Hello ma'am, very nicely explained I have been searching for this. Finally got it. Very useful. I am from Andhra, but can understand and speak Tamil but not that fluently. Your subtitles help none speaking tamilians. I have a doubt, my tawa turned black in the middle. How much ever I was it's not going. If u cook in medium or high flame the dosa is turning black in middle only. If I cook in low flame the dosa is turning crisp. My kids don't like crisp dosa, they find it difficult to eat. Please help me what to do? Thank you very much.
Cook in low flame itself ..u cook by covering ma ..dosa turn crispy if u cook more time ..so u can cook few minutes so that u will get non crispy dosa ma

soap use pana, kandippan next time dosa suda varathu..apdi soap pottu clean paninal..clean panna aprama ,dosa kala heat panni , water dry aana aprama, coat with oil and use it next day by wiping hot tawa with onions, dosa will come easily

i use seperate tawa for chapathi indolium..i use that for nonveg (omlette,fish)..so i use only salt for iron tawa cleaning..if so much oil deposit is there, i will clean with dish was soap and again heat the pan and spread oil on it and then use onion to spread before making dosa

Your dosa looks yummy. I also bought dosa tawa like this. I just started using it. But flat a ilama , center la kuzhiya irukira mathri vangiten. So dosa centre la matum nalla cook agughu, other areas la white a iruku. Apram sim la than vachi cook pananum . Otherwise dosa karugi poiduthu. Is dosa tawa should be flat and thick ? What mistake I did , can you tell madhu??

Cook in low flame ma … sprinkle water to reduce temperature … since it is more hot it happens like that and may be tawa is of less weight … if so , it will cook fast , so you need to be near tawa to attend it quickly before burning

Thanks for such good information, your videos are real good. When I make dosas on the iron tawa, the first one comes out so crispy and nice and later though crisp, they don’t feel like the first one, as the tawa though on slim heat is still hotter than in the beginning. So what can we do for that, should I sprinkle water to cool the tawa down, please advice. Thanks. One more thing is the iron tawa when stored away for long develops a smell due to the oil wiped on it, how to avoid that. Thanks
if u feel more hot while cooking sprinkle water to balance the heat..smell may be because of oil coating ..u have to clean once it once with salt before using it sis to get rid of the smell

Hi...i am from bangalore. I have cast iron tava. I seasoned it with the help of your videos. But now the 3rd or 4th dosa is getting sticky in center point. I am cleaning every time with onion..for every dosa. But also after 3rd or 4th dosa its getting sticky and its not moving to round shape. What to do pls show. Do more videos to put dosa atleast 5 dosa s pls....

dont keep it close ..keep it open and if u coat with little oil after each use ,no rust will be formed
