For people asking about deer tour 2020. THP has a great podcast that Zach runs. If you haven’t listened to it, I highly suggest it. They have tons of great guests from all over with every kind of background and every kind of hunt you can think of. The newest one is Greg’s hunt in Nebraska and that starts the deer tour. They said it should be coming out on Friday. Don’t listen to the podcast if you don’t want a spoiler lol.
Watched two pronghorn hunts in the past two days. 1 was a extremely famous guy sitting in a box at a watering hole for hours, the other was yall GRINDING. The latter was MUCH more enjoyable and envy inducing.
I've heard Lampers say be patient and eventually the animal puts itself in a bad spot. This video is an example of that. Great job! Love the stalking clips.
Agree, even if you carry a lot of water in your backpack, most of it will be consumed (in your body) throughout the day so the weight isn't a big deal overall. I know those SD hunts end up way farther than expected though, so no ones fault!
Bowhunting antelope has to be one of the toughest hunts there is man!!! Phenomenal eyesight and obviously fast as heck. What gorgeous country, man I wanna do this one day!!!
Heat exhaustion can lead to heat stroke. Very serious condition. You may want to adopt the LBE, Load Bearing Equipment, used by the military. Web belt and shoulder straps you can put accessory pouches on and balance TWO canteens. If you have to drop your pack, you still have your knife, water, and other essentials attached to your LBE. You can find them at military surplus stores, flee markets, etc. Congrats on the harvest. Can't believe they stood there and let you draw. He was moving before the arrow arrived, but you still drilled him.
Guys I love what you do. Not to mention as a rancher, thanks for crossing the fence at the braces. Helps a lot to keep wires intact and not stretched out and eventually on the ground. Great vidio
“Soon as you stop , then you die.” 😂 that may be the quote of the year. But seriously, I’ve been to that point of heat exhaustion doing some roofing work. It took me a week to get right again. I literally felt y’alls pain while I was watching. P.s. Gooch came in CLUTCH with the footage , despite the elements. He may be a keeper boys !
I love how these guys go from totally defeated to stalking into bow range of 11 speed goats. As real as it gets. Shows you why you should always push on.
That was a pronghorn well deserved. I'm sure you will get tons of comments about the water shortage etc but I'm glad to see you guys get back ok without no issues. Keep after them goofy things and as always be safe and stay healthy my friend.
Great Job Zach. I also live in SD and have been hunting pronghorns with a bow for several years. To take one spot and stalk is a huge accomplishment. Congrats.
Fantastic work boys! You guys are an amazing team, keep bringing the awesome videos. Super pumped wisconsin bow season starts this weekend, and watching this really gets the juices flowing! Love it!
Taking badass to another level....no, not surprised. A little envious I can't be along with you. But as always, sincere thank you for taking us along. Never lose the passion for the hunt!
Leaving tomorrow to attempt what I just watched you do. It is so cool the way you stuck to it and made it happen. Very inspirational for me. Well done!
Congrats Zach, that one was well deserved! It takes perseverance and determination to arrow a pronghorn in that kind of terrain, definitely not an easy task
Love the videos , keep them coming , these short ones are great when I'm in a hurry , like a quick pik me up. You young guys are like coffee for the soul ! Now go get a couple more !
Congrats on a great stalk and beautiful animal. Way to push on in the face of adversity! Watch the dehydration factor, it got me this summer and took a while to get over it completely. Pickle juice comes in handy for the muscle cramps that follow, it works better than anything else I've ever tried. A couple big gulps or as much as you can drink, will do wonders. Stay safe guys, Cubby
My son works for scheels got his first bull elk last yr , he leaves for Colorado Wed and they are getting a foot of snow where he's going , grandpa is excited for him !
Congratulations!!👍👍👍 You guys have got to carry water and a pinch of salt! Keep some vinegar in the truck or a jar of pickles. If you get leg cramps later or they wake you up in your sleep take a slug of one of them and it will ease the pain of the cramp.
Awesome stalk boys! Heat stroke is no joke...grew up in AZ and had a few as a kid. Gooch, you gotta ditch that hat until winter! Can't wait to see what's next!
Good job, on the stalk and shot. I hope you got that meat cooled down ASAP. Antelope is the best game I've had, but you gotta get it cooled off double quick! Be careful out there, guys. Congrats on the heater at 23:22.
I know the feeling. I helped pack out my buddies elk. When I got back to truck I drank way to much water and Gatorade. I thought I was going to start vomiting.all worth it. Good job guy's
I’ve got a great appreciation for the efforts of the stalks One of the funnest and difficult hunts can’t wait for my Colorado October rifle pronghorn hunt
Who's a Guy got to blow to get a hunt with you guys yall are inspiring and have got me scouting more an more for big public land bucks. Keep up the hard work and congrats on your first antelope
A video on hunting hydration would seem fitting; you boys came close to the edge, and while it's funny to talk about it in hindsight, it wouldn't be funny to replay a tragedy for a lifetime. Be safe out there boys...and good shot at the end.
Agreed, once you get to a certain point you are in deep trouble and it’s hard to come back without medical help. Note: I’m in AZ and have had a close call and learned from it. Every year we have several hikers die here in the Phoenix area. They think they can tuff it out, some are in excellent shape but the heat doesn’t care.

Guys dehydration is no fun--been there, got the T-shirt, the hat and magnetic plaque for the frig. I'd carry a 2 litre camel back, 4 bottles of water in cargo pants pocket and filtration system to suck water from that pond. Glad you made it back.
Hell ya. Ive been watching and waiting for one of you guys to fill a tag. I do a trip with my cousin to West Virginia in Logan County and it's awesome to be able to go and do your own work.
pronghorn are extremely smart. i was recently in yellowstone and saw one being chased by a lone wolf. it broke away from its herd about two miles from where we saw it. the pronghorn ran across on open area and right into the middle of a herd of bison. the bison didn’t care about the pronghorn being there but they had calf’s with them and wouldn’t let any preditor, or that wolf near them. it was amazing to watch

Gooch: Lists the symptoms of heat stroke that he's experiencing
Jake: laughter increases
You know you when you stop sweating and can hear your heartbeat in your ears, shits about to get squirrely in a hurry.
I've heard Lampers say be patient and eventually the animal puts itself in a bad spot. This video is an example of that.
Great job! Love the stalking clips.
Congrats!! That was definitely the onset of heat stroke. Sketchy but worth it. Get a low profile Camelback, it saves me in the field every time.
Agree, even if you carry a lot of water in your backpack, most of it will be consumed (in your body) throughout the day so the weight isn't a big deal overall. I know those SD hunts end up way farther than expected though, so no ones fault!
Yea thats gonna happen, it kinda goes with the territory.
SilverMike88 Yeah, staying hydrated is key. I love my Camelbak too.
Gooch has a winter hat on ?

Hell ya. Ive been watching and waiting for one of you guys to fill a tag. I do a trip with my cousin to West Virginia in Logan County and it's awesome to be able to go and do your own work.
Shooting a buck out of a heard seems like quite the accomplishment. Has to be wayyyy harder to do that with so many extra eyes around! Nice work!!
23:22 someone let one rip
That is a feat! But to me they are the funnest thing to hunt with a bow spot in stock. The ultimate high when it happens! Awesome job!!!
Congrats "KZ" and the crew for another stalk and talk !
Zach may want to tune his bow. That arrow flight was crazy bad. Congrats on the Antelope!!
