- Hi everyone. just a short video/review/maybe buy it on this lovely 2017 Coachman Pastiche 545 VIP. I had a call from our friends at Sussex Caravan And Motorhome Centre about this lovely example and well let's look at it all together and please leave all your comments down below.

Do it Paul, you’ll not regret it. Manual movers are the best so no worries there. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure the tyres have life left on them (2017 van are potentially made in 2016. Tyres should be changed after 5 years). Could be a good bargaining tool. Good luck 😉

We have manual movers, no problem at all and less to go wrong. Looks a lovely caravan, same layout as our 650 and you'll have no trouble with the size of the bed, I'm a few inches taller than you and it's good for me. Good luck!
Hi Graham thanks for commenting. The bed is perfect I think I had a sneaky lay on it and it's perfect mind you for some reason and I can't work it out I always end up with my legs hanging off the end of the bed 🤔. 650 is a lovely Van. Thanks again for commenting Graham.

Hi Paul, nice van. No problem with the manual mover, I've always had them on our vans I can't see the point of auto as you only use them possibly 4 times per holiday. we've got a new van on order with twin axle movers and manual.

It looks like a lovely van, I’m sure it will be thoroughly cleaned if you bought it, we bought our van from them.
Paul I meant to add my opinion of the manual engage or self engaged movers. My first van was single axel with manual engage and found it worked every time. I changed my van to a twin axel 3 years ago and had quad self engaging motors fitted and have had several issues with it at times where they won’t all engage at the same time or the electrically drop out of sync to the point where I’ve had to manually wind them off. So if I change my caravan whether it be e twin axel or single axel I think I’ll be going for manual engage. Cheers mate.

The caravan looks really nice
We were parked behind a coachman like this one a few days ago on a club site in Devon ( also had Sussex logo) the only thing that let it down was the Graphics !.
Hi Ronald. Yes some of the graphics are a bit out there 😆 you really do need to love the inside of the caravan to except the outside I think 😆

Hi Paul & Sarah yes it’s a lovely van we have a manual mover on our van and it’s brilliant as I’m not the best at reversing the caravan but you however are probably very good being a lorry driver , but the movers do come in handy I even use mine when hitching up . I will be watching with interest to see what decision you both decide 👍😀

Hi Paul that's tge layout we have on a 2017 van and it works 100% even if we have guests.its manual movers on ours and apart from me not making sure they were engaged properly,one to watch,never had any problems.hope Sarah likes it and you get a good deal.love the colours and graphics(rangers supporter lol).atb

Shame it wasn’t cleaned outside before being put on display. Seen a lot of dirty caravans inside & out on display just recently at dealers near me. By the way those green cushions look great against the purple seating. 🤣
🤣👍 lovely colours. In fairness to the dealership the caravan was bought in that day and I k ew it was dirty on the outside I was warned. But the overall look of the van was pretty much OK. Thanks for commenting and watching the channel 😀 Paul and Sarah
As Neil Mackie commented, hopefully the caravan has a thetford toilet and not a dometic version. We had a 2018 575 VIP and had problems with that toilet. Our friend is replacing his dometic for a thetford. Numerous poor comments on various platforms regarding the dometic toilet. I think the VIP is slightly wider than the Pastiche?? Great caravans otherwise. Good luck.

Interesting vlog - I think that was a close call! - personally, I don't think you should replace your old caravan with a similar one if nothing's wrong with it - you'll lose out financially - also 'better the devil you know' - ie after living in the new one you may find problems with it.
The manual mover is great - just need to remember if parking close to a kerb, you won't get the leverage, but there's another point on the other side you can use instead - well, there is on our Pwrtouch - laters.

Only down side (for me) is the brand of toilet on that year model. There seem to be a lot of negative comments about them. Coachman have returned to Thetford toilets in later years. (our 2016 year 575VIP has a Thetford toilet). Otherwise it looks like a lovely van. Nice colours.
