I don’t know if the ET Max is winning or loosing but if I see or hear of one more unacceptable cutout on the Lynx, I’m shipping mine back. As much as I love it, cutouts are no joke and shouldn’t happen w these high end, high speed, high cost wheels, like never. E-bikes don’t even belong on a chess board, more like checkers.
I think your comment about the cut-out highlights an under-talked about point about the Inmotion V14. I've changed a lot of tires, and I hate having to dis-assemble the whole wheel / control board just to get to the wheel.
It's niche enough being an EUC rider, it's even rarer to be a full time daily female EUC rider. I do feel like a queen! Haha. Thanks Zen! Love your content.
TBF you can swap out the V14's batteries easy in less than 5 minutes between time trials. But you're right Lynx is the more solid option as a all rounder. It's the perk but also the crutch of Leaperkim. I just wish they would commit and stop making mid jack of all trade all rounders and just overall get more involved.
Always good to hear your take and to keep the debate going. It’s good to be critical of these companies when new wheels are released. I have an ET coming so I appreciate it. I agree with all of your points except one. I think the ET will dominate the Lynx on the longer straighter portions of the track due to more stability and midrange power. The Lynx looks amazing and I would love to have one for off-road use mainly.
The ET demo units and earliest couple of samples are just getting to the public. Nobody has miles on them yet, they are not dialed in with the ideal settings yet. There is only one way to evolve from here and its a pretty good start.
It's good to be apprehensive. I think it was a oneoff cutout with more to the story than was told. I don't know about any other cutouts, but I think some people had the old buttons which jammed easy and could cause a type of cutout.
I think it is for oneride creators and team, but I can check if you like. They won't be cheap I'm guessing, this thing is quality, I've never had a sweater this nice.
I just did an awesome ride on my souped up pedal assist E bike. 42 miles and 5400 feet of elevation gain. About 2 1/2 hours, all single track. Hard to compare with an EUC, I love both!
Dear, Zen Lee/EUC Community: recently got the Patton, thought I had the settings right, on a slow turn on dirt, the wheel tilted and the wheel spun out violently, thought I broke my hand and leg as it hit my inside legit from under me.Couldn't walk for 5 days. any advice? Jason from E wheels said 45-55 degree tilt angle, My question is, why build a machine to do that? And why wasn't that a special warning in the manual as well as from Jason?! That's the 1 most important info and no one warned me, that machine can seriously injure someone young or small.I thought I did enough research before purchase, just like my last two wheels but this was a slow turn on dirt nothing crazy.Any advice from the community? experiences ?

As an empathetic human being I really don't get the mocking on either the Lynx or the ET Max. Every rider has its own needs. I'm a clear fan and a future buyer of the Lynx. I think both manufacturers will do their best to put out the best product they can. With more or less success. However, competition is GOOD for us, it's good for the market!
