When my son was around 2/3 years old my best friend made a comment about how his toys were always out in our living room. I told her "I know that I will look back on this time someday and miss these days so I don't care". I'm 52 now and he's 18, and boy was I ever right. Treasure every single moment of your little ones. It's the only thing that matters. Thanks for sharing this relaxing video. It made me forget my stressful week at work for a little while. God bless you & your family.
@Benshe100 that is so true! My boys are 23 & 26 now, and their childhood went by in a flash. I would go back to those days and soak it up more if I was able! ♡
So true. My son always wanted to play with his toys in the room that I was in. Everyone told me to tell him to keep the mess in his room upstairs. Well I didn't he spent his time playing around us. Anyhow he is 21 now and has a very close bond with us still. So glad I chose to put him first and not a clean house.
Sorry for my English. I am from Ukraine and in Ukraine. And I think I understand what it is like to live in chaos. In 2022, with the start of a full-scale war, I stopped cleaning my house altogether. I thought: "What kind of cleaning can there be if missiles are raining down on your head?" I lived in constant anticipation of the end of the war, postponing life "for later". But the war does not end. And now, I realized that this "later" may not come. Life is happening right here and now. The problems will not end. One trouble will be replaced by another. But my home can become a small island of peace for me and my family. A place where I can at least control something in my life. Maybe a missile will fly into my house tomorrow and I will die. And dying, I would not like to think that I missed my chance to enjoy life, even in such conditions. So, I am sure that it does not matter how clean your house is now, how tired you are of problems, as long as your loved ones are near, as long as you can hold their hand, as long as you can somehow make their life easier and give them your care - life is beautiful. And you have to enjoy life no matter what.
You are not alone... I pray for you and all the people of Ukraine every day and ask God's help and protection for you all. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to live with such aggression violence and danger all the time. May God change the hearts of those responsible and bring an end to the war so all of Ukrainian people can live in peace in their own country. Always remember there are people like me all around the world who care and are praying for a happy end to the war and for better times ahead for all of you. Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
thank you so much for your honest and vulnerability. the people of Ukraine are always in my heart, praying for you and your family specifically! thank you for your oh so true words!
My brother in law is also in Ukraine and his wife and family. I hope the war ends very soon friend. I pray for peace in your home and in Ukraine 💖 this comment is so poignant as a reminder not to take anything for granted and not to put things off. Thank you for being here with me today.
12:00. "Oh, cleaning and scrubbing will wait until tomorrow. But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust, go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby. Babies don't keep." Keep being you!❤
I have been watching your videos for a few weeks. When you often filmed the rain coming down on your house, I thought "She must live in the Pacific Northwest" and you mentioned that in this video 😊 I live in the Pacific Northwest!! I am in my 60s and love how you use what you have and make a beautiful home for your family ❤
You and your life remind me so much of my Gramma's life, she had 8 kids and lost her wonderful husband early in their marriage. She did so much, loved so much and was the heart of a massive extended family when she passed at 92. Everyone loved her. Her life was simple, she always had a hug or smile for you. She was constantly doing mostly because she was so used it, but in her heart she enjoyed doing. My Mom was so very much like my Gramma, I miss them both so much. Thank you for your lovely videos.
I’m binge watching your videos. At 56 I remember many things you love being a part of my childhood at my grandma’s house. I loved it there. I never cared that many things were worn, or not the latest or she didn’t dress the coolest. I loved her and the way her house smelled bc she was always cooking or baking. I loved sitting around the table much like that one and telling stories and drinking tea. I find comfort in your videos. Your children will only remember your love and attention and the special things you made them. Glad I found your channel 💜
I just wanted to say Kristina you are an inspiration. Stepping away from consumerism and really enjoying your home , children, husband and normal everyday task makes a better healthier life.❤
I can’t tell you how much I adore when you make these kind of videos. Just watching you do things, create, clean, and care for your family fills me with so much happiness and gives me a feeling of contentment. I just love your family.
I absolutely love your videos. My husband and I don't have kids, but I am disabled and in constant chronic pain and my wonderful husband has ADHD that makes it hard for him to finish tasks. Our home is never fully clean, but I love it so so much. We recently lost one of our cats, and it has been so quiet at home it has been hard for me. The mess is not ideal, but it's also a sign of a busy house filled with love and activity! Keep making such wonderful content and thank you for being you on the internet! We need more people showing real life and appreciating it!
Kristina, this video was such a blessing to me. This is exactly the way we do life around here. You are home with your kids and tending to what is important. ❤❤❤ also I love your home. You have made it a real home not just a house!
With social media it can be hard to remember that there are those of us that find our peace and love in the ‘chaos’ of family life however that looks for us. The ‘messes’ that make a house a home that is used in love and creativity. As my children are getting older these are becoming less but I still try to take that breath and remember that patience and joining in is what builds our core memories of love and family. ❤
Go with the flow and everything is going to be alright. When you talked about washing in the corner and not folded, I look up to my chair and washing that is not fold and thought of Aunty Nola and her washing. Her pile was bigger than mine . Miss her. Yes, the kids will grow up but sometimes they come home and then one day grand babies will turn up and the fun will start again.
Kristina- you and the vintage lifestyle you have chosen is very beautiful. I enjoy your videos very much. Never compare yourself to other TH-camrs because YOU are very unique. 💐
Many store will give you pallets for free if you ask, some have a designated spot for free pallets because they pay for them to be hauled to garbage otherwise, we have used them as fire wood during hard times winters.
Those ending proverbs of wisdom made me cry. Finding value every day and putting people and joy over a perfectly manicured space. Also humbled by how long it took Kristina to find her MCM dinette table. Mine was just GIVEN to me. Albeit, it needs a bit of work, re-chroming and some protective Formica wax. There are other things that took me a year to find (like my Art Deco TV console table, technically a dresser), so. Thankful for the quick blessings and the long-term ones.
I feel like my life is in chaos. I need to be intentional to change that. I watch videos like these to feel the calm. I also want to learn more about herbs. Thank you for your knowledge. I love the play kitchen! You are very creative! Your table looks so nice. I’m happy for you finding it! I get overwhelmed easily. Thank you for this video 🌷🩷
You are such a great Mama! I loved the little outdoor kitchen. What a great idea! I pray your beautiful little family is blessed around the new table, and many lovely memories are made in your cozy kitchen.
Not me crying because you just described exactly how I feel. I have had a tough month and seeing the good and beauty in the small, every day things has been so hard. I have also spiraled and felt like I was losing myself. That I wasn't a good enough mother, or wife, and I have felt like I had no purpose. But I'm slowly getting myself out of the dark hole that is my own brain. With the help of my husband and mom, I'm able to see the light at the end and slowly seeing the beautiful things around me again. I love your videos so much, I feel like we have so much in common and you're so relatable. Thank you for showing us a small portion of your life so that me and others don't feel so alone. ❤🫶🏼
Hang in there 🫂❤️🩹 I know the feeling. I guess that doesn't help much, but I spent years telling myself that I am safe, the landscape is beautiful, I have a place to sleep. It's really hard to absorb when life is flat gray and 1 dimensional. Just focus on a simple schedule, and know you are accomplishing something, even if you don't feel like it. If you can't enjoy something nice, like funny movies or music, just focus on self care. You are worth it! Hugs🫂
Good morning Kristina. Your kitchen has always been my favorite room in your home but seeing your children around the new vintage table makes it even more beautiful. 😍 Take good care of yourself and I will see you soon. 💋
I get so emotional thinking about how fast life is going by. I am a new mom, my son is 15 months old. I am both happy and tender when i think that he will not always be the sweet baby i can hold in my hands. Thinking about how the world devours and changes us, about how i am going to have to at some point, soon, give him up, not have him all to myself... Those thoughts hurt my heart. But it is a blessing to be able to raise a child and see them grow and thrive. Nevertheless, it's a bitter sweet realization that these precious moments are fleeting, so i hold him and kiss him strongly and lovingly so, so hard! ❤
I loved this video so much!!! I love, that at the same time in this old world, we are raising children and you choose to share these moments and inspirations with us all. I love this style of video you've been making lately. I found tears coming to my eyes when you were talking about the laundry and the dishes. I always "fail" in these areas at keeping up. But im seeing its not failing. What's happening *now* is so important. The everyday and mundane is magic, it's their childhood. Thank you so much kristina, for sharing your heart and home. It makes me feel not alone in the struggle. ❤
I just LOVE this content, its a calming simple life! Beautifully done Kristina! Thanks for giving me a calm in the midst of my daily chaos! I've been watching your videos for a couple of years and just had to finally write to tell you how happy your content makes me. I love the ways that you teach all of us how we need to embrace people who are neurodivergent and learn new ways to approach tasks. Thank you, Love Jules
I love your house so much! You designed it beautifully inside and out! The pallet kitchen is a genius idea; my bed and desk chair are made out of pallets my dad and I got from a dumpster outside a furniture store.
I do remember the endless dishes! Piles of laundry to fold. Over time it became less as one by one my children wanted to do their own laundry, sometimes the laundry would be bogged down as they would forget to hang or dry their clothes but that became less the more we went on. My husband recently stayed in Taiwan for 2 weeks, floor didn’t need to be swept as often as I used it,to,, house stayed tidy. So I can’t blame the children, it was him and only him that creates chaos in our house 😂😂😂 My house can be described as a cosy minimalist, but I absolutely adore people like you who live and breathe new life into vintage items. 👏 👏 👏 love them. I have been collecting vintage sewing patterns, will start to make my own 1940s clothing when I have time and routine. Can’t wait! Love the “new” table. Reminds me of the one my mother had - orange base. Fond memories.
I have yarrow in my backyard. You should have known my mother. She passed away recently. We'd go on walks in the forest (BC) and she'd peer at the ground with her hands behind her back for balance as she stooped over. And give us an education as she went. Self-diagnosed as neurodivergent in her 60s, and was quite open in telling us. If only earlier, she might have understood herself better and developed those passions much earlier, been easier on herself. She lived in Montreal when she was little, where her father worked as a buyer in the garment district. A contemporary of William Shatner and Leonard Cohen, whom she admired. Leonard that is. She said that the Americans are mistaken about bagels and that they actually originated with the Jewish bakers of Montreal. Further research required to confirm that. She had an honours degree in English and was quite eloquent. And then met my much older father and had seven of us, the first 6 within 7 years. A voracious reader with an open mind about her reading material; I'd look the other way when she picked up the old tabloids at the checkout. 🥰
Seeing your beautiful children seated around the kitchen table was a perfect ending to this lovely vlog, Kristina! Time spent with those we love is the most important thing......Always!🥰 Also, I had no idea about yarrow! It grows abundantly in my wildflower garden. I will have to check out the book you recommended.
The play kitchen is so fun and clever. Making it and the anticipation of it is what makes it fun. Your kitchen table is a real find. Isn't it nice that you can still find vintage things around when you look?
Try Barkeepers friend cleanser on your table stains! Works wonders on our laminate tops 👌 and also takes away hard water stains on tubs and potties. Love the new table!!
Dear Kristina, I have followed you for a few years now, and by far, this new style of filming is a favourite! Love your imperfect, but yet, perfect home.
I love your videos. Such a good reminder to spend time making joy & memories in the simple things. I loved the kids kitchen. What a great way to reuse, create & let them participate!
Your videos always touch my heart, truly. ❤ And you’re doing beautifully, please don’t be so hard on yourself…if more families were like this, society wouldn’t be in such a mess. Love the play kitchen and the new kitchen table! My Grandma had a table like that in her old farmhouse when I was a kid, and seeing one like it brings back such warm memories.🥰. Thank you for sharing with us, you are such a gem!💎🌹
Oh my. What you feel every mom and homemaker feels too. I know i did. I would constantly compare myself with Martha. I love to cook and bake. Finally i just said to myself my kid are loved fed and safe. The other stuff can wait. That sisn’t happ[en until they were much older though. Now i enjoy my time with a 3 yr old and everything else can wait. Be kind to yourself. You’re the only one like you.♥
This was a beautiful reminder to enjoy life. We tend to get caught up in the day to day struggles, we forget to stop breathe and take in the beauty of life.
I've only just found your channel and this video is so calm and pleasant I am a new subscriber. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to join with your family as you go about your day. I live in Northern Ireland in a very modest little old cottage and am blessed to have my lovely kind brother coming every day to take my dog walking and do a lot of things that are too much for me now. Your little handmade kitchen for your little ones is a great idea and much better than a shop bought plastic version. God bless you all and keep you safe and well. Vera❤
Thank you for sharing this. Even as I wait to have little ones running around it's a beautiful reminder to enjoy the time I have with my husband as well 💕
You have one of the most soothing voices I have ever heard and I just love that your videos are like sitting at a friends kitchen table for a warm visit! Sometimes when I’m having a really challenging day being a mom and wife and even just a woman I grab a cuppa and snuggle into my comfy chair and turn on your channel to give myself a boost, even revisiting some of my favorite videos again! I hope you know that you are an amazing friend to so many even when we can’t give back to you. ❤
these videos are like warm hugs to my soul. like a more seasoned mother gently encouraging me in my own motherhood. my son is 4 next week and too often I get caught up in the "instagram homemaker", but this feels more like my life. you make all of the ordinary parts of motherhood feel so magical. thank you!
I love your style, your simplicity, how you’re thinking about overconsumption and what you want for your kids future, they have an incredible mama they can be proud of 🥰 I love watching your videos for vintage content but it also inspires my motherhood with my baby. You’re so right, we shouldn’t compare with others, the best we do is already great 🤗
Oh how I love these videos!! So much peace & calm. It's so good to have the reminder to live with intention and to choose to live slowly. Cherish the mess & chaos of your littles, they will be grown far too soon. The silence is deafening when the last one leaves. 😢 Love watching your family work together on projects and seeing your kids interact with you & each other so candidly. Your family is beautiful ❤️
I’m also having a B-U-S-Y summer too. It’s too much but I’m starting to just focus on the day at hand. Thank you for this video! Your “new” kitchen table is awesome and I love your outdoor kitchen too!
I love your videos, they're always so calming for me. I had a black & white table w/matching chairs & like a dummy I sold it. Your house is adorable & I love how vintage everything is. I have a lot of vintage things too. Thank you for making these videos & never compare yourself! You're unique & lovely!❤
That play kitchen is great! I think projects built by hand and made with love are so much more special than anything store bought. You should take a picture of it as I’m sure your kids would love to look back years from now and have fond memories of what their mother spent time building bc you loved them enough to give them something to make them happy and fill your home with smiles and laughter.
Dearest Kristina, I adore your life. My kiddos are 20 and 16. I miss these days you're immersed in now, and I wish I could've discovered all you have discovered about simplicity when I was in that season. Also, I absolutely love my nesco dehydrator. Found 2 on marketplace and they were a game changer. Dehydrating is my favorite way to preserve food and herbs. If you like dehydrating, I highly recommend one. 😊 Happy homemaking!♡
Kristina, never forget you are just amazing and we love everything about you and your home. You are real and just enjoy every moment you have with your children as they are precious. Love Celyne
10:25 I’m in tears because this was exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been struggling since my 5th baby was born 4 months ago and it feels like I spiral into this dark hole of overwhelm because keeping up on everything is SO hard (impossible yet I keep comparing myself to others, and my house to others) and the noise is constant and the clutter is never ending. You remind me to cherish the small moments, those tiny, sticky handprints, those messes from daily childhood development. You are like a balm to my soul! It was amazing to see you foraging that yarrow! And building that play kitchen 🥹 you are incredible! I grew up with yarrow in the PNW and it is local here in UT as well but I’ve never foraged it. 💛
I always look forward to a new video. The way you edit the video paired with your narration plays like a short story capturing sentiments and emotions that span across time, love of family, home, and life. There will always be those who have more and less than you and we all have moments of longing for what others have leading us to say, “ I wish…we need money to fix the…if only…” but living in the present and making the most of what you have now makes every day an opportunity to create special moments. Many years from now it would be very interesting to hear your children’s comments as adults on what it was like for them growing up with the simplicity it seems many others are currently trying to achieve (minimalism, decluttering, living with less, reduced consumerism,) in an attempt to refocus on what really matters in life.
I'm not a parent, but I take care of parents. They ended up getting covid back in 2020 and between the aftermath of covid (my mom especially got clobbered with it and the aftermath of it is awful) and just getting older, unfortunately they aren't able to do as much as they were able to even 4 years ago. I definitely needed a reminder to slow down.
Your choice of background music always goes so well with your content, it's so beautiful ... Also your collection of ceramics and jars is adorable :) The fact that you manage a regular household of 7 people and still run a channel for like-minded people speaks so much about your energy and enthusiasm for life in general. Regarding giving yourself hard time about unfavourable comments on the internet or in real life, 1) not necessarily they might be negative all the time but can provide a definitive view of our own self, as in - 2) to see it as a third person and check whether it has any weightage and if I can actually improve something that I had overlooked, 3) or if it is just a disagreement which I can let go and not affect me as a personal criticism. I have learned so much about myself in positive and negative ways through internet that at this point I do not see things as black and white, but just pick up what can enrich/improve me and ignore what does not suit my lifestyle and philosophy. Hope it helps in being at the receiving end of the social media being a youtuber, which is not the case for the viewers like me.
You’re doing a terrific job momma! The liitles will always remember the time you spent with them. Not the house, how clean it was, laundry pile ups etc. I sure miss those days❤
This video was beautiful and brought so much peace to my heart ❤️❤️🥹 I have one small child and I stay at home with him and I cherish all the moments I can and I love sitting at my kitchen table with coffee too simple things are so special ☺️

Your comment brought to me tears, as I reflected on my memories of being a mommy of littles.
Thank you for the encouragement. This is something I’m still learning. My kids are still small and I constantly fight the urge to clean everything up.

You make a beautiful home. It's so cozy and inviting.

Real and simply beautiful!🥲🥰🫶🥰
I just LOVE this content, its a calming simple life! Beautifully done Kristina! Thanks for giving me a calm in the midst of my daily chaos! I've been watching your videos for a couple of years and just had to finally write to tell you how happy your content makes me. I love the ways that you teach all of us how we need to embrace people who are neurodivergent and learn new ways to approach tasks. Thank you, Love Jules
I love this video. I’m 56 and my children are all grown now but this brings back so many memories. ❤
So I can’t blame the children, it was him and only him that creates chaos in our house 😂😂😂
My house can be described as a cosy minimalist, but I absolutely adore people like you who live and breathe new life into vintage items.
You are such a breath of fresh air. I love your cozy home, your loving manner, and your affirming words. Your children are blessed. ❤
The play kitchen is so fun and clever. Making it and the anticipation of it is what makes it fun. Your kitchen table is a real find. Isn't it nice that you can still find vintage things around when you look?
I feel like your kitchen is quickly becoming your happy place 🥰 it has so much love and character. Miss you!!
Try Barkeepers friend cleanser on your table stains! Works wonders on our laminate tops 👌 and also takes away hard water stains on tubs and potties. Love the new table!!
Oooh thank you I will!
Dear Kristina, I have followed you for a few years now, and by far, this new style of filming is a favourite! Love your imperfect, but yet, perfect home.
It's my favorite also. ❤
Loved the plaid dress you had on so cute
You're creating beautiful memories for your babies that will last them a lifetime.. now that's priceless ❤
love your videos! thank you for sharing
You’re the only one like you.♥
I absolutely adore your new kitchen table. It's so authentic to the period and just makes your whole kitchen come alive. It's fabulous!🤩🤩❤❤❤
This was a beautiful reminder to enjoy life. We tend to get caught up in the day to day struggles, we forget to stop breathe and take in the beauty of life.
The esthetics of your videos remind me so much of The Cottage Fairy. Simply lovely! ♡
Oh Paola’s videos are so beautiful this is such a lovely compliment!
@WithLoveKristina I LOVE her videos so much! And I have bought so many of her notecards, etc. She is amazing, and so are you, truly! ♡
Even as I wait to have little ones running around it's a beautiful reminder to enjoy the time I have with my husband as well 💕
Love the little flower touches on the pretty table♥️
This is the sweetest video I have seen you in
You have one of the most soothing voices I have ever heard and I just love that your videos are like sitting at a friends kitchen table for a warm visit! ❤
Excellent apron content :) I’m loving your new video direction. It fits you and you seem happier 💚
Filming like this has taken so much stress off. It’s much easier on me, easier to edit, and more comfortable too
Keep finding joy. It's always there if you look hard enough. ❤
Been a rough summer😢 Chaos just keeps on coming😕
I understand. I have had many years of crazy running but 3 years ago my health had started to decline and forced me to slow down. I am thankful❤❤❤❤
Absolutely beautiful video!
these videos are like warm hugs to my soul. like a more seasoned mother gently encouraging me in my own motherhood. my son is 4 next week and too often I get caught up in the "instagram homemaker", but this feels more like my life. you make all of the ordinary parts of motherhood feel so magical. thank you!
What you did with the plastic bear tub was genius!!!
Thank gou for such a lovely video!!!!☺️
I love your style, your simplicity, how you’re thinking about overconsumption and what you want for your kids future, they have an incredible mama they can be proud of 🥰 I love watching your videos for vintage content but it also inspires my motherhood with my baby. You’re so right, we shouldn’t compare with others, the best we do is already great 🤗
I'm always lighthearted after watching your vlogs❤
Always lovely💜 (you may already know this, azelaic acid works very well for eczema. The ordinary makes an affordable one)
Beautiful. Ty❤
This is how I pictured my dream of a perfect family that I will never have. Be proud of you ❤🤗
Thank you so much for this.
I’m also having a B-U-S-Y summer too. It’s too much but I’m starting to just focus on the day at hand. Thank you for this video! Your “new” kitchen table is awesome and I love your outdoor kitchen too!
Also enjoy your vlog like always
I love your videos, they're always so calming for me. I had a black & white table w/matching chairs & like a dummy I sold it. Your house is adorable & I love how vintage everything is. I have a lot of vintage things too. Thank you for making these videos & never compare yourself! You're unique & lovely!❤
I absolutely love your kitchen! So cozy and lovely ♥️
Love the video🧡🤗
The play kitchen is adorable!❤️
Another beautiful video - a moment of calm in the chaos of life! That baked oatmeal looked delicious, would you mind sharing your recipe? ❤
Dearest Kristina,
I adore your life.
Happy homemaking!♡
Good to see you. Hope you are doing well!
So many good thoughts! And so beautifully and creatively put together…❤
You look beautiful and this is lovely!! ❤ So interesting about the plants.
Your house really does feel like a home. ❤ I would choose it over a modern, fancy apartment or masion any day, and I really do mean that.
Your choice of background music always goes so well with your content, it's so beautiful ... Also your collection of ceramics and jars is adorable :) The fact that you manage a regular household of 7 people and still run a channel for like-minded people speaks so much about your energy and enthusiasm for life in general.
Regarding giving yourself hard time about unfavourable comments on the internet or in real life,
1) not necessarily they might be negative all the time but can provide a definitive view of our own self, as in -
2) to see it as a third person and check whether it has any weightage and if I can actually improve something that I had overlooked,
3) or if it is just a disagreement which I can let go and not affect me as a personal criticism.
I love that watching your videos feels like looking into a mirror (down to the way I take my coffee lol). I never feel inadequate or doubtful. ❤
❤❤❤
You’re doing a terrific job momma! The liitles will always remember the time you spent with them. Not the house, how clean it was, laundry pile ups etc. I sure miss those days❤
Hi this is Dalene,,Haven’t the wild sweet peas around where we live been beautiful this year!❤
You're the mom I wish I would've/could've been. 🥹 Blessings to you and yours.🌷🐇❤
Lovely video, thank you! And seeing the kiddies tucking in to some tasty treat at the end, priceless!
Loved this video sooo much❤❤❤
This video was beautiful and brought so much peace to my heart ❤️❤️🥹 I have one small child and I stay at home with him and I cherish all the moments I can and I love sitting at my kitchen table with coffee too simple things are so special ☺️
