On behalf on Anakin the pie eating dug, I can only apologise, however kudos for pie choice he loved it 😂 🤣 couldn't stop laughing when the wife told me what had happened. We would still like to buy you a replacement pie... One without a dog on the other end of it
🤣🤣🤣 No way! Small world. That is so funny. Honestly, your wife was very kind and offered us some money, it was too much! Another dug got my friends sandwiches on the summit. Ravenous dogs on those Stirling hills! Thanks for getting in touch. I'll have to tell Ros and Andrew about this! 🤣
Loved this! Fantastic to see my local trails on your channel. Mine woods is fantastic so much variation. I have only done the first route on mine woods you took once, when I first started on a hard tail. Really scared myself. I will need to give it a go again! I usually take the middle route which is also awesome!
Cheers Paul. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it bud. It's great to be getting footage from further afield. Mine Woods was ace, very steep though. Thankfully it was dry! I'll hopefully get back there and try the other trails 🤙
Love how the dog ate your lunches 😂 mine woods is great! Looks like lots more there than a couple of years back when I rode it or I just didn’t explore enough!
Dumyat's been on my to do list as one of the groups of hills I set out to do including the Pentlands, Lomonds and Kilparticks which I have done with the exception of the Ochils, will have to pick a day this month and go for it. Mine woods looks great, not sure I could do the steep stuff but give the other trails a go, thanks for sharing!
Brilliant video! If you start at Menstrie you can do a big loop taking in a 6km climb up the hill, Kippenrait trail, Dumyat, Witches Craig, Mine Wood, Hermitage trail and a couple of other bits that I can't remember the names of, it's about a 35km round trip 👌
I make a annual pilgrimage to this place to see the relatives and to check in with DEVIATE they have some great drone shots of parts of that area . You can stay in Sterling Uni outside of term time , it’s cheap! My top tip is to drive to the top car park and save the climb until you have had your fun .
These are the trails I started on back in the mid 80s. Changed a lot since then. However, you missed out the trails in Hermitage Woods and Darn Road (old drove path). I would normally do a loop, Hermitage Woods, Mine Woods, Darn Road then finish on Dumyat. Next time you're up here give me a bell and I'll give you a tour.
after you come out on the road down Dumyat you can turn right and climb up to mine woods that way. I do like Dumyat but not the road climb at the start. That bit on the grass you can get some right good speed on.

It was a fun wee place for sure. Finding quiet times would be difficult I reckon. Have you done Gypsy Glen in Peebs? Would love to show you that! 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb nope will need to arrange it - Doing it late evening is ok. Probably busier with the sanitising of the climb too.
Yeah. These places are getting busier these days 😁
@@streetpigeonmtb full of bloody cyclists
They are the worst! 🤣
