- 8,000 Quarters Searched for Rare Coins - Quarter Hunt and Fill #17
I've decided to start a new series and see how far we can get at attempting to fill up a set of Dansco Washington Quarter Folders. There are 372 slots in these Folders but we don't expect to fill them all through coin roll hunting. Instead, we want to see how long it will take to fill the book with everything but the Key Dates, Semi-Key Dates and tougher silver quarters. Obviously, we'll be praying for some of those along the way!
This is part 17 of the series (Boxes 81-84, and 29-32 YTD) and I do plan on updating it from each quarter box I hunt from this point forward until the Washington quarter coin collection is nearly completed! I will say in advance that once we get to a point where it is nearly impossible to add any more coins to the album, we will then halt the series and try to fill the rest of the slots with existing finds, junk silver hunts or coins in my duplicates collection.

Sorry I didn't come back for the live stream yesterday but about the canadian junk silver hunt if you were to do it would you buy the junk silver on the internet like ebay, or Facebook, ect. Or would you try to find a foreign silver dealer in your area. I guess my question for you is how would you do it

I got a 1963 quarter in a box last Friday. The week before, I got a 1912 Barber quarter and 3 weeks ago, I got a 1945 quarter. That's typically what I get in a year, number-wise. I don't usually get Barbers.

Quarters are tough. And W’s are getting harder and harder to find. And when you do find them, they don’t look so good.
I just accepted a offer of $75.00 for a 1855 sitting Liberty Half Dol. with arrows and I only paid $10 at my LCS 💪🤩

Found 2 silver quarters so far for 2023, and my 11th silver dime so far with a 1950. In all 16 silver so far for the year, think people are catching onto silver coins again.
Rob, how can you tell if it is proof? I see it has shine but I saw a few marks on them. So it makes me wonder which is better to fill my coin books (a proof coin or a bu coin)?
An s mint matk will tell you if its proof and you can tell better in real life but they shine alot more
I've only been collecting since the beginning of this year. I can't afford to buy boxes of quarters. But in all of the rolls that I have searched I have yet to find a single silver quarter. I have found one W quarter. It's a 2019 War in the Pacific.

Dude I have like 30 plus of those 2020 quarters the last one you found with the tree design or whatever it is why hang onto those only reason I know I have so many is just went threw a big pile and found a bunch of those is it because not to many where made

They are tough to order since they are not circulating coins anymore. Many banks don’t want to deal with them.

Silver is a terrible investment. Comex manipulates the paper silver market which sends the spot price down and this won’t change. Horrendous investment precious metals are

@@jaymartell2967 yes. Like paper 📑 stocks. But in this case the silver doesn’t exist. They just manipulate the numbers to make insane profits. It’s rigged
YES - Paper silver is a poor investment. Physical silver is a good hedge against inflation and is a much smarter alternative to throwing fiat money under the mattress. :)
