William Shatner is such a badass. The dude is 91, and T hasn't killed him. When I start thinking about my T too much, and that I can't go on living this way, I just think about William Shatner, and how he, despite having tinnitus, has lived a long life and it hasn't stopped him.
3 weeks after I developed a much more severe tinnitus , I had the chance to meet William Shatner in NY. He could tell I was in bad shape , told him why … and he spent the next 5 minutes talking about his experiences with T and resources I can seek out. He probably saved my life that day as I was on a downward spiral. So happy my family forced me to go. Good luck to us all

The best thing about my tinnitus is that i can only notice it when i'm alone in my sleep. Or in a quiet place. When I'm talking with someone i can't even hear it. Honestly try that. You're too busy paying attention to the words, you can't even hear it unless you focus on it. It's not too late for me to always wear hearing protection and lower headphone usage. And it's not too late for you to protect the hearing you have.
Dr. Ben I have tinnitus bad. I have high frequency hearing loss in right ear and some in left. I believe the buzzing in right ear is so loud that I actually hear it on top of my head. You had another lady that had it like mine also. It was called The sound of Freedom: How Kasia found relief from extreme tinnitus. Someone put a comment that my head feels like electric buzzing, that’s how I feel also.
I've had it for 12 years, i managed to live with it and it didnt affect me badly, but after getting my second Covid round it became worse. It really shocked me that it could get worse. I always use ear protection when around loud noise🤷🏻♂️
Many many famous guitar players have tinnitus and it has bothered me for quite some time that they never mention it unless asked in interviews. They should volunteer this information and warn young musicians to wear ear protection. Their live shows are often quite loud and they don't seem to care if anyone in the audience should end up with damaged hearing. A great degree of irresponsibility at work here.
I developed tinnitus after I fainted and fell hard and hit the left side of my head/face. Its on my left ear It’s not horrible but it’s there and it gets louder when I get anxious.
Tinnitus is typically exacerbated with increased stress/anxiety and/or lack of sleep. If you'd like to discuss further with one of our Audiologists, feel free to schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation: treble.health/consultation
