    Update my car has been in the dealership for 4 months. I have all the paperwork service and diagnostic reports etc etc to support my car engine was faulty before the point of purchase. The dealership, Nissan customer care & Nissan finance agree that the engine was indeed faulty before I bought the car. At the moment the dealership have to perform certain diagnostics on the engine to find out where the noise is coming from as the warranty company need this before they will sign off a new one. If you type 2014 Nissan Qashqai engine fault in a search engine take a look at the results I have no words.
    I payed for an extended service plan after the complimentary ones ran out. In this service plan it says that I get a courtesy car while the car is being serviced I have had no car for 4 months.
    The only thing stopping me from going directly to a solicitor is the lady at Nissan customer care she is an absolute credit to them. I honestly believe she is trying to help. So much red tape to get them to finally admit this known fault £19500 for a car that needs a new engine 3 years into a 4 year + finance package. I WILL not give up this fight. If you read this please like this post to help my plight.
    I have heard there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Watch this space fingers crossed 🤞

    In England they are made in Sunderland. I have had one for 5 months and I learned more from your video than from the manual. It is a great car.

    I wish it was called the Qashqai in the US. The reason why it isn’t called that is because most Americans would have trouble pronouncing it and the Rouge Sport nameplate makes more financial sense as we have the Rouge and you Canadians as well

    How do I convince my husband that the Rogue Sport is as good as the Rogue, for he has one and he thinks that for some additional amount of money, you can get a bigger car plus the power lift gate? But I don't need or like to drive a car that big. He didn't test drive the Rogue Sport, and he is concerned that the driving dynamic and comfort level won't be as good as the Rogue, or at least the accelation should be able to keep up with the Rogue, which, althought not great, is acceptible to him even with the Eco mode on all the time.

    • @ThomasWarrenYT
      @ThomasWarrenYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! The Rogue Sport and the Rogue are essentially the same vehicle, simple as that. Just think of the Rogue Sport as a cheaper trim level on the Rogue that makes it slightly smaller and has a couple features missing like as you mentioned, the power lift gate. As for the comfort and drive of the two vehicles, as they share the same platform, they are nearly identical. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions, I’m happy to answer them! I plan on doing a Rogue Sport VS. Rogue video in the future so stay tuned for that. Thanks for stopping by the channel

    • @ThomasWarrenYT
      @ThomasWarrenYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes there is also a plant in the UK. They have really separated the American and European versions. You have had the face-lifted version in the England for much longer than we have had it and you also get more options like the diesel engine that you mentioned. I'm looking forward to the day that Nissan gives us all the cool options that the rest of the world gets.

    Cool car except the ac doesn't cool continuously, it stalls all of a sudden. No solution yet, a big let down on an otherwise excellent suv

    It's funny how different that model is when you look at danish models and canadian models. We have a 1,3 DIG-T with 160 PS and DCT And that is pretty good i think.

    Never buy a Nissan Qashqai timing chain issues and after that new engines are needed. Appalling air conditioning new condenser needed every two years. Parking sensors fill with water when it rains and it thinks your parking when you drive Nissans answer was to drill holes in the bumper to stop the water ingress. Watch out for the warning signs oil consumption that’s the start of your Nissan journey enjoy 😉 PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Sorry Nissan but you need to honour the people who bought the faulty cars you produced with Renault building the engines and fitting the piston rings incorrectly. If at least one person reads this and it stops them buying one I am a happy man.

    So much for “politically correct” pronunciation of this model.
    It’s a great vehicle.
    Why they haven’t changed out the antenna for a more sporty modern looking Shark Fin is beyond me.
    You get roof rails so you can put on a roof rack and chances are the first time you load the rack you’ll take out the antenna...brilliant.
    Who engineers these things?
    Hopefully they have given Canadians the option of selecting Fahrenheit temp readings instead of the stupid Celsius we have had to endure for whatever reason I still haven’t figured out.......especially when a 2 x 4 is still a 2 x 4......and a sheet of drywall is still 4 x 8 .....dah!
    What would have been a smart option is the engine kill when you apply the brakes at a light and an “anti idle for no reason” feature.
    Maybe someday we’ll learn from the Europeans.
