I don't know when Joe started playing, but he opened for BB King at 12 years old! Only on Fridays and Saturdays because of school. I was blessed to have seen his first gig with BB!
Great couple of Joe B. reactions! If you want to see him do something a bit different, check out his acoustic performance of "Woke Up Dreaming" with cellist Tina Guo, live at Carnegie Hall. Not sure what genre of music it would be, but an amazing performance by both artists.
Listen to Freddie King's version with Leon Russell on keys...saw them in 71 in Arlington, Texas, and have loved both of them since. Freddie used to hang out at Mother Blues in Dallas....
I love, love, love Joe Bonamassa!! He is sooo awesome! Not only is his playing spectacular, but his singing is the greatest z!!🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏 You should definitely do more!!!❤❤
@@Texas_Love Yeah I really took it all in, and getting to watch the whole band like I want to is a plus for me .. videos don't focus on the band much but I like the whole experience .. Cains Ballroom has a wooden floor, and I could feel the energy from the floor vibrating and through the air, vibrating my bones .. No chairs so standing the whole time .. That's an experience you don't get just from videos .. the headphones help alot though
Can you say "TIGHT"? Damn, they're great! Thanks man...you force me to smile (almost laugh) when you do. Perhaps someone else can recommend a tune by Joe, but I immediately thought of one by Alvin Lee..."The Bluest Blues". Absolutely killer!
Watch Joe live In Vienna It’s an all acoustic concert My favorite song of his woke up dreaming is an acoustic song though there are other versions with special guests My personal favorite is a man and his guitar. The whole concept in Vienna was exceptional. Next level.
the show was a tribute to the three Kings, and it was cool to see Joe switch to the same kinds of guitars the legends played when he did their songs. In fact the Flying V he used on Angel of Mercy was actually Albert King's famous "Lucy" that was loaned to him just for this show.
Storming acoustic instrumental from Joe, live the beacon theatre, Woke Up Dreaming. Starts of with a bit of singing then watch out. Also check out Blues Deluxe at Rock Palast.
Joe is a beast. SRV, Joe banamassa, jeff healey, gary moore, I cam listen to over and over and not get tired of it. Please react to hummingbird live from Greek theater. It will absolutely blow your mind
I just subbed to your channel. And That's exactly right about Reese playing with SRV . Your reacting to some of the best music ever . Just ran upon your channel and was checking it out and your reactions are spot on with me .
That was really good would have been a awesome night, I see some of the guys from the Jimmy Barnes Lazy cover are there with Joe and also Mahalia Barnes was one of the back up singers, Great stuff Cheers man :)
More Joe Bonamassa or Beth Hart and please try Black Country Communion ,I love Song Of Yesterday Live but the whole Live Over Europe is a vibe from my past The way I remember concerts in the late 70s and early early 80s all in balls out rock and roll
Great! Now you need to check out one of Joe's idols, the Irish guitar great Rory Gallagher. For an intro into Rory's music, try "Moonchild" at Loreley 1982 or for something slightly different, check out "Philby" at Montreux 1985 with Rory playing an electric sitar. "Do You Read Me?" from 1979 Rock Goes to College gives you an idea of the energy of his performances. Or check his acoustic chops on pretty much any rendition of "Pistol Slapper Blues". Rory was courted by the Rolling Stones, was Melody Maker's 1972 Guitarist of the Year (over Clapton, Page & Beck). He was a phenomenal talent that let us much too early in 1995 at the age of 47. Please take a listen-you won't be sorry!
Live grainy gritty video of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jeff Beck (another Brit guitar god) on tour together doing "Going Down" smokes this. Stevie is so animated and stoked to be with him. Joe is accomplished and polished. I want my blues with a little more grease.
Reese has played with Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Colin James, Ana Popovic, Dudley Taft, Eli Cook, Los Lonely Boys, blues Messengers, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Eli Cook and Joe Bonamassa
Had to laugh! Never heard anyone listen to JB and say "The one thing that song needed, was more guitar solo!😅 However, as someone indicated below, it sounds like you should listen to his performance of Just Got Paid at the Royal Albert Hall. It's a tribute to ZZ Top, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. If you need more solo after that (and aren't very impressed)...you should seek professional help!😅
So much respect for all these performers, SVR, Joe, Roy Clark, Glen Campbell....Maybe check out Gary Moore "the Messiah will come" his performance live at Montreux is awesome!!
I just seen your video with Joe bonamassa going down and yes you are correct the 3 kings what they're known baby king has 2 brothe actually started. Playing with b b king I'll be with you at thirteen to fourteen years old would just start to play with him
This was the 3 Kings tour which was special. He has a gigantic body of work. I recommended this to someone else a few mins ago but there's a concert in 2006 unreal th-cam.com/video/XfVGCrQdw08/w-d-xo.htmlsi=25PRSoKgZFdcqPhJ
I consider Joe the greatest living guitar player and have seen him 4 times. If your looking for an incredible solo may I suggest a song however by Gary Moore IMHO the greatest guitar player who ever lived and his live rendition of the Messiah will come again No lyrics just a long incredible solo leaving you believing the Messiah has come again and he is playing the guitar
I'm sorry Officer, I was listening to Joe Banamassa...😁
🤣🤣🤘🤘🤣🤣🤣 Right??!! That's funny!
Can I just say that not only is Smokin' Joe one of the greatest guitarists of all time but he's definitely the BEST dressed guitarist of all time!
I think you want to check out Just Got Paid live at the Royal Albert Hall. It's a medley of several great guitar riffs.
I don't know when Joe started playing, but he opened for BB King at 12 years old! Only on Fridays and Saturdays because of school. I was blessed to have seen his first gig with BB!
The backup singer with the tambourine is Jimmy Barnes daughter...

That video needs to be a absolute to watch. You talk about mindboggling
Listen to Freddie King's version with Leon Russell on keys...saw them in 71 in Arlington, Texas, and have loved both of them since. Freddie used to hang out at Mother Blues in Dallas....
He was opening for BB hisownself, at 12....

I sure would like to see Stevie and Joe on the same stage .. Wouldn't THAT be fire ?!!!
Yes! Would be incredible!
I love, love, love Joe Bonamassa!! He is sooo awesome! Not only is his playing spectacular, but his singing is the greatest z!!🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏 You should definitely do more!!!❤❤
Woke up dreaming is something you really need to react to his playing in that is ferocious
I got to see Joe Bonamossa a couple of times at Cains Ballroom .. back when he had long hair lol .. have a few of his CD's .. super good !

Joe's cover of Hummingbird is a must hear. It is from the same concert. Mahalia featured in background vocals. The guitar solo is epic.
This was the end of the 3 Kings tour. They were all blues players which is an understatement. Joe playing Albert Kings flying V.
That was a party🎉
He makes that guitar sing for sure
Right!
Ok, new Bonamassa fan here. Have not heard this song before. LOVE this. Your smile throughout was awesome as well!!!! ♥️♥️
Can you say "TIGHT"? Damn, they're great! Thanks man...you force me to smile (almost laugh) when you do. Perhaps someone else can recommend a tune by Joe, but I immediately thought of one by Alvin Lee..."The Bluest Blues". Absolutely killer!
Thanks, Guido!🫡😃 More blues to come for sure! It looks like we have A LOT to cover in the coming months!🤘🤘
@@Texas_Love I'm waitin'... 🙂🙂

More Joe Bonamassa or Beth Hart and please try Black Country Communion ,I love Song Of Yesterday Live but the whole Live Over Europe is a vibe from my past The way I remember concerts in the late 70s and early early 80s all in balls out rock and roll
BB, Freddie, Albert, The Three Kings, unrelated.
Also Anton Fig on drums. He played so many years with musical genius Paul Schaffer on the Letterman show.

Reese was actually the original keyboard player for the Allman Brothers while Greg was in college. Of Reese was let go when Greg arrived.
Don’t forget Anton Fig on drums
Awesome 😎

No connection, but they call them the three kings.
No connection with family between BB, Freddie and Albert....just blues!!!
Blues Deluxe live @ Rockplast is a shred fest!
Church.
Joe uses 2 drummers if you didn't notice. One of them is Anton Fig, who played with Paul Schaeffers band on the David Letterman show. FYI
Should check out blues deluxe live
