Ill be doing this along with my upper and lower control arms, brakes and outter tie rods. Thank goodness that old Toyota still used common sense when engineering this beast of a rig. I am dreading doing the power steering rack at some point though.
Just for future reference, you don’t have to remove the brake calipers or rotors to remove the axle. You can just remove the bolts from lower ball joint and nut from end link and swing the whole hub to the side.
I was also doing the hub bearings which will be different video. But for the seating and better view, removing all of that helps. The bad side on mine had a torn up seal due to last person jamming it blindly in.
