They have Vando for that. Pre injury he had the third best plus minus on the team and NET rating. Ham also finally ran plays for him and he got several double digit scoring games, while rebounding and defending at a high level. I think JJ can bring out even more in Vando by adding some floor spacing to his game. Lakers could use another type of player like this

Laker weaknesses: 1. Rebounding. 2. Length. 3. Defense. 4. Making baskets when it counts. 5. A.D. don't wanna play the 5 so still we need a 5. and 6. Hard to find "name" veterans content with a diminished role player gig and losing personal stats by only shooting 9 to 12 shots per game + potentially dropping the value of their next contract as a result. At this point, it looks like the best options might be Lauri M at the 5 and Gary Trent, Jr.

Brandon Ingram is another Durant if used correctly. He can be a beast.

  • @tylerk4641
    @tylerk4641 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I'd be down to acquire Ingram. Long 6'8 solid defender , scorer 21ppg third star caliber guy. He's had games for pelicans where he's taken over and he's similar to Durant with the length and scoring.
Really the biggest issue is the health questions. It's understandable especially with AD and Bron not being the healthiest of players at this stage of career but I think his load would be a bit lighter as him, Bron, and AD would share so hopefully lead to less games missed.
Ig the biggest risk in this whole thing is his contract situation. He's got one season left if you trade for him and essentially go all in saying fuck the 2 first round picks and a swap plus some players your putting yourself in a position where you gotta be assured he just doesn't walk for nothing next summer and all of your assets are gone. You essentially gotta be willing to pay him probably atleast 40 million a year for a long term contract and have that set when you pull the trigger on trade. He's 26 and has shown he could be a allstar level guy I think it's a risk but also something that could be great and get us back into contention with that big 3. So I think you definitely need to atleast consider it and have those conversations about potential trade packages probably revolving around the 2 first round picks.

Get Brook or Kessler or Wendell Carter...a BIG
We didn't do it last year. We didn't do it at the draft last year or this year and now all we have is Hayes...😢

I completely agreed with this. I really don't understand why they didn't secure Valenciunas. His contract is small and the Wizards are terrible. I don't understand what happened with the lakers.

The last thing the Lakers need is an injury prone player. Had two guys that were supposed to play a lot last year out the entire season and AD's had always gotten injured. Just wait and see what's happening leading up to the trade deadline. There's going to be several teams tanking for this next, supposedly, loaded draft.

We always think about trades but how are we going to pull-off one given our cap situation? No one wants to take DLo or Rui, and Lakers does not want to send Reaves away. Accept it, this is our team. We need to improve internally. Looking at you Gabe, Vando and Max.

If Ingram can come at an acceptable price, would love to have BI home. I agree that Lakers roster not that far off, if Vanderbilt and Vincent come back healthy and contributing as expected, and Christie gets a breakout year (which he could have had last year but for Ham), and Hayes develops further. Hmm…a lot of “ifs” 😅

Why is there no credence given to the fact that 2 key players were injured all of last season and will now come back healthy? I think the Lakers are closer to being championship contenders with the roster we have, then everyone is giving them credit for, barring health.

Brandon is fickle. Remember with the Lakers he fell asleep in terms of personality. You couldn't tell if he was really there. Then they traded him and he played well but now they want to get rid of him for personality reasons. He just falls asleep at times.

I used to really want BI but after seeing that Lavine could get LAL a FRP, I’d rather get him.
BI will take at least 1 FRP. I’m tired of owing picks to the Pels.
All that being said, if they traded DLo/Rui/Wood/1 FRP for BI, I do think it could work if LAL can make some shrewd signings as well as trade for a Center like N.Richards(1 protected FRP, JHS, Reddish) to round out the roster.
Sign GTJ to TPMLE. Sign RoCo and Kyle Lowry to vet minimums
    PG Gabe/Lowry
    SG Max/AR
    SF BI/Vando
    PF Bron/RoCo
    C AD/Richards
