- Olive from the TV series On The Buses. She was played by British actress and former model Anna Karen. The main characters were centred around bus driver Stan and his conductor chum Jack. Olive's chauvinistic husband was Arthur. A lot of the comedy surrounding Olive was missed when first shown, perhaps because the focus was on the main characters. When you
watch a second, or third time, you can pick up on the comedy and the genius of Anna Karen. I have painstakingly scrawled through a lot of content to put together these clips of Olive. Now that actress Anna Karen has passed away, this will be a lasting tribute to the actress, only on The Phil Blantyre Channel.

R.I.P Olive.Actress Anna Karen sadly died in an Essex house fire in Ilford aged 85 .

brilliant actress Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie was one long homage to Anna Karen's depiction of Olive really , a comedy character you kind of loathed , pitied and loved all rolled into one

Great laughs, never fails to get me chuckling especially how Arthur talks to Olive!! I met Anna a few times snd she was lovely, but called a spade a spade. She liked a cigarette as well, which tragically it seems according to reports might have been the cause of the fire. How very very sad for this fine actresses life to end. 😥

very sad news about her death, no mention of this on the news.
Never give babies that gripe water. A baby on here recently stopped breathing because it caught its breath from this stuff. A police officer tried to bring it back to life but couldn’t so it went to the ED and luckily lived.

@@PhilBlantyre I’ve seen both films mate and never have I seen this part to either film. Mutiny on the buses starts with the baby on the potty but I’ve never seen the scene where the baby was days old or them all going on the bus or even olive working at the depot and giving her wages to Arthur
There are 3 films mate, Holiday, Mutiny and just one called On the Buses. Its from that one.
