I think you guys should be ok at Rockingham.. pretty sure their limit is 104db but they don't actually test if I remember right. I ran my Scorpion rp1 GP pipe on my k9 Gixxer thou with no problems and that's a 105db straight through titanium race Pipe. This bike sounds awesome. My dream bike with my dream pipe, such a shame that track days have limits coz I would be so happy if they didn't lol. Best of luck and enjoy :) i'm extremely jealous lol

Where did you get the slipon? I've seen two GP slipons for the 2015 R1, one has the black laser etching for the Akrapovic logo, the other is full color. I know it seems silly but I can't find the black version anywhere.
Hey was the bike flash tuned or is this straight from stock? i have the same exhaust altho i live in the US i was able to acquire a EURO version akrapovic setup like this. its on its way!!
God.... the R1 has always been an amazing sounding bike, 2015 is no different. GSX-R, Ninja, H2, S1000RR, regardless of whichever one is fastest I'll always like the R1 best, if for no other reason than the sound.
look at videos of Germany 2015 r1 vs 2015 s1000rr the r1 spanks on the s1000r because Germany don't restrict the ECU like US does by taking away 15+hp away

How did you get on with baffle? I have just bought an R1M for track use. It comes with the standard and akro can. I want to dump the cat and fit a mid pipe(only £250), for obvious reasons, but as you allude to, there is no chance of it getting past the static noise test of 101db with the mid pipe unless there is some sort of baffling. I have spoken to Steve at MHP who is pretty much the custom baffle guru and he reckons the R1 is susceptible to piping changes and you can lose up to 20 bhp by baffling it, which kind of defeats the object of the exercise so would really be interested in how you got on.
check my other videos....decat your cat. have the flap closed for static noise testing, then wire the flap fully open when passed. it passes drive by (even brands) and has full power....other option is seton or mhp. hope this helps.👍

no. the bike remaps itself constantly. if you switch back to cat (without xup for track days )....the bike will then remap itself back. If you want it to stop flaming, then install grave smog block off plates. (we havent). hope this helps.👊😎

no. you don't have to. be careful of "flash tuning"....you can lose immobiliser & brake light. dynojet pc5 is the best bet, but they haven't released an o2 sensor for it so you will have an engine light up (until they release one....next couple of months).
Kite twat seton tuning. (Phil seton). it's an alternative to mhp. they make exhaust that are 102db with full power for R1 . ...they do loads of other bits like flash tune, blippers, clip ons, rear sets etc. (worth a look)

I run the Akrapovic Ti Race system and with a baffle just squeezed in a 105db day on track
