You're right about the grind. I can tell you even after 27 years carhauling I still have days I want to throw my tie down bar through the nearest window and walk.

You say you deliver cars south and reload with grain going north? I ran an 11 car stinger for "On Time Auto Transport" out of Upland, Ca. for 12 years. Before I retired, I drove for a Union Teamster outfit called "ATC" or "Automobile Transport Company" out of Gardena, Ca. for 9 years. In all my time hauling cars, we NEVER reloaded with grain. "ATC" hauled strictly brand new vehicles out of the ports and the rail yards delivering to dealerships and storage lots. We always deadheaded home.

Hey buddy. Not sure what you mean about the grain but we only haul vehicles.

@@againstthegraintv2818 My bad! As stated earlier, I am retired and turned 65 this yr. and the hearing doesn't work like it used to. I just re-watched your video and realized what you meant when you said "running with the grain"
Truck stop parking tip: While working for ATC, the transporters were day cabs. We had hotel accounts and no matter if it was day or night, "truck parking" was never an issue. I believe United Road is a Union Teamster Company. If so, they might have hotel accounts.

Ay congrats man did you go to United Road as a new driver or experienced? Also, is your truck automatic or manual?

Thats an auto. You can see the gear indicator above the tach. The orange gear ring with N under it. Also most URS trucks are auto.

Hey bro, I’ve been driving over 10 years. Just started car hauling though. United Road is take guys with absolutely no car hauler experience now from what I can see. Other car hauler companies are doing the same. I believe the need for car haulers is so heavy they’re loosing the ropes tremendously now.

Hey, yes I did at first but smelled something burning so I disconnected it. My microwave was too strong I believe. I think it’s best to let the mechanic at your company hook everything up so if something go wrong it’s not on you.
