And the reason this is what it is, is because these men want to be stars in this league and they have the ability to do it. Look at what Tyreek and Devante Adams got paid. This is generational wealth. George Pickens has the ability to be that put he’s stuck with Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett throwing him the ball. It’s not right. Shannon, you just earned mad respect from me and the Steeler nation for the way you explained how it is to Ocho. Pittsburgh was built by average men like me who get it out there every day busting their asses off for their family. Mailing it in has never been part of the mind set of this city. That's why people in Pittsburgh are so disgusted by Pickens. We'd rather lose out for this season than condone this guy talent or no talent.

This: Why I always loved my Steelers. They may not have had teams dripping with talent but they fought with all their heart the entire 60 minutes. Some average players would put on that uniform and it meant something to them.
I watched an old 70's Steeler game on TH-cam against the Colts I think. John Stahworth ( Not an average player ) delivered a block that took out 2 defenders which sprung Franco for a touchdown and won the game. They won 13-6 I believe. He wasnt worried about his stats that day or possibly getting hurt.
Steelers need to find unselfish lunchpail players who will do what needs to be done to win. The winning culture in Pittsburgh is being wrecked by these divas.

Chad is right. Loosing puts everything under the microscope. If they were winning games none of this ever gets mentioned. The QB position is in limbo. Loosing brings out the microscopes. Coach, O line, D line it all rolls down hill.
Many receivers don't see the value in anything but the ball coming to them. Guys like George Kittle are always so impressive where you see them running the ball with CMC or Deebo. Kittle is slamming every guy he can get his hands on.

If you’re not being used properly, much less, at all in your position, because nobody can get you the ball, and you’re wasting every game of an entire season watching millions in potential future earnings go down the drain because you’re underperforming and not putting up numbers to show your level of talent if only somebody could ......get you ...... the ......... ball..... (knowing you never again will have the speed, agility or maybe even health that you have right now,) do you think you’re as willing to risk it all to take those injury-producing hits to give to an organization that you believe is not giving to you? This is not a justification. It’s just human nature.
He’s young. He’s not seasoned. He also needs some time and time to face the harsh disappointment of a tough season where he could have been a huge help and made a big difference..... if only he was used right and somebody ......

I’m a Pittsburgh fan born and raised and the problem is there’s no more pride in the Steeler culture. Tomlin has slowly lost control ever since the AB antics and JuJu dancing on the field. Once juju left you heard nothing else from him and AB ran himself out of the league. However, the thing that stays consistent is the poor/inconsistent play, the lack of identity, too much loyalty within the organization and the inability to adapt to today’s league. I honestly like Kenny, I think he needs one or two more years and a new QB coach. But we also need to instill hard nosed no nonsense coaching back in Pittsburgh and some new blood. I know some people may live and die by coach T but it’s time to move on. He’s become the uncle/grandad you know you can get away with doing things with.

“Kenny needs one or two more years” all while a receiver’s entire NFL career on average is 2 something years. The only position shorter than a receiver is a running back.
These receivers don’t have time to stand in the end zone wide open and play around and wait for a QB to become decent in two years. In two years, they’re done or their market value is halfed. People see them as the prima donna problem when the short lifespan of their position in this business is their reality.

That is why these two relievers have little effort and bad attitudes. They ain't about the team they're about themselves. My only question is, why do it seem like Shannon has an issue with Coach Tomlin? Coach is a family man who raised his own kids well and is a good husband who happens to be the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Why don't you do a show about wide receivers in general having issues with their behavior on and off the field. Coach Tomlin didn't grow up with George Pickens, didn't Coach him in youth football, didn't Coach him in high at Hoover, didn't Coach him at Georgia, but he is getting all the blame for his behavior and now is trying to correct the damage caused by someone else. Some of the receivers Shannon named had issues before they came to the Steelers. Smh!!

If my family was going though a hard time, and I had the resources and talents to help them and make the situation better but chose to watch and just stand by it does not speak to my talents but to content of my my character. Tomlin inflicted substantial harm on the entire team by retaining Canada not only after the last season but also persisting with him for half of this season when it was glaringly evident that it wasn't effective. This decision resulted in a significant loss of support from the locker room, and it required starting players airing their grievances in the media to prompt Tomlin to ultimately part ways with him. This is undeniably a troubling development.
