I hope so!!! Looking forward to your videos too. You've already had an super awesome season and probably enough footage for the whole summer probably. Haha
Hi Lu. I hope you are well. You caught some beauties. Good for you. One of them said “I’ll see myself out” and made it’s way back in the water. Congratulations on the big mama! As always 💖from Deifenbaker Lake.
Hahaha thanks Delphine!!! Yeah it was definitely a great start to the season!!! Thanks for watching and commenting, and hope you have a great fishing season!! Good luck out there!! FISH ON!!! 😀
I just got off the lake in Alberta and got my biggest pike yet, 24 inches. We just got little dudes on this lake they seem to average about a foot and aren’t very big around so a 24 incher is massive here.
Thanks man!!! Glad Tom had his bump board there. Haha. Super skinny for an almost 46 incher tho, not like the 46 in March, Haha. That one I could barely hold up!
How do you determine which fish you want to keep to eat? Also, I went fishing for the first time last week and I caught a Tiger Trout but when I put it in my net, my hook got stuck on the net. Should I have a certain net for certain hooks or something?
Hey great questions! I usually keep the smaller ones, or ones that are hooked badly and bleeding, and let the big and healthy ones go. Also there is a size limit in Saskatchewan where you typically can only keep one over a certain length for different species. You can get nets that are of a rubber material, that's what I had in this video and they don't snag hooks nearly as easy. The nylon string nets are pretty bad, catches net so easy and hard to get hook out. But congrats on catching a tiger trout, I've never actually caught one of those yet...
Haha thanks man. We just started getting into fishing. Got a Pelican Mission 100 which is how I ran into your first video. My wife and I watch your videos.
Hey man love your vids what spot is this? me and my freinds recently got into fishing since last year but had no luck last year and this year were looking for spots. if you could tell me bunch of spots id love to try them out.
Thanks for watching the videos. Most lakes have fish in Saskatchewan, check out the fishing guide and you'll find lots info regarding what lakes has what fish too. Good luck out there!
DO NOT EAT THE FISH IN BUFALO!! i live 30 mins from the lake and fish here all the time, the water is so polluted you will get extremely sick from eating the fish
Hey thanks for your comment. I've had fish from there quite a few times, have never gotten sick yet. Is it all the farming activities nearby that pollutes the water?
@@LuRanOutdoors im not entirely sure whats causing the pollution but i do know that the fish there can get you extremely sick, id recommend fishing craik tho, some of the best tasting walleye in sask
Lu. I'm a huge fan of your channel, always like and comment. However, when you keep the fish to eat, what are the chances you could immediately kill them instead of letting them flop around gasping. That's a human equivalent of drowning and in my opinion just not great. Still a big fan, you're a great guy but maybe kill them if you're going to keep them. Good fishing to you
Hey Josh, thanks so much for pointing that out and calling me out on that. I totally agree with you. It was definitely not the best way to treat the fish. I was just too excited on opening day and didn't want to waste anytime finding a stick or something to hit the fish with. But I will for sure do better next time! Thanks for watching the videos, like and commenting!! Much appreciated Josh!!! 🙏 Hope you have a good fishing season, good luck out there!!
What an amazing start and what a tank. Beauty fish!
Thank you so much sir!!! You have been slaying them too! Great work out there!!! 👍👍👍
Yay! Crazy action and the tank mama! Its gonna be a good season!

That was crazy, big pike are so cool!👍
Thanks man!! They might still be there, you should go give it a try!!
I would get a stroke hooked a 46 incher from bank! Awesome buddy!!
Hahaha... thanks so much!!! :)
Where was this exactly in buffalo pound?

Nice catch! You inspired to fish.
Thank you very much!!! :)

I took some small ones home.

Of course, no problem at all. Let me know if you have any questions!!
That's awesome, those are great kayaks!! Thanks for watching my videos man!! :)
Lou whats your rod and reel set up and line !??
I think I have the Daiwa revros combo. I just got mine from cabelas.
@Lu Ran Outdoors nice ! And the line ??? I usually use spider wire braid but idk if I like it anymore
@J A I actually used 30lb gliss line here. But gliss line can be pretty messy if not casting carefully, not everyone like them.
@@LuRanOutdoors okay thanks lu!
@J A no problem man! Goodluck out there!!
Did you loose that pink jig head I think I found it lol because the water dropped
Hahaha that's awesome... but no I never lost the pink jig, but it was pretty beat up at the end of the day tho!

You would want to try shallow lakes and tributaries of lakes in the spring. And as the temperature of the water rises, move deeper.

@joeyfriedrich9206 hey thanks very much for letting me know. I might have to try craik some day.
Too many shots where you're in the middle of fighting the fish. Try to work on that.
If gopros make better batteries, I'll be able to keep the camera running the whole time and capture all the hook sets.
@@LuRanOutdoors They do! GoPro Enduro Battery's.
@CalebMerceaFishing how long do they last?
@@LuRanOutdoors Bought a two pack a week ago, and one lasts about 1 hour and 45 minute's (possibly more). 1080p 60 was what I was using.
