Erma and Goley- The Early Years

Recorded in 2001, long time Memphis resident Erma Montgomery talks about her life and history in the Mid-South. Her tale winds through history from growing up in the depression to raising two girls while her husband was sent to fight the Germans in WW2 and being wounded in the Battle of the Bulge to her life after the war. Erma passed away on Dec. 14, 2011, but her story as one of "The Greatest Generation" lives on in her own words.
