Actually what he said is his perspective... Like, very few movies in Tamil were actual movies. Most of them were just for Entertainment... Now you can say, Movies are made for entertainment. Yeah, But not for everyone... As a Director. For him Movie is life...

True, Movie isn't just an Entertainment, it influences everyone and it absolutely spoiled us, before we watch movies love is not an important or even a worthy thing but now just look at the mind set of youngsters, everyone is badly searching for their love. Many other things like smoking, drinking, insulting women, objectifying has increased rape etc., Every bad thing is fantasized. Movie has a big role in our lives.

Yeah, I accept there are many such kinds of the stuff shown in movies. But at the same time, there are even many more Good Movies. Why people aren't focusing on Good Movies as they do on Bad ones?
Why dont they learn or take any Good qualities from movies, instead all they do is just follow bad stuff...
So, the problem is not with Cinema. It's with the people...

@@stephenrajr9413Sry for this long comment. Most of the youngsters in Tamilnadu during 60s and 70s stopped drinking, smoking and learn to support justice including my dad. The reason is MGR. He is insanely famous because of his acting, screen presence and then he directed his fanbase in a good way of his choice. No hate to Rajini sir I love him but many youngsters started smoking and drinking due to his movie scenes.
You are right, it's all about individual's take but only when things are straightforward. If villian is shown as drinking people won't consider, but a hero is shown. Bad things are literally FANTASIZED and shown as if it's the correct way to be.
Body parts of women is objectified, fantasized even if we ignore that for first some movies they keep on doing it and change it as a trend, just say how many are waiting for O solriya mama song and forget to criticize that it's an item song. You can even objectify boys and make girls go crazy for them, it's literally happening now in Kpop industry. Girls go crazy even if abs or some body of the kpop star's is revealed by accident.
Let's consider make up, boys hate to wear and think it's not made for them but in the early ages Jameenthar do wear eyeliners and other makeup things to differentiate them from poor guys. So they direct us to behave and dressup certain ways through beauty standards for their business and convenience.
They can also make boys to wear makeup if they want to sell it.
Another one, just think how LGBTQ+ community is projected in our movies, I literally hated them and really thought they are always longing for sex and had bad intention. But it took a lot for me to respect them and understand Love is Love. So my point is not everything is in our perspective. Things around us have to take responsibility.
