Not only did the strong psychotropic drugs, that he was wrongly prescribed, make his mental condition worse directly, they also triggered a powerful autoimmune response, making everything much worse! That's basically what the first part of the song is about. Doctor after doctor telling him that his physical symptoms were psychosomatic/all in his head. They were even telling him this when he was in consant chronic pain, was unable to sleep, primarily because of the pain, was severely underweight, largely because his autoimmunity had made him severely allergic to virtually all food, was hardly able to function at all. All his requests for further tests, were seen as coming from a hypochondriac. One doctor even asked Ren, while bedridden, if he'd considered taking up a hobby!

I'm an old guy; been listening to great music for so long. I'm so sick of the suits involved in music today. Just let artists present there art to us and we'll decide if it's good or not. I hate how corporate popular music is today!
IMO and experience, mental health or sickness is realy complicated and medication should be use as a tool in a larger range of tool to help the persone to learne about themself and grow out of it, not to be stuck on few piles for the rest of their life (excepte few sickness) The medical ppl sadely don't have and don't take the time it need to bilt a proper trust relation with the patient and take the right time to listen to them. When it's done properly it change every things. Great reaction.
My experience is that plant food is to blame for my intolerance. Meat and animal products keep me healthier in my 70s than I've been in my life before. The menopause brought a lot of intolerances to the fore, meat healed it all. If I try to add veg/carbs back inflammation attacks my body.
