- We started our day at the Ninja put in trailhead, where Cody and Tony decided to sit their kayaks in feces. Halfway down the trail, a hiker pointed out that their boats smelled like death. We knew it would be an unusual day on the water. Overall, we had clean lines though. A rough Crux portage wasn’t the best either, but the Tuck had some amazing rapids and it wasn’t too far from home. We will get back out there someday for sure. #whitewater #gopro #hero11 #westforktuck #kayaking #whitewaterkayaking
That looked like a blast, some of those strainers were hard to spot, at least on a tiny phone screen, and looked like they were waiting for any unfortunate swimmers. Nice paddling
Appreciate it! There was a lot of wood everywhere. Not my favorite. Thankful that we all came out relatively unscathed 🤙🏼
Sounds like a exciting way to start the day. Atleast didn't sit the paddles in it lol.
It was hilarious 😂
Looks like one of you has an Apple Watch Ultra on. How does that thing hold up in the stouts?
It’s actually just an SE with a bumper and screen protector on it. It’s been great! This is my second one, had the first for 4 years. I never paddle without it and have had no issues whatsoever.
What’s your take on flight sim?
I was happy with my line! Landing was more flushy than I thought it would be. I heard an 11 o’clock angle is what you want so that was the goal. Cody had more of a right angle, it drove him in to the small eddy on the right. I saw some guys go a little left of my line, just a few feet, looked to have a nice boof. But I’ve also heard about the potholes over there.
@@TheChitwoodBrothersKayaking yeah looks like you both had pretty clean lines down it. The reconnect didn’t look that bad on video
@@IraFowler3 didn’t feel violent at all! Surprisingly soft pad down there, I think it’s just a relatively small pad.
