If you enjoy this gear and making use of it when you go out and explore the world, then it's perfect for you. Cheers from the USA PS: I enjoyed how well equipped you were. It let me reflect and gave me ideas for my own setup about things I may be missing or could do without.
Thanks Pat. Its a bit of motorcycle camping / bushcraft. As most of our camp sites are Australian outback and bushland. Glad it gave a few ideas for you. That makes my day. Thanks again 👍👍
Great kit list - now we need a video to show how you pack it. Joking aside, I am rethinking my kit after seeing this. I don't take nearly as much but a lot of my gear is much bigger ie. my cooking kit is a petrol stove. Food for thought - Thanks!
NB! As a tent person id suggest going with kind of stoves you can use inside the tent (in case of rain) and just that ,you dont need 3 versions of stoves...
All these naysayers out there, I believe he is set up for Australian conditions. If you live here in Australia, one can really relate to all that gear that he is carrying... great stuff mate.. see you out there

Having visited Australia from the northwest England. I concare if that's what your happy carrying and using on your trips don't let anyone say otherwise. I go France on my bike alot an like you have my creature comforts lol great video 👍

There are countries or areas where gas bottles are not always available while finding fuel is not a problem. Also a fire stick would be a nice addition to your camping kit. It makes it easy to start a fire camp and works in any conditions, even wet. For example if you're wet and need to get warmer that can be a more reliable solution than having to use matches or a lighter.
And I thought that my bike and hike equipment was complete! But luckily shopping is very easy nowadays. Many thanks for your informative video, greetings from the Netherlands.

Great video, thanks for sharing, I didn't see any smaller tools Alan keys, screw drivers, sockets or small spanners that you cant get to with the big adjustable. Also tyre plugs are handy in an emergency. Apologies if I missed them. Regards RR
Enjoyed your take on moto camping. At 69, I cannot sleep on the ground anymore. If I am camping I need a cot inside the tent! Probably take out a second mortgage and pick up a Helinox cot to go with my Helinox chair, LOL
Helinox are good but very expensive yes. There are copies now that are a third of the price and of fair quality. Worth trying before committing to helinox
For a sleeping pad, check out Klymit (more compact and lighter weight). For tents, check out Marmot up Tungsten, Hype & Byke, or Big Agnes series of tents (light weight and more compact in size) For cookware, stainless steel is the better way to go. I could really use a portable sink and that multipot. But am having trouble finding them on internet. Could you give a brand name and description of both, please. Awsum vid, thanks for taking the time to make and share.

Wow.. That's a lot of stuff, most I like and would use..wow that's a lot stuff..oh I said that lol . But if you have fun and enjoy your trips THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS! very much enjoyed your video, so I subscribe. Thank you.
A lot of stuff going on that bike mate but its your trip so your choice. You are also catering for the environment. Oz is a lot warmer than up in Scotland where we have cooler climes to deal with. Keeping warm and dry are the main issues. Keep them coming bud.
Maybe mention a few more brand names to help us cut through the dross? No better starting point than a recommendation. What make your pillow and cot ? Cheers.
Great video. You do bring a lot of gear, but who cares? It's your bike and your comfort is what's important. You and I have carry some similar gear and yet you have some cool stuff I think I might add. I carry 1/3 of you what you do and recently did a similar video on TH-cam. Many people commented that I bring way too much stuff. I wonder how some of these people do it.
Extreme Daily Drivers Thanks it all fits on the bike with room to spare and weighs less than the wife. So camping gear wins. Lol send me the link to your gear video. Thanks for the feed back.👍
Actually instead of the foldable sink, we carry a foldable dunlop bucket, sturdy and soo much more practical. And i would suggest an inflatable mattress, sooooo much lighter, more comfy and of course you can fold it next to nothing 👍
Brilliant video, & maybe your missing a trailer to carry it all. But I’m with you on the comfort thing as I’m on the other side of 50, & I need more comfort as well. Bloody good video though
One thing you might want to rethink is keeping your FAK in that pouch. If you go down and someone needs to use it on you, you've got a 50/50 chance of it being under the bike.. ;)
Wow, very comprehensive. I did add a couple of things to my list after seeing this. Do you really need two stoves? I use a Trangia which includes the metho stove in a kit with saucepans & frying pan, that little bottle of metho won't last too long. Good work.

Im like you on tge sleeping bag. But check out Teton sports Celcius bag. I have the XL. The quality of thos bag for the cheap price is rediculous. It's big, has baffles all over. Super soft flannel I side. And less than $100. I think it was about 75 USD. An amazon. Best bag I have ever had and highly recommend it to all my riding buddies. Slept comfy warm I. About 35°F.
Many thanks, sorry mate didn't catch your name? what is the name of the collapsible black bag you can use to carry water/clean dishes etc? Many thanks Max
whatupg1 hi Max Andy is my name they do sell them in camping stores, make sea to summit. Mines off ebay though a lot cheaper. Link enclosed bud. rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F182918537230
Many thanks Andy, Apologies i missed your name in the beginning of the vid. Keep em coming mate, great stuff. About to watch the rest of your videos. Thankyou!
You have some great ideas like the chopping board/tripod. One additional item I would pack would be a small bottle of sunscreen...me being cursed with pale Irish skin, ya see.
generally a good vid ,thumbs up. i guess if theres too much stuff depends on how far to the boonies are you going(distance from civilization i mean) and if you often offroading to these places.i dont have an expensive offroad adv bike myself ,yet ,but as an road tourer i certainly can manage with less stuff than that.Btw ,if somebody would do a lot of offroading i might suggest also think about the collective weight of all the stuff people pack, for instance the big wrench seems totally overweight and overkill ,there are better options for tools out there.
What kind of fishing pole is that you use? looks perfect and I would like to get one myself. Make and Manufacturer please? thank you! (loved the video thanks!)
Hi Buddy it was a cheap one i bought of ebay to try. But as been a great rod. I cant find the original link but here is a similar one. rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F392292383566
Yes I did ! LOL I could not believe that everything went into the panniers. But I'm like you, I carry a lot of stuff, I like to have comfort. Congratulations
It is properly too much gear, but if it makes your journey better, then who cares, if you can have it on your motorcycle. :-) I have only some comments about your first aid kit. I would move it away from the side of the bike and onto your body, because, if you have an accident and the bike is landing on its side or worse, is going down a cliff, while you are laying bleeding on the road, your first aid is either trapped under the bike or 10 feet down the cliff. Always have a emergency whistle, a torch that can flash, a space blanket, some water and a first aid on your body.
Yam alright mate, great video but do you have a 35cwt Transit service van to carry all your kit. Watched a few of your videos now and like your style. Subscribed, stay safe :)
nice video Wulf , i take almost the same large equipment with me , let's call it luxury motorcycle camping , but i have a question : the fishing rod that you taking with you witch brand or type is it ? i hope to hear soon from you , keep on filming !!!!!!!
Bro, you got more gear on your bike than I have in my man cave. Thank you for sharing! I think some items are overkill tbh, like the kitchen sink, the tripod-chopping board (that's the kinda stuff I'd save real estate space and weight on) and for me personally the fishing gear (but if that's your hobby it's different I guess). But I have a question: why two different stoves? I'm planning my first motorbike camping trip at the moment and cooking is one of the things I am not sure how to handle efficiently...
Cheers buddy. I have cut down a fair bit since this video. Regarding stoves i now have an adaptor that fits different types of gas bottles rather than carrying 2 stoves. 👍👍
Very comprehensive kit a mix of comfort and basics... if its was a wr250 id say way to much but on the african twin take as much as you can especially in aussie.. hp sauce, coffee and water a must....great video keep up the good work
I'm interested in where you got that fold up sink from? What's it called? Be great to get some information on that.. but clothes lint as tinder.. thumbs up just for that ;)
Hi, I am planning a 16 day tour with my girlfriend on an R1200 GSA. BMW says that I can pack a max. of 25 kg in all three paniers. Unfortunately, I will have more gear. Question: can you exceed that limit and what should be a safe extra weight? What’s your experience with this? Thanks.
szlaeyer22 Hi. It depends on your panniers and boxes my old shad panniers were rated 10kg each and cheap top box was also 10kg I upgraded to givi outback aluminium boxes that take around 15kg and still they recommend 10kg in the top box even though its a 56ltr box My opinion would be if you carry a passenger at 75kg or a passenger at 55kg why cant you spread a bit more weight over the bike. A good practice is to try and bring weight forward, say tank bag or crash bar bags. Hope this helps 👍👍
Wulf On The Run the panniers are the stock BMW aluminum panniers, which are, in fact, supplied by Wunderlich :) passenger has approx. 60 kg and I do have a cheapo tank bag, but I’m not sure what I could fit in it, that’s heavier. However, I didn’t really try until now, so, thanks, that will be one area I’ll “work” on. I will also look into the crashbar bags. Thanks.
Hi Mike. I moved house mate. Been a battle. Need a new hip. And there's absolutely loads of motorcycle enthusiasts that are making the videos now. So not been bothered buddy. But thanks for remembering me.
Haha it looks hell of a lot but bear in mind there were different options to carry. Not all at the same time. It does fit easily into the panniers, top box and a bag on bag seat. I recently upgraded to givvi trekker boxes. Now no back seat bag. Cheers 👍👍
It looks a lot but loads easy on the bike. Did catch a big carp that weighed in at 6.6 kgs up on the mirrunbidgee river in NSW. Good job i had scales to prove it 😜😜
Mate very cool video. It doesn’t matter what we think, you have to carry it all. After a few rides you quickly work out what you and and don’t need. I’ve done 12 big rides and carry lots of stuff but I’ve never been unable to fix a problem. Good work. Ken
the reason you have about a 10 kg limit on your pannier per side and 5kg on your top box is because its all being held on your sub frame think you may just be a tad over but its not my bike so what the hell
It’s going to take you 5 years to put all that stuff back into the containers they came in. You are just like me. Take everything you could ever need. I spend more time getting ready than actually camping. Then whenI I go camping I never use any of the crap I brought along. Also , there is no way you could put all those fantastic well arranged things on motorcycle.
Australian outback and bushland can be ruthless. Fail to prepare. Prepare to fail. Heres the video of it all going back. 👍👍 th-cam.com/video/6_PqLot3ik0/w-d-xo.html
Nice kit, one or two suggestions.
1. Portable generator
2. Portable fridge
3. Pop up pool
4. Ice machine
5. Chicken coop (with chickens)
6. RV camper
Mr Tomatoface
Great idea buddy. Looks like i need some bigger panniers..lol
Mr Tomatoface .. absolutely correct..
Webasto is missing....
toilet bowl, flat tv, foot spa, she-shed...
kitchen sink ?

Well said mate👍
I was going to ask 'where's the kitchen sink?' and then you produced one!! nice one all the best from freezing UK.

As for me, I can totally understand that you want to keep some comfort and practical aspects when you go for a trip.
That being said I like the idea of the table made of a chopping board... Really nice !

Marcel Kuiper
Thanks Marcel. If you can carry it why not.. Happy shopping
Carries 2 stoves, 4 pans, fishing kit with heavy pliers and then takes the centre from the toilet roll so it squashes down to save space, priceless.
Yep thats why i can carry the 2 stoves fishing gear because i remove unneeded items... Derrrr
I Carey more clothes N things I do use every day And Less Stuff I might never use one day
the stove is good redundency the can wheighs nothing and doesnt require gas fuel witch is super easy and great but only burns an hour or so. and pliers are super handy for survival. sounds counter intuitive but i see a refined and personalized loadout based on experience.
Andy, I liked this straight away! No nonsense approach. Good advice ! (You'd need down bag if you did proper 3 season mate )
Thanks for sharing your load-out. I only have around 100 liters of storage, so I can't be near as thorough as you.

I have cut it down a bit since doing the video. But yes comfort comes first...
love the black country sticker on the bike
Oh yes got to be done. ✊

Haha yes good bags and why not Ay 👍
What kind of fishing pole is that you use? looks perfect and I would like to get one myself. Make and Manufacturer please? thank you! (loved the video thanks!)

Nice video and a lot of good ideas

Hi just seen your original post.. Lol i guess you found the video of loading the bike.👍
Yes I did ! LOL I could not believe that everything went into the panniers. But I'm like you, I carry a lot of stuff, I like to have comfort. Congratulations
I like all my gadgets too....thsts why I ride a big bike lol
Well prepared 👍
It is properly too much gear, but if it makes your journey better, then who cares, if you can have it on your motorcycle. :-)
I have only some comments about your first aid kit.
Fried Mule
Great suggestions thanks 👍
Yam alright mate, great video but do you have a 35cwt Transit service van to carry all your kit. Watched a few of your videos now and like your style. Subscribed, stay safe :)
Thanks Shane. Got to have your creature comforts mate... Lol
But have cut it down a bit now 👍👍
nice video Wulf , i take almost the same large equipment with me , let's call it luxury motorcycle camping , but i have a question : the fishing rod that you taking with you witch brand or type is it ? i hope to hear soon from you , keep on filming !!!!!!!
Cheers Eddy.
Fishing rod is just a cheap one of ebay
awesome video thank you
Cheers buddy 👍👍
Hi mate, thanks for sharing….could I ask what brand are the crash bar bags you have on?
Cheers
Hi Jase. They are Heed. I got them with the crash bars.
👍👍
@@WulfOnTheRun thanks mate, been looking for a decent set, look like they may fit my SRC crash bars on the T7
@@AusJase glad to help. 👍👍
@@WulfOnTheRun next question then lol, heed shop do not seem send to AU, did you get them sent over or from a distributor in AU?
@@AusJase i messaged them direct from ebay and they set up an order number for me including postage
Very comprehensive kit a mix of comfort and basics... if its was a wr250 id say way to much but on the african twin take as much as you can especially in aussie.. hp sauce, coffee and water a must....great video keep up the good work
warren hogan
Thanks warren
Cracking vid 👍🏻
Cheers Tom 👍
I'm interested in where you got that fold up sink from? What's it called? Be great to get some information on that.. but clothes lint as tinder.. thumbs up just for that ;)
Haha cheers 🍻
@@WulfOnTheRun - sorry just edited that comment to ask about the sink. Haven't come across those before
Sink off ebay. Heres the link 👍👍

Great video. I can tell that is years of experience but how do you get all that gear on the bike? 🤔 Crikey!
Heres the link to your question. th-cam.com/video/6_PqLot3ik0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks shaun
That's alot of gear!😀👍
Hi, I am planning a 16 day tour with my girlfriend on an R1200 GSA. BMW says that I can pack a max. of 25 kg in all three paniers. Unfortunately, I will have more gear. Question: can you exceed that limit and what should be a safe extra weight? What’s your experience with this? Thanks.
szlaeyer22
Hi. It depends on your panniers and boxes my old shad panniers were rated 10kg each and cheap top box was also 10kg
I upgraded to givi outback aluminium boxes that take around 15kg and still they recommend 10kg in the top box even though its a 56ltr box
My opinion would be if you carry a passenger at 75kg or a passenger at 55kg why cant you spread a bit more weight over the bike.
Thanks.
How about a solar charger for your phone? incase you run out of batteries or would prefer not to use them up.
T cor
Hi
The one battery pack is able to charge up by solar
Liking your thinking 👍👍
Bears don’t use toilet paper or baby wipes, they use rabbits and squirrels
I'm curious to see you pack the bike with all your gear.
Hi Nancy
Your wish is my command..

Great video, surprised by the negative comments!! It all looks good to me.
Cheers Patrick. Unfortanatley you cant please everyone.. 👍👍
How big is your trailer to haul all these goodies?
Its a 56L top box 1 x 48L pannier and 1x 36L pannier. no trailer...lol
Haven't seen any videos from you for at least a year. Are you nolonger doing them?
Hi Mike. I moved house mate. Been a battle. Need a new hip. And there's absolutely loads of motorcycle enthusiasts that are making the videos now. So not been bothered buddy.
But thanks for remembering me.
@@WulfOnTheRun thanks for the reply. Hope you get your op soon for the hip. Enjoyed watching your footage and tips.
Mate where do you put all this stuff? The bike must be well over 300kg. Far too much for me.
Haha it looks hell of a lot but bear in mind there were different options to carry. Not all at the same time.
It does fit easily into the panniers, top box and a bag on bag seat. I recently upgraded to givvi trekker boxes. Now no back seat bag.
Cheers 👍👍
coffee, black ..happy days ! Yep , agreed!
Max Flight
Hi Max thanks for the comments. Yep no nonsesence black coffee
I do have a couple of tie down straps and yes they work well """ Fantastic""
Max Flight, is 5*!
For those who enjoy coffee: th-cam.com/video/mtS_Wb-FFPs/w-d-xo.html
I love the video! You sure know how to shove a 100 pounds into a 50 pound sack!
Haha. Cheers David 👍👍
who makes the gear - where can I find it - no info
Hi Bill its bits from everywhere buddy mostly ebay, snowys outdoors, Rays outdoors and BCF
glad to see iam not the only one with a knife in my makeup bag. lol
That some heavy sh*t that setup, am curious do you think Your going to catch the same Yellow fin again ????Haaaaaa
It looks a lot but loads easy on the bike. Did catch a big carp that weighed in at 6.6 kgs up on the mirrunbidgee river in NSW. Good job i had scales to prove it 😜😜
Whats this guy riding? A pick up truck?
th-cam.com/video/_TdV8uqqubE/w-d-xo.html
WAAAAAYYYYY too much gear, man :)
windmusicfan
Im getting old buddy.. Need my comfort.. Lol
Got to work out how to carry the zimmer frame soon...
Too true. You can camp comfortably with about 1/3 of that, and weight on the bike adds up fast.
Mate very cool video. It doesn’t matter what we think, you have to carry it all. After a few rides you quickly work out what you and and don’t need. I’ve done 12 big rides and carry lots of stuff but I’ve never been unable to fix a problem. Good work. Ken
Ken Wilkinson
Cheers ken like you say if it as a use why not take it
Cheers buddy
windmusicfan I bet you’d be the first person to ask him for assistance when you desperately need it!!!
Great vid, where did you get the crash bar bags?
Ian W. From Poland mate. They are called heed that set is called the bunker. Check out ebay.co.uk
Brilliant thanks, will check them out.
get Rokstraps, nothing else is good enough on a motorbike imho
I couldn't understand a word !!
Haha. Black Country accent..😀
the reason you have about a 10 kg limit on your pannier per side and 5kg on your top box is because its all being held on your sub frame think you may just be a tad over but its not my bike so what the hell
wife gets attached to subframe and shes 70kg,,,,lol
Helsport do a bag 900+ mm wide
after all the time spent unloading and loading all that kit, when do you find time to ride ?
OZZY haha dont take that long. Heres a vid loading the bike..
th-cam.com/video/6_PqLot3ik0/w-d-xo.html
Wow all that on a bike? More like in the back of a Volvo... Estate... with a trailer. Ha ha. Good video mate.
Haha i sold the volvo to buy the bike.... Cheers buddy
