
❤❤❤❤ I love this!!! Progress baby!!!!
💪💪thank you!
Congratulations I definitely see the progress
Your doing great with your hair journey I Love this.. keep using the aloe Vera oil it’s going to strengthen your hair.😍😍💕💕
Much love to you Tami, your hair is beautiful!
@@tamithecreator thank you 🙂
First of all very good good. Keep up the good work. I understand how frustrating those edges could be. I got to the point of just washing my hair once a month to put less stress on my hair and I use my hair butter or shea butter on my hair especially those edges. For me less my hands are in my hair the better.
I’m learning this the hard way, less I’d definitely more. Good luck to you in your growth
Your eyebrows on fleek 🔥
I'm starting wonder if women lose hair on their edges because of the pulling back motion. I'm just speculating but the edges and sides seems to be the the main areas of the head that are always redirected whether it be with ponytails or braids it could have something to do with the loss. Peppermint oil is also good for stimulating the hair follicles.
Yesss! I c'ya right side hairline growth also...
First time here. My suggestion: Increase your protein intake, massage your scalp at least twice or thrice weekly. And last and importantly stick to whatever works for you and don't overdo anything.
I like your personality. You are not annoying like most youtubers, at all! Have you considered a hair transplant in the areas with alopecia?
I just saw your comment on my other video! I appreciate you & thank you for the compliments! I thought about a transplant then I saw the price & changed my mind 🤣 if I ever get to the point where I can afford one then I would consider it. Thanks again
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I look forward to more updates 😊..God bless
Everything's working it's going to grow back in
Your hair looks healthy sis!!
You’re doing great! Keep micro needling! Keep applying oils. Keep pre-pooing! Keep protecting your hair.
If you have not already, invest in your diet. Healthy hair starts from within.
1.) Incorporate vitamins & more water intake
2.) Fenugreek is a great intake to add to your diet
3.) Shampoo regularly to keep a clean scalp (yes even with applying oils…don’t over do it!)
3.) Check the comedogenic rating of products you place on your scalp to be sure you’re not clogging your pores.
Idk if you tried this but try using a tooth brush apply your products and brush your edges only the parts that need stimulation or the sore spots as I call them I do this every other day to help promote blood flow also take iron supplements and b12 hope this helps you
Love your hair 😘😘😘
Can you use clove , ginger, coffee, rosemary, and red onion to make hair oil
I can see the progress keep up ther great work. Have you ever used black seed oil? I use that with clove water to help your hair.
I haven’t tried black seed oil but I’ll look into it. I was going to try grapeseed but I’ll do my research on both, Thank you.
@@tamithecreator you're welcome.
You can try the canvas oil its great
Sis try the coffee on the edges I've been using every day and seeing growth
Your hair looks great
Tell us more about the Clove water. I just started and I don’t wanna loose any hair.
INSTEAD of aloe try tuna plant, cactus plant, you can find them in Mexican stores. used by people from the carribean, more potent
Please use oils only for your hair, our hair is sensitive and locks in moisture when you use oils and plait it nightly. Those heavy grease clog pores on your scalp, I learned this years ago which stoped my hair from growing a long time. I now have been using oils only and my hair is bra length
Wow I’m so impressed!!! I cut mine in august and it’s still quite short. Not sure what im doing wrong 😢
Love that bottle with comb at the end. What is it called? My hair is growing out too now but it’s not as full as yours. I Just shared a shorts video 😊
Yesss! Im subbed to you so I watch your videos all the time! I’ll check out the shorts! The bottle is a root applicator bottle it’s used for hair dye but I use it for my oils. 💕💕
You are an inspiration ❤
🥹🥹thank you so much
Where do you buy the comb with the bottle, I need to buy it, am in south Africa johannesburg and how much?
Hey! I got it on Amazon, it’s very cheap. I’m not sure where it will be in Africa but I hope you find it
What’s wrong with cloves??
I cut my hair off really short in August and my edges the same way and it is depressing.
It’s a rough patch, take care of them and they’ll grow. I’m not where I want to be either but a year from now you’ll be thankful you went through the journey. You got this
Great job!
Good job keep going!
Well done 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Onion juice is really good for bald spots.
Gurl u r motivating
Best compliment ever, thank you!
Great video 📹 👍 do you take vitamins and supplements
Thank you! I took biotin for a week then stopped as soon as I saw one pimple 😩 do you recommend any??
Have you tried prenatal vitamins?
Always get your afro shaped up my grandma would get her afro shaped even every month when she took us to get a hair cut and it would always grow bigger and bigger entill she told them cut more off cuz she didn't want a big afro
Bra strap length tops tell me about it 😂I will make mine too as I need one like yours cos they don't make them for people with hair like mine 😂
