Jisoo seem to be the least popular probably due to background. Jennie and Rosè have English speaking nations with them. Lisa is heavily supported in Thailand, they are massive. Meanwhile Jisoo has South Korea, where every move of an idol is scrutinized. One wrong move and you're cancelled.

Yes Jennie and Rosé English speaking ability and foreign background give them advantage in certain factors because they used to lived overseas and Rosé is an aussie but their popularity isn't because of that reason. Lisa have huge support from Thailand but it's not only for that reason because other foreign or Thai idol aren't as popular as her. Why they aren't popular if Lisa can become so popular? Lisa popularity has nothing to do with Thailand support. She also have huge Chinese fan base and other nations. For Jennie, she is very popular in South Korea she is considered as Korea it girl but why jisoo isn't getting the same treatment. Rosé is appreciated by many for her vocal and other aspects, I think her popularity is almost the same as jisoo. There will always be a most popular and a least popular members in a group but I think it has nothing to do with where they were born. Also during fashion week she got the biggest crowd ever, also bringing more than $15M to her brand just with 2 Instagram posts. She got the title of Asia it Girl (together with Lisa) last year she made a HIT trend with her hairstyle the whole China was using that as “jisoo’s hairstyle” also she is the 2nd most popular member in Korea without any push (she doesn’t have any solo promotions there). Conclusion Jisoo is not the least and won’t never be.

Perception shifted pretty quickly, with Jisoo solo stans soon noticing she wasn’t receiving equal promotion and, instead of turning on YG, they turned against Jennie and Lisa for being so popular (though I think Jennie took the most damage to her reputation as a result). This is why Jennie is a lot quieter in interviews these days and isn’t as prominent in recent Blackpink promotions, though her physical issues are a big part of it as well.

I think the tide has turned and she is getting more of the positive attention she deserves but you could definitely tell that she got a lot less attention then the other girls in the past. I even noticed when watching people reacting to their videos that people would always pause the video when Jisoo’s part was about to start and reactors just seemed to comment on her less.
I think there are South Koreans who prefer her to the other girls because she’s the only one born and raised in Korea but people outside Korea seem to prefer the other girls. I think Jisoo has an amazing personality and is really funny without even trying and she deserves the same adoration that the other 3 get.
