Back in May 21, 2003, Nancy only had $5,500 going to the bonus round. And then she got the confetti and won $100,000. Her total winnings was $105,500.
That is what Dick Clark (who passed away last week at the age of 82) wanted too see a $100,000 win on Wheel of Fortune.
Way To Go Sharon and Congratulations you deserve it 👍
Sharon, we’re giving you a check made out to cash: $100,000!
100,000 glasses broke at the moment she squealed.
Well this Thursday we crowned our second Million Dollar Winner in the history of Wheel of Fortune, making her victory the biggest to total in history of the show.
In 2006, there was a college kid that won $100,000 albeit being the exact same puzzle.
Her name is Elyse Thomas (Arizona State University)
@@mannyslifevlogs6539 and it was in Denver Colorado
@@traemiles7454 Yes it was, inside the Denver Colorado Convention Center
Wows, the first $100,000 win of the year.
Pat: Congratulations!
Sharon: Thank you!
Pat: Were you curious about this?
Sharon: Yes!
Pat: Hold your ears. (Pat shows Sharon the envelope that says $100,000.)
(Sharon screams!)

OMG! Somebody in the audience was wearing a Phillies shirt. AWESOME!!!
Ten years later, and I still wonder how many people had bleeding ears following that big win. Assuming they ignored Pat's warning... :D

There was a $100,000 winner in 2006 and the answer was back in a flash.
Vanna's little jump and "yes" at 1:24!!

Wow, this is personally the first time I've witnessed (at least as a television viewer) a contestant winning $100,000 on this show. Probably something we'll never see on a certain other game show.
Thank God! I was starting to fear that there wouldn't even be a $100,000 winner at all this season.
Now how about a $1M win? We haven't had one in a long time.
Oh My Goodness!!!
2 $100,000 winners with that same "phrase"?!
Get Outta Here!
May 15, 2006 - Elyse Thomas
April 26, 2012 - Sharon
Dammit! She shattered all my drinking glasses.
"Hold their ears," Pat would probably tell you. ;-)
You'd think they'd try to get more bonus round puzzles...
Hey there! Someone won the 100 grand tonight! You should post that one!
at least this puzzle gained 2 separate $100k winners unlike "Magic Wand"
Thank god, the first $100K win of the season!! Where the hell have you been, confetti? It April.
2:15😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
fun fact - another $100,000 winner had this puzzle too!
Giratina70 I know
Giratina70 hold your ears
2006
It must've changed; the default on my main page showed Sharon and Pat at the bonus wheel, no spoilers.
ABOUT TIME that gets won this season! Hopefully the confetti isn't getting that dusty for how long it's been up there.
Here's a suggestion for a title, WayoshiM.
Big Losing Streak Ends in a Flash
Is it just me or have they used "Back In A Flash" before?
Justin M. they have back in 2006

Crazily, this is NOT the first time someone solved that same puzzle to win the $100,000 prize!
Sharon, we're giving you a check made out to cash: ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!

Someone needs to hire better puzzle writers.. it's a bad sign when the puzzles get recycled.
I have been trying to find the first 100k win off this puzzle forever... can anyone help me out? :P
in 2006 in Denver
Nicholas Swann thank you, sir.
+Bryan Graham I'll have the recap from 5/15/78
