    Hi, in the video you end up unwrapping all hair strands to the same UV island. What’s your workflow for splitting the hair strands into multiple hair UV islands?
    Once the full hair groom is done, it seems tricky. Would love to know your thoughts

    This is excellent. Can you do a version of this tutorial for Cinema 4D users? There is an acute shortage of tutorials for cinema 4D users on how to best use the Ornatrix plugin to create hair styles. Thanks!

    this wasn't explained very well in the tutorial, but in order for the rotate node to work, it has to be placed UNDER the mesh from strands node to work!

    Hair selection not working, point editing not working, there is no delete option in root section. Its full of bugs. Which version are you using? I have 2.3

      Hello, I can confirm hair Selection it's working, Edit Control Points it's working and the Delete Selected Strands button it's there and working perfectly. See the image below. Please post your bug report in our forums so we can keep track of them and solve them. gyazo.com/729034afbd638bdfb345ff8055e26a37

    @14:27 when duplicating a strip, I can't go "back" and make changes on the stack, it creates a mesh for that single strip and one mesh for all other strips.
    Wha would i do if i want to change something in the stack? It creates another "fur ball" in the outliner, what would i do?

    great tool, in my current workflow, i use Yeti or Xgen to convert to mesh, but the progress was too complex. i will use Ornatrix to update my workflow~!

      I'm using Maya 2017 and in this version there is no UV Toolkit.BTW I mean UV Toolkit which is placed on the right side.

    why "hair from guide" is there?

    • @jeordanisfiguereo7592
      @jeordanisfiguereo7592 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case I left HairFromGuides there in case i need to increase the hair cards amount by using hair interpolation. But as I noticed, HairFromGuides is not really needed in this workflow.

    Is the ornatrix for maya as good as 3ds max? I'm conflicted since I use maya lt for the animation tools, should I also get 3ds max (well obviously there's a steep price having both software annually) just for ornatrix or should I just upgrade to full maya? Anyone got any experience working with both versions of ornatrix? Pros and cons? Thank you

    • @Ephere
      @Ephere  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ornatrix started on 3dsmax so it still has a few more features there that will be ported to Maya very soon. Maya, OTOH, has its own features like Lucid hair physics which are not present on 3dsmax. The base workflow is very similar between the two.

      Hi Ann, sorry for the delay. In 3DS Max is exactly the same workflow, same modifiers/operators. You should be able follow and apply the techniques shows on this video using Ornatrix for 3DS Max with no problem.
